We had an extremely disappointing experience with Mosafil…read more Before placing our order, we specifically asked multiple times in writing whether the black and white marble tiles (product codes TM33850 and TM33818) were suitable for outdoor use in Como, Italy, where winters include freezing temperatures. Their customer service team repeatedly assured us the tiles were frost-resistant and safe for outdoor use. When the order arrived, every single box was clearly labeled "NOT SUITABLE FOR OUTDOOR USE." Our builders immediately refused to install them without liability waivers. We contacted Mosafil right away, and only then did they admit there had been a "data entry error" on their side -- meaning they had sold us tiles for a use they were not fit for. Their proposed "solution" was either sending us a special adhesive (to somehow make indoor tiles safe outdoors) or collecting the tiles for a refund. While they did eventually acknowledge fault, they did not address the significant logistical costs and delays we incurred -- including third-party transport, crane lifts, and a halted construction project. This was a major mistake that cost us both time and money. For a company that advertises professionalism, their internal controls and product knowledge were shockingly poor. If you're considering ordering from Mosafil, I would strongly caution you: double-check every specification directly with the manufacturer, and do not rely on Mosafil's assurances. We would not order from them again.

To our surprise, nobody contacted us in advance to explain why the tiles are not arriving, apologize or give any explanation when to expect them. We hired construction guys who work on our floor and kitchen and we planned for that week to put the tiles and now it is impossible. Explanation of support-it is your responsibility to email us when you don't receive them and you emailed 4 days later and response time is 48 hours. We send 40000 orders, we can't know what is happening with your order, we don't know so you need to wait.Great! And we pay these construction guys now not knowing at all where in the world these tiles are, are they damaged, are they going to be delivered any time soon or any explanation. After having been to some great places in the Speicherstadt, we decided to follow the amazing…read moresmells of the Spice Museum up the stairs and explore the wonders of far away lands. Poking fingers into sacks of peppercorns and sniffing pots of star anise and cardamom initiated the strong desire to own more spices and fill my kitchen with their amazing smells. Next doors spice bazaar seemed the perfect place to do so. I have to admit I was deeply disappointed by the spices on offer. As far as I can tell one could find all of them in any normal Turkish supermarket over here (and even in some well stocked Sainsburys). They had all the usual TRS spices, plus the very common Pataks curry sauces and some more or less exotic teas. They also stocked a huge amount of what I would call Moroccan nick knacks and souvenirs. That's not a spice bazaar. Its a badly done mixture of a souvenir shop and a supermarket. All very average and not very enticing. It goes without saying that we left the place without buying.

Disappointing, but don't let that stop you from perusing their incredibly complete selection of bricks, tiles, and virtually any sort of hard flooring material you might want to install yourself. They are simply too busy to do it for you. Why am I reminded of Yogi Berra's malaprop, " They are so busy nobody goes there anymore"?

Mobel Buss is amazing upon first sight. It is a gigantic retail store set in the midst of houses…read moreand farmland. It is the closest thing one could imagine to IKEA, without being IKEA. Architecturally, IKEA is a big blue and yellow concrete box. Mobel Buss is a feast for the eyes, with a three-story fully lit, glassed-in oversized semi-circular entrance. Once inside you notice a spiral walkway leading to the second and third levels. This concrete walkway is reminiscent of those adorning Qualcomm stadium, but it only goes up about thirty feet. It is unique among department stores, in my experience. There is a bank of elevators well-signed for those in need. This store has inventory !! It is primarily a very well-stocked furniture store, as the name implies, but it also carries regular merchandise for the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. There is a complete kids section, and once again, like IKEA it has a restaurant tucked away on the third floor. It seems to be well-managed, too. The displays are organized and logical, and even the Christmas merchandise display was already up and bustling with customers. I was approached by sales staff offering assistance, unlike IKEA where a staffer needs to be tackled to be asked a simple question. The prices are neither bargain basement nor out of reach for the average wage earner. Can it get any better than this? I don't see how.
