She kept her composure during my multiple measurements and assessments, as well as through the prolonged testing of about 4 or 5 pairs across multiple sizes, with various configurations of two kinds of supports by strength, including multiple ones per size. I finally chose one pair of comfortable shoes, minus any inserts (I apparently needed them at "quarter strength", but it didn't exist). The shop could have used more soundproofing for one sale associate's loud voice as he was attending another customer. The thin-walled cubicle-like sections for measurements aren't sufficient to block out noise. The sales associate did turn off the TV noise at my request, though. It's unfortunate that this place was recommended to me as if it were a shoe store by another shoe store earlier in my attempt to find good shoes, but it's ultimately more of an orthotics store, with a very limited shoe selection. I would have preferred a different color for the shoes I got. I'm also concerned about the other, recent reviews about the overpriced orthotics - I didn't see them before I went there. I suppose it's for the best I didn't buy the orthotics, then.

Dr. Nussbaum is a very knowledgeable and skilled surgeon. I had two procedures on my foot done by Dr. Nussbaum, and I am convinced that I was in good hands! Now I can resume my hiking worry-free. Staffs working with Dr. Nussbaum are also very nice and friendly, making me feel comfortable each time when I was there. Thank you! I met with Dr. Parker who thoroughly examined my toe and scheduled 3 laser treatments with Jackie. She is a saint, she cuts your nails, treats them with an anti fungal and then uses the laser treatment, my nail was 100% back to normal within 3-4 months. I cannot recommend Dr. Parker and Jackie highly enough, they saved me! My son also had a toe issue with his toenail and Dr. Parker had him straightened out withing a month. I will not go anywhere else for podiatry care. I cannot express how wonderful Dr. Parker and Jackie are.

Not the most flattering nickname, since The Penguin was played by Danny DeVito. Luckily, I'm not yet short, fat, and bald. Over Christmas, I talked to my father about my issues, and because I'm going on an 800+ mile hike in August, recommended I see a foot specialist. Not knowing much, I went to Tanglewood Foot Specialists based on the recommendation of my wife's boss. I know, not as good as yelp, but it'll do. I'm glad I went. Tanglewood Foot Specialists is basically Dr. Schneider, his assistant, and a receptionist. Its located outside of 610 but still within beltway 8. The first visit, they penciled me in at 11:00, so that I could go over my lunch break. After watching me walk and looking at my feet for a bit, Dr. Schneider concluded that I needed orthotics. What followed was about as high-tech an experience as i have had at a medical facility. Well, not really, but still. I got to walk on a pad that measured how my weight transferred along my foot for each step (among other measurements). Cool right? Fast forward to today. The orthotics are magical. I no longer have foot pain and my gait is much improved. I can walk with my feet straight. The only markdown is that I had a hard time finding out exactly how much things cost (luckily insurance picked up most of it). With the uncertainty as to whether insurance would cover it or not, it would've been nice to know up front that each orthotic cost $300. Other than that, I couldn't be happier.

I saw Dr. Schneider on January 8, 2026, as I had severe pain in my right foot, down the 5th…read moremetatarsal bone. He looked at my foot (did not do an x-ray) said it was a tendon problem and gave me a cortisone shot which did not help. MRI showed that the 5th metatarsal bone was under stress. He prescribed a cortisone pack and gave me a large boot and said to wear it for a week. I asked him if I should pack the boot he said there was no need as he didn't expect any more problems with the foot. I left on my overseas trip on February 15th and on February 19th my foot was quite swollen. I sent a picture to him and he said "The swelling doesn't look anywhere close to the stress reaction." I saw my PCP on March 2nd when i returned and the xray showed a fracture of the 5th metatarsal bone. Dr. Schneider dropped the ball not once (did not do an initial xray) but twice (said the swelling was not related to the stress) when in fact, it was fractured. I have moved my care to an Orthopedist.
