Awful experience . I first went here for Lazer treatment to my face. My first service was ultherapy. Two days after treatment I had painful red lumps on my jaw and cheeks which resolved in a week. I was told by the technician that was a good sign and should have good results. Two weeks later I returned and started receiving IPL to remove signs of skin damage from my face and decolletage area. I received 3 treatments one month apart. On my third treatment the technician lasered random areas on my shoulders, upper back, legs and arms. I have since returned and had 3 more treatments. I look like a freak. When I talked to the laser tech he said it will take a couple more treatments to even out my skin tone and in the interim a spray tan is always an option. The tech that performed this service reassures me that it will only take a "few more sessions" to even this out. I am unable to receive more treatment for the next 5 months. I have been a client of Body Beautiful since 2015. I enjoy the atmosphere and the convenience of being able to get all of my treatments in one place. April, is my "go-to" laser technician. She is extremely knowledgeable of all the procedures that are performed at Body Beautiful. Her warm and caring personality makes my experience that much better! My whole goal was to not have to worry about shaving my body or having to wear makeup and by me making the decision to invest in laser treatments at Body Beautiful for myself, l made that goal and dream a reality. I started getting my Botox done here a few years ago... So I thought it was time to review them. They save me a ton of money going here over skin center... And I've never had any issues with my injections. I prefer Botox over dysport (as I don't think the dysport works for me any longer) **update- as they're growing and expanding their menu of services.. They're not treating their clients as well. I missed an appointment and was charged $49. They didn't have Botox at my last appt.. So I was stuck with dysport. They can save you money but I haven't been as happy lately. read more

I am not basing this review on my visit to Body Beautiful, rather I am basing it on a few phone calls that I had there inquiring about laser tattoo removal. Be forewarned- these people have no business doing such a procedure! Upon calling a few times as I was trying to find out more info and hoping I got to speak to someone more knowledgeable the second time, I realized these people simply make up things and say whatever they feel like whether or not it is or is not accurate. Having had several treatments in the past elsewhere, I understand the procedure and know what to expect (I also managed a facility like this back in Ohio which did tattoo removal so I am more knowledgeable than they realized). I was quoted the most ridiculous price ever for 3 tattoos (meaning it was too cheap for it to even be an effective/treatment). When asked about the laser they use, I could not get a straight answer. When asked about the success of their treatments, I also could not get a straight answer. My whole phone experience made me ask one simple question: why would I want to trust these people with my body in any way, shape or form? My answer: I simply wouldn't! read more

