Limited seating area outside, and the inside is just a walkway for you to order your food. You can see the spinning skewer of meat, as they freshly shave off some for each customer. I shared a single order with my fiance and WOW it was a lot of food!!! They really stack up your plate with a ton of meat, veggies and toppings! The flavors all melded together so well, and although we were eating for quite a while, it seemed like the food was never ending! I'm happy that's what it was like, as the food was delicious! If I had more stomach space, or if this was earlier in the day, I would have definitely loved my own order!

A lightly spicy red sauce, cool yogurt sauce on top. I enjoyed it. Nothing fancy inside, just tables and its open very late...the other thing is they serve this soup which I really don't know what it is, however I noticed people adding a red sauce to it, like as if it were something to spice it up. I noted that 14 people in the place were eating the soup and we were eating the kebab, the only ones....soup is on my list to try next time for sure. The Döners are loaded with spiced meat or chicken. The Döners can come as a sandwich or a teller(plate) or a box similar to Chinese take out boxes. The tzatziki is to die for. All the crisp vegetables are chopped daily. They have a great variety of food options including Turkish pizza, Currywurst and Pommes frites (French fries). If you like spicy, they have awesome banana peppers and spicy sauces. You can eat indoors and watch the magic happen as they skillfully craft your masterpiece. I usually come indoors to order and go outside to dine Al fresco. The drink selection is standard fare with Beer and Coca-Cola, Sprite , Orange Fanta, various canned ice teas. When I am in town Ratingen, this is my first destination. My German language skills are not so gut. The folks are extremely helpful and if you are observant you will plainly see that this little business is always rocking and rolling as many of the fancier places sit vacant. I highly recommend the Alanya Grill which is right down a little Straße from the Schüssel am Markt and the town water fountain.

The restaurant is clean and well lit inside. I was there on a Thursday night in January 2018. When I walked in I was greeted by a pleasant man behind the counter. I asked for a "Turkische Pizza mit salat und kalbfleish". After a short realization that I didn't speak very good German the gent asked if I wanted it for takeaway or to stay. Not in a hurry, I decided to have a seat. The seating is utilitarian but comfortable. I was able to watch the preparation of my meal. He took out a prepared Lahmachun (flat bread with red/meat sauce already applied) and folded it and put it in the flat sandwich iron to heat it up and cranked up the heat behind the beef skewer. It took about 7 mins all told from order to receipt of my foil wrapped pizza roll. I usually get it with all the 'fixins': red and white cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, garlic, and spicy sauce. The roll was nicely wrapped and very warm to the touch. The flat bread had that perfect chewy crunch with a slight char. Best flat bread I'd had in a while actually. The tangy and slightly sweet flavors from the condiments were perfectly proportionate to the savory flavor of the beef (kalbfleish). I rated this visit 5 stars because over all, it was really good. However, if Yelp would let me, a more accurate rating would be 4.75. The beef was not as charry as I would have liked. To me the best cut doner meat has a tender and juicy underside and a seared crunchy crust. As the beef was roasting I could see the chicken stick next to it getting what looked to be a perfect rotisserie crust. It would have been the perfect sample if the beef had the same treatment. Still, over all a fantastic experience for what it is. If I could, I'd rate it 4 3/4 stars. I will totally come here again if given the chance. Nice job "I love doner"!!!
