Major flop. It's sad that I enjoyed the steak fries but not enough to make up for their horrible service, dingy, unkept restaurant, and their "vegetarian" burger is cooked on the same grill. We arrived first, ordered the same meal as the gentleman who arrived 10 minutes after and they served him first? Also owned by the restaurant next door.

Loved this place! Stopped on our road trip for a quick meal and was very pleased! Service was amazing, very kind workers and quick service. Definitely stop by for a quick meal. View was also very nice when eating outside.

    Apple pie a la mode

My sweet tooth was kicking after being in the wilderness for a couple days. We stopped by about 20-30 minutes before closing for some dessert. The apple pie a la mode: DELICIOUS The service: this is the reason for 5 stars. Even before closing, the fact that the man working asked us if we wanted the pie warmed up and the ice cream on the side, was SO SWEET. It made the apple pie taste that much more delicious. I'd come back for some apple pie :))) thank you kind sir for your great service

    Tri tip sandwich

The food at this place is just okay but the service is awesome! Stopped by with girlfriend and family for an early dinner and we sat outside. This place boasts having great bbq but there isn't really anything to write home about. I personally had the tri-tip sandwich and it was okay. It was a large portion with a lot of meat and generous serving of tater tots. But it lacked flavor and sauce. My girlfriend had a no bun burger which she said was still pretty good but her favorite thing was the fries. The service was awesome with good pacing, consistent check-ins, and timely drink refills and request for sauces. This place was on the pricier side for what it was regarding quality. I'd recommend stopping by here if you're craving a burger.

The BBQ combination plates were great. The pork BBQ ribs were tasty. Place was not crowded and there was plenty of street parking on a Monday afternoon. Service was fast and friendly.

Service was alright, the new guy was under instruction. Friendly. Quality and quantity far exceeded our expectations. Great flavor on the tri-tip sandwich.

We went there both for dinner and breakfast, and one thing became very clear very quickly: the portions here are absolutely gigantic. We learned fast that sharing was the smartest strategy unless we planned to spend the rest of the day recovering from a food coma. The breakfast burrito deserves its own monument. No exaggeration, that thing could probably feed four people comfortably, and somehow it was also excellent. Huge and delicious is a dangerous combination. The night before, we had enchiladas that were also very good and satisfying after a long day of driving and exploring. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the whole place had an easygoing mountain-town charm. They also serve wine and beer, which made dinner even more enjoyable. One of the best parts of the café is the outdoor garden seating area. It is really lovely, peaceful, and has partial views toward Mono Lake, which makes the experience feel even more special. Overall, this place felt warm, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming. Great food, enormous portions, beautiful outdoor seating, and exactly the kind of spot you hope to find on a road trip.

The meal also came with a piece of cornbread. The cost of the sampler is $28. Brisket had a decent bark, although im not certain both sides of the brisket was seasoned but it was pretty tender. The smoke on the brisket was pretty aggressive, leaving ALMOST a bitter taste. Thankfully, I like a pretty aggressive smoke. Nice smoke flavor on the tri tip but also seemed to lack seasoning. Was otherwise pretty good. The sausage ended up tasting pretty good! The beans might have been ever so slightly undercooked, but otherwise tasted good. The mac and cheese says it is baked, but honestly, its hard to tell aside from the burnt cheese on top. Other than that, it was alright. The best part of the experience was the servers. They were super friendly and regularly checked on the guests. All in all, the food was just ok. Not sure it would be my first choice in eating spots in town though, especially considering the prices.

Now serving LOCAL Park Ranch Beef? SAY LESS and GIMME MORE!…read more Can't believe this is my first review of Walker Burger, as I've likely stopped here a dozen times over the years. A roadside burger, fresh and hot fries, and a rich creamy milkshake are a necessary part of every trip through the area, and whenever we're between here and Mammoth, Walker Burger is THE STOP. For starters, the vibes are just perfect. The wait in line is where it starts, as the sun is typically beating down as you wait to order in the dirt parking lot, making the shade from the narrow porch and the friendly hello from the order taker your first reward for being here. Usually I'm hungry from a busy morning of breaking down camp, and a 1/4lb Walker Burger with American cheese, fresh veggies and secret sauce on a fluffy fresh seeded soft bun always hits. Summer time usually has me ordering a fresh seasonal fruit shake (peach) but honestly every shake is fantastic and I also LOVE the coffee shakes, which are made with real coffee and coffee beans for extra punch. Fries are always hot and fresh, and best of all they come out crispy without asking for it! Service is always friendly and fun too. What makes this spot special is the garden dining. Picnic tables are scattered throughout a well shaded area offering travelers a cool and relaxing area to enjoy their food. We've definitely done this a few times, but typically take it to go and enjoy it (and the glorious mess) on the way home. Walker Burger is a MUST! Have you been?
