We were told it should not be a problem on a Tuesday night & were excited! Joann was so friendly when we checked in. She went over the box & the WOD with us, reassuring us we can scale as needed. She was so friendly & nice. The WOD was intense, but we needed it after eating out for almost a week. I had so much energy after & know I will be sleeping incredibly well! Everyone taking the class was also so nice & friendly! Thank you again!

Trainers are great there and really push you too your limit. My only downfall with this place is the price, it seems to have slipped their minds that we are in a recession with prices increased in the last two years by i think around 10 to 20 euros (Don't quote me on the amount). In saying that I would still recommend it to anyone that wanted to loose weight or just wanted to increase fitness levels, it will work!!!

It also opens at 5am which is super hard to find around here. There are roughly 5 racks and a bench, I think one was a smithy, plenty of machines/dumbbells, and a wide matted area. Also surprisingly lots of leg press machines. Only $15 euro a day. You have to make an account in their app for day passes, or if the owner is there getting in his lift, you can instead tap pay him.

We took a private taxi tour and asked them to take us to Killarney for the one hour hawk walk. This was all planned ahead. These hawk walks are by appointment only. The location where this is done is on a farm or wooded area. Our taxi driver was luckily familiar with the area so it wasn't much trouble for us to find. However, we were emailed specific directions to the site if we had drove. If you are coming from the port Cobh, it's about an hour and 15 minute to hour and a half drive. It's definitely worth it!! The price ranges per person or group of people. Communication via email was great from prior leading up to the day of. John, our falconer drove up in his van with three feathered friends. Two owls- Rocco, a barn owl and Riley, a tawny owl and a Harris Hawk, named Tex. As we walked through a wooded area John proceeded to educate us on the Harris Hawk and how they are trained, but not tamed. They are free to fly away as they wish. However, to train them you get the hawk to a certain weight where they are hungry enough to come to you for food. They are not starved and In fact they are very capable of still hunting on their own. In fact, Tex was scouting out the land when we were doing the hawk walk and was ignoring us a little. Haha.. The hawks are not harmed when trained, it takes a lot of trust for you to train them, and when you train them in numbers or together with family they are more apt to train. For the hour we had the Harris hawk, Tex flew to our glove several times taking turns. John even has one set up to take a cool slow mo of the Harris hawk flying over your head!! There are plenty of photo ops and John gladly takes them for you. At the end we got to hold and pet the tawny and barn owl. These are all such lovely birds and it was truly an awesome Experience!! I learned so much! Forewarning, you are feeding the hawk either a rabbit or a chick. I didn't realize it until later. But if you think about it, those are quarry. John was great and I'm sure he got way too many laughs from mine and my sister's ridiculous comments!! I highly recommend this company! You won't be disappointed!! I recommend wearing long sleeves and pants and sneakers since you're in the woods.

I have only done a few rides in my life (with a few lessons…read morewhen I was younger) so here's an honest list (take with a grain of salt): Pros: The women guides/staff who rode with us were very adept at picking just the right horses for our skills/experience and heights. No stirrup changes needed. Good instruction on guiding the English-style ride. They were very clear when we were about to trot and gave us clear instructions on how to hold on. The horses were very chill, had great and unique personalities. The views were amazing. The staff were good on the ride about checking our horses' behavior, and the staff made sure to get our phone to take pictures of us while riding, which was awesome for our memory book. Cons: The instructions when you arrive are not super clear. Who needs boots and why? One tiny sign, which we missed. The helmets are safe-looking (not falling apart) but are quite disgusting... they're "sanitized" after each ride but smell of old sweat... my forehead/hair still reeks, several hours later Perhaps because the horses are inside, everything is inside, the horses are very smelly. They were quite visibly dirty (not just recently-muddy-due-to-rain). And, again, I can still smell them strongly on my clothes, several hours later. Maybe that's "normal" but I've never had it happen on other rides in my past experience. So -- overall we really enjoyed ourselves, but the experience had some odd elements. Forewarned is forearmed: Bring something to wear under the helmet (that you can wash!?) and perhaps a change of clothes for the drive home. Then enjoy!