If you're looking for a competent place for a tattoo removal LOOK ELSEWHERE! Red flag #1...if multiple "experts" can't give you accurate information on what lasers they use and have in each office and give you the correct treatment requested. Attached are messages with a manager. Read the messages for yourself and decide if you had an issue with this company during treatment if it sounds like they'd take the time to resolve your concerns. After requesting answers to so much conflicting information, she said that she took me off their schedule and to seek treatment somewhere else. Obviously she knew that when I would visit next, I'd find out more inaccurate information. She provided me with yet MORE conflicting information and claimed that I had red looking hair from my Fb pictures and that might be why the "Novocain" didn't work the first time but worked the next. I'm NO where near a red head so this makes me laugh, but nothing else about the experience is funny. It's actually quite alarming. I wish that I had all of these conversations in writing for proof of the conflicting info that I was given, but I don't so of course their response will be one of no accountability, as they've done so far. #1 I picked a business based on the fact that they use the gold standard laser is tattoo removal, but the laser that was used was not PicoSure. I asked in office the first appt if it was Picosure and she told me yes and then I called the main number on the website after the appt (because the tech did mention the offices have different machines) and was reassured it was Picosure and that although it looked old it was updated with the latest software and inspected. That's true I'm sure, but I wanted the treatment that they call on their website the "premium tattoo removal, PicoSure"I mentioned this price chart to the tech and she tried to pull it up on her phone because she wasn't familiar with what I was talking about and then said the website must not be updated. That the chart must be old because it's all the same. The chart has different prices for standard and premium tattoo removal. On my 2nd appt, a different tech starts treatment and I decided to ask this new person what laser this was. She said oh no this is Q-switch, but if you want Picosure then you have to go to the cranberry office". (See attached convo for yet another claim by a manager who states a different situation with what laser is where) #2 The first time that I was numbed it didn't work. I paid $25 to have like 10 painful injections for no relief. I couldn't help but be vocal about that fact that it wasn't numb so they were aware. At the 2nd appt, the numbing worked! Huge difference! I told the nurse that the last time she numbed me that it didn't work and she asked if it was at the Cranberry office (it wasn't) because there was a day that the same bottle of lidocaine for several patients that all complained it didn't numb them. So I knew this wasn't just a freak thing that happened to only me. Also questioning why she kept using that bottle after the first complaint. I called the main number after my appt and twice this lady said that she wished that I would of said something that day because the nurse could have added more (painful) injections to numb it more or that they wouldn't had charged me. I told her that it was my first treatment so part of me wondered if that's just how it worked and also they were well aware of the pain and lack of numbness. Now that I know the difference I spoke up. She was very nice overall and credited the account $25 (which I will never see since the manager cancelled my appt) Never any apologies or accountability, but friendly. Then the manager suggest it's my red hair that's actually light brown. Again, no accountability. It must be me. She also claimed this has "never happened" to anyone else even though I just told her that her RN told me otherwise. Weird to know info about their patients that a manager does not know. They claim that this is the best way to do it with Q-switch first yet don't have this info described anywhere on their website as the best way to treat a tattoo removal or inform me of this before treatment nor can I find anything about that method of treatment on dermatology websites or anywhere about the subject. I'd love to hear from a PicoSure and Q-switch representative and find out their option on the matter! Bottom line, I requested the most advanced laser treatment they advertise on their site and they mislead me to believe I was getting it and continuously provided inaccurate and conflicting information. read more

I had an acceptable experience for my first appointment for tattoo removal. The employee was professional, although curt. My results were as expected and the price I received for my next treatment, which was discussed as being a multiple-pass, was reasonable. When I went for my next treatment, I had decided against the multiple pass and let the employee and manager know so I wouldn't be charged the higher rate ($50 more). The manager instantly started hunting for my record to look up my original quote, which didn't have many notes on it to indicate the multiple quotes I was given based on different options, and tried to bully me into agreeing that I was in the wrong, and that my single-pass treatment would be more than I was even quoted for the multiple-pass. At this point I started to second guess myself and decided to just go ahead, because maybe I had been mistaken. (Spoiler alert: I hadn't been, I later found the handwritten quote from my first appointment -- it was for $65 less than the manager claimed.) The employee seemed afraid of his manager and came back into the treatment room apologising for his boss's attitude. I had already scheduled another appointment, so I decided to go and see if I could get a different employee to help. I started to have some reservations, because the laser was malfunctioning and had to be hastily replaced right in front of me (after being smacked a few times, opened up, and tossled around). Neither machine looked very new. I found out shortly after that this employee had either been fired or quit. When I arrived at the appointment, I explained to the new employee what had happened with pricing. She was empathetic and seemed to agree that I had been charged the wrong price and agreed to lower the charge for me. Unfortunately, the machine was entirely broken and I wasn't able to get service, so I had to reschedule. When I finally arrived for my third appointment, everything seemed okay -- the laser was firing much slower than at my previous appointments, so it took longer and was much more painful, but the end result was the same. When it came time to pay, the office manager made things very uncomfortable. I felt so bad for the employee that I agreed to come in again, against better judgement. After all, I was seeing slight results. At this last appointment, I found out that the employee had gotten reprimanded for lowering my price and could not offer the same pricing. While I don't have any negative feelings towards this employee and felt she handled things very professionally, I feel the manager should have contacted me to let me know in advance what I would be paying. Instead, I found out in the middle of my session and was obligated to pay the higher rate or risk getting this employee into hot water again. My results were as expected early on, but at each subsequent appointment, the machines were shown to be unreliable and not functioning at maximum potential. I recently went for a consultation and appointment at a competitor and was much happier with the location, professionalism, and quality of service. The machines don't breakdown and are clearly brand new, and my result after just one appointment was so much more drastic than anything with Body Beautiful. They also provide pain relief and it cut my pain rating to about half of what it was. My advice in a word? AVOID. These offices are in shady buildings or other businesses and the whole set-up just seems sketchy. Add that to a foul-tempered manager and bad equipment, and I feel like I threw money away. read more

