They have hot showers, outlets to plug in your blow dryer (it's cold, even in the summer, so air-drying hair may not be the best option), and clean restrooms on site. Our hosts; a farming family or more accurately the latest generation of a Cornish farming family. Our cottage was a cosy two storey three bedroom place, one downstairs bathroom (toilet, bath and shower in the bath) and two toilets one upstairs and as mentioned one in the bathroom downstairs. The family were welcoming and delivered Cornish clotted cream scones as an arrival gift, along with a few thoughtful basics to get us started. I can hear you ask and I can tell you that the jam was on the bottom with seriously good clotted cream atop and scrummy. There was a decent size well furnished living room space and a good size dining/kitchen area with a gas cooker (including gas oven) joy of joys. All mod cons in the place so no need to list. There's a separate building housing an indoor heated pool, an inside games room and a also a playground area for kids. One delight is that kids get a chance to feed two very plump, intelligent hairy New Zealand piggies and demented chickens. Yes chickens are always demented. Serious fun and the farmer hands out fresh eggs, not only are they tasty, the glee on the faces of the kids is priceless. Another good thing is that there's a mini shop on site with frozen meals available to microwave, curries and the like and top notch Cornish ice cream to buy. You pay by honesty box. All in all really great - cosy, relaxing and worth the about £900 for our week. One nuisance; the wifi was poor upstairs now before I get lectured about being on holidays when a demanding 5 year old arrives in at 5am Fireman Sam on the iPad can be a sleep saver. So there.
