You really get a lot for the price, and the shrimp were HUGE. The sauce was packed with flavor -- the perfect balance of spice, butter, and seasoning. Simple, messy, and absolutely delicious. Service was also great. There was only one server working, but he stayed on top of everything and made sure everyone was taken care of. The place itself is a little small, but it actually made the experience feel more cozy, and we got seated right away since it wasn't too busy. This place is so refreshing compared to your niche kicking crab or boiling crab. We mixed our own bag with the daddy sauce. With the amount of garlic they put in the sauce it's so well balanced that I couldn't even tell garlic was in there! We got the omg level spicy & it hits you in the back vs the front. Doesn't linger too long & gets you coming back for more. I love that the food came in a party tray and not in a bag. Instead of egg noodle for garlic noodles they used linguine. Soooooooo goood! With that being said, I frequent seafood boils like Boiling Crab, Kickin' Crab, Hot N Juicy, etc. This spot is definitely a hidden gem, and lowkey want to gatekeep it because I want to be able to get a table still! Food: You can do half pounds here! So if you're ballin' on a budget (like me) and want to try a little of everything, you can! I usually get a half pound of shrimp and a half pound of either clams or mussels, sometimes I get corn, eggs, or potatoes. Eggs in a seafood boil is slept on, definitely recommend! The shrimp is super big and plump so it's worth what you're paying for it. And can't go wrong with mussels or clams (if that's what you like). - The food is served in a tray, not a bag like other seafood boil places, but it makes sauce easier to get to! Sauce: I usually get the Daddy Sauce (mix of Cajun & Garlic Butter), basically their house sauce...the sauce is sweet and has a lot of garlic, love! and for spice level I get Medium or OMG! While the customer service was a bit strained and the food was a little bland, I have to give credit where it's due--he was wearing multiple hats and doing his best to keep the doors open. The facility was clean, and the other guests made for a great atmosphere. I suspect the lack of seasoning was simply a result of the staff being spread too thin. Was craving seafood boil, checked out Yelp, drove here swayed by the 5 star reviews. Diego welcomed us and explained the menu and their difference with Boiling Crab. He recommended the "Seaman's Catch" for $82 which consists of 2 snow crab clusters, a lb of shrimp, 2 corns, 5 potatoes, 5 sausages and 2 drinks! Love their sweet tea! We picked mild Daddy Sauce and it was perfect. Calamari was our appetizer which came out fast and piping hot. Husband ordered rice for the crab and it was a generous serving. Both crab and shrimps were fresh and juicy. If you like Boiling Crab's sha-bang sauce, you will enjoy their Daddy Sauce version. There was a stream of to-go orders and pick-ups. Wish there was a sign that told us that ahead of time. I only tried their shrimp this time. Located in the same plaza as Popeyes. The parking lot is small. There are only 6 tables available when I went so I would say it's a small restaurant. They surprisingly didn't have Cajun fries. I paid the extra to upgrade to daddy fries but it was pretty much their sauce on top of the fries, which made my fries soggy after a while. The daddy wings is pretty much the same thing, fried wings with the Cajun sauce on top. Of course it's soft opening so they were working out some kinks. Ambiance - the inside is pretty small and parking is also a bit difficult since it's a small plaza Food - They steam their crawfish so the meat is very bland and the only flavor you get is from dipping it in the sauce. Also, their crawfish is frozen yet more expensive than the live crawfish at Boiling Crab.....not sure why they choose not to use live crawfish during crawfish season (although it is a franchise so they probably do not have control over that decision). We did not try the shrimp so not sure if it's better here compared to Boiling Crab. The sauce itself is on the sweeter side, but it paired very well with the andouille sausage. The sausage was probably my favorite out of everything we ordered. The cajun fries were okay -- the fries are on the thicker side but I prefer a thinner fry. The garlic toast looked similar to the frozen ones that you buy at the store. Service - Everyone is so nice! However, our waitress Lily was the only server and it looked like she had to handle almost everything herself (bussing tables, taking orders, bringing food out, paying customers out). Was disappointed to see the manager not really help out except to write down names and bring people to their table. When we were ready to order, the manager had us wait for Lily to take our order even though Lily was helping another table and the manager wasn't doing anything else. Despite how busy it was, Lily delivered exceptional service; she remained calm and was so kind to every table that she spoke with! We tried Boil Daddy on a weekday for dinner. We tried the Loaded Bayou Fries, the fish basket, and the 1/2 lb head of shrimp with a medium boil daddy sauce on the side. The customer service was okay, maybe since it was a weekday, everything moved a bit slower, it took some time for us to get our water, and we were told to pick up our own menu on our way to the table. The loaded Bayou Fries were the best dish we had, the portion was huge, and it tasted really great! It was definitely loaded with flavors. The fish basket was okay, the fries of course were in no comparison to the loaded one, and the fish pieces were dry and rubbery, wasn't really a fan of it. The shrimp was cooked well and it was very meat-y. I was also not a fan on the sauce, it lacked garlic and heat.