I thought I had written a review for this business. I had purchased a LivingSocial deal for microdermabrasion here last year. Redeeming was easy, I had no problem getting an appointment to fit my schedule. I arrived and was instantly confused. They share office space with another business. So, I wasn't sure who was with Body Beautiful and who wanted to examine my feet. Anyway, I filled out the necessary paperwork. And was greeted by Beth who were going to perform my service. I was very surprised about how thorough she was. She did an incredible job. Also, I didn't even notice, but my voucher included complimentary laser hair removal. I was a little worried that this might hurt. Or burn me. But it was actually quite pleasant. I hardly felt a thing. Then, she gave me an incredible face massage and also massaged my arms and shoulders. I felt incredibly relaxed and pampered. It was wonderful. I went and got an acne skin treatment with their palomar machine and they burnt my face!!!!!!!! I went to the cranberry location and their machine broke. Thay should have been my warning sign!!! I came in for Picosure tattoo removal and while I'm only a couple days past treatment, I feel like it is much more effective than the laser(q-switch?) at Disappearing ink on Butler Street. The people at Body Beautiful were super nice and gave me a huge discount to laser my scars and has improved them a ton - I'll never be real pretty again but it was nice to see them start to fade. That was 5 months ago and I'm still happy. So I got a laser tattoo removal two weeks ago and it looks fantastic too. I can barely see a shadow of the tat and if you didn't know it was there, you would never notice it. I'll probably go back and get the last little bit done so my kids never see it. read more

I have offered no solution and the Manager told me that I have signed the document where anything can happened to my skin permanently. It can be a little confusing to find if you're visiting their downtown Pittsburgh location, so a few extra minutes to find the correct place should be allotted for on your first visit in. When I called with questions a few months ago about what could possibly be going on, the manager spoke to me very condescendingly. He was instantly on the defensive, rude and hostile while trying to place the blame on my end even though I had zero hostility or anger when calling which I explained to him. Save your money and don't buy their groupons. Their laser hair removal is not effective. I bought a Groupon offer and had 3 underarm sessions and very minimal results. I was told I need 6-12 sessions complete removal. Also, be careful, if you miss an appointment and don't contact them 24h in advance, they will ask you to pay a $49 fee to reactivate the offer, otherwise you miss the session. Go to a doctor's office instead, to someone who uses the Alexandrite laser. I saw almost full reduction just with a single session. It is a lot more expensive at first glimpse, but in the end of the day you'll end up paying a lot more with repeated IPL sessions to achieve complete removal. read more

I had a great experience at Body Beautiful! I went in for microdermabrasion but the technician gave me a consultation before and suggested I try a photofacial, which will help more with redness and acne for fair skin. The procedure went well and was pretty fast. Almost all of the my redness and acne is gone! The technician also personally followed up with my within a few days to see how my face was feeling and to see if I like the results. Incredibly professional and the nicest people you will ever meet. I originally went to the main location in Cranberry after buying a groupon for toenail fungus removal. They use a laser to focus energy on fungus to help kill it. They also include a very good topical ointment and gave detailed instructions on other things I can do to help the removal go quicker. The treatment was quick and not too painful (feels like a rubber band slapping off the skin) After 3 treatments my feet look better than they have in years and the fungus is almost completely gone! I have also had several teeth whitenings at the monroeville location and notice an improvement with each treatment. read more

I didn't care for the way I was treated by the technician this go round though -- 15-20 minutes late for the appointment, too busy texting and on her phone to listen to my skin concerns.
