It's an average place. Not bad but nothing to brag about either. The indoor seating is small and stuffy. Outdoor seating area is small as well. Passing cars or possibly traffic is the view. read more

Everything look so good and fresh, and I loved that we could really try out a lot of different type of foods, as we did have some picky eaters with us! The waiter spoke English, and was very accommodating! The ambiance had a great casual feel. They helped us with the choices, which some foods were unusual to our friends. We would love to come back! 5 Stars

We were able to try various dishes thanks to the reasonable prices. Some of the employees speak English and were patient and kind when we asked questions. We sat indoors because the outdoor area is also the smoking area.

The Eski Koy Special Mixed Kebab is well worth it for two people and takes the decision-making out of the ordering process since it has a good assortment of everything. All the meats were phenomenal! They were tender, juicy, buttery, well-seasoned, charred, smoky, and mouthwatering. The grilled chicken wings blew me away while the adana kebab literally melted in my mouth. The lamb chops were so succulent and the chicken & beef skewers were perfectly cooked. I preferred this meal with white rice as opposed to their bulgur pilaf. Their white rice is buttery, pillowy, and so fragrant. I like that this special came with 2 types of mini lahmacun which was a nice change in texture and also very tasty! We ended with their Kunefe w Cream which was made very well. Being Middle Eastern myself, I love Kunefe and this one was done right! It's sweet but not overly sweet, hot and crispy on the outside, creamy and gooey on the inside. It was complimented by the Turkish Tea which was fragrant and soothing. This meal hit the spot!

With that said, you go to Zuma Bodrum for the vibes, views, and maybe a pretty drink. The food gets a 3/5 while the location and ambiance get a 5/5. I made a reservation for sunset/golden hour a few weeks in advance and I was beyond grateful and appreciative that we literally got the best table in the restaurant, closest to the water, the Zuma sign, and the stunning sunset! The cocktails were both delicious and I highly recommend the Lychee & Rose Petal Martini as it was tropical, light, and not overly sweet. The food is overpriced for what it is so just get what sounds good or have a light bite here. I will say my favorites were the Salmon Avocado Maki Roll and Semi Fatty Tuna Aburi Maki Roll. Zuma Bodrum truly embodies what summer on the Mediterranean feels like and despite the lackluster food, I highly recommend visiting this location for the most unbelievable sunset views.

Berk Bal?k is a little restaurant at the end. It's filled with locals, always a good sign, even when the restaurant next door is empty. It's got some of the best seafood I've ever had. Very friendly service: they had a good-natured laugh with us about our attempts at Turkish, but it endeared them enough that we got greeted with an all-staff cheer and special service the next night. The food is mostly reasonably priced but certainly all delicious. Largely seafood - go pick your fish from the display - but a few other options as well. The calamari and cuttlefish were both great. We ate there both nights we were in Bodrum. There are some seats indoors upstairs, but it's best to sit outside where an enclosed area holds a dozen or so tables.
