This is a fun place with great drinks and food. They have a cocktail menu, full bar and serve food. We came for dinner and drinks. The grilled chicken tenders with house made vinegar kettle chips were so good. The smash burger was also a winner. We came on open mic poetry night. This was fun and unexpected. They are dog friendly with a huge outdoor sitting area. They have live music some nights. This is a fun place to eat, drink or just hang out. Great location in Haney Corner. read more

The menu is awful. The chicken tenders were overcooked and the nachos were soggy. They pre-authorized my debit card for $72. Then they ran it for $101. The bank is now holding $173 for soggy nachos, and the owner knew this was going to happen. She said it happens all the time and the bank says its her fault and she says its their fault; even after she told me she could see in the system where they ran it twice. I don't care who you blame it on, $173 for a terrible appetizer and a couple of drinks is just stupid. But the good news is, if I wait 10 days, their bank will give me a $72 "rebate" when they return my money. read more

My husband and long time friend who are both men of color went to Bokeh Lounge on Thursday September 29th. They immediately took their cover charge $5.00 each but could not get waited on. Two employees walked by them twice at separate times and told them they would have someone wait on them but no-one ever came. My husband and I have been there before and I am white and we had no trouble getting service. The two gentlemen walked over to Walton's and were treated with utmost respect and kindness and had great service. Will NEVER go back to Bokeh Lounge again! read more

This is a two in one review. We went here on first Friday in July. Had a fantastic time on the patio. Great service, food was good and everything went well. A lot of food being delivered wasn't quite going to the right place but when your server was bringing it there weren't issues. I would've for sure given this review four stars if we would not have gone back on Wednesday (07/07/21). We wanted to take a friend because we had a pretty good time before. What a DISAPPOINTMENT! We couldn't get anyone to wait on us. We sat for over twenty minutes. There were three tables other than ours and multiple empty tables outside. We went to the bar and still couldn't get service. Finally went back up to the bar and managed to get the bartender. She was going to send the server over. We waited and waited for him. When he finally did come over he never came back. Our drinks sat for so long the ice had started to melt. We could see them sitting at the bar-where people were sitting. He brought them when our food was up. We couldn't get our check. We waited forever for it. Had to ask for it. Such an awful experience. We will not be back here again. Not first Friday or any other day. Yikes. read more

Great spot for music. Wish the food wasn't overpriced and they brought back their $5 food menu. Also, wish they would swap up food menu and bring in a chef that does more than what they do. They need some lower priced apps for little bites that don't start at $6 just for chips and queso. They would have more people eat here if they made those changes. I went for the first time this past weekend . First, I ordered a margarita which wasn't that great. Next, I ordered the liquid marijuana. It was fruity and good. I enjoyed the live band and the DJ they had for the night. The only downer was the food. I ordered the loaded fries thinking it would be hard for the kitchen staff to mess up this order and that it shouldn't take too long. I was wrong. I approximately waited 15-20 minutes to be served unloaded fries. It was just yellow canned cheese sauce dumped over fries with green onions and a pinch of bacon bits. Bokeh has definitely gone through some changes. Some good some bad. Good: Larger and more accommodating. More restrooms. More everything and cool atmosphere. Bad: It's basically become another loud band bar. Once the band starts forget hearing a conversation. I fear for the future of this place. I've seen so many loud band bars come and go in this town. We had tickets to see a show. Our tickets only listed one band. My husband noticed on the band's website that the band wouldn't start until 9:30. Our tickets said 7:00 so we were going to meet someone at 5:30 there. When I called Bokeh Lounge to check on what time to arrive for dinner, I was asked if we had a reserved table. Nowhere on their website or our ticket said anything about reserving a table. We decided to eat at another restaurant in the area. We had an amazing dinner elsewhere then we thought we would arrive around 9:00 for the show. We have our tickets to the doorman who stamped our hands. The place was packed with people. There were tables taking up most of the floor space. There was no place for us to sit or stand for the show. Servers went around us and bumped into us but they never asked us if we wanted a drink. The place was so overcrowded that we left after one song. I do not recommend this place to anyone. No service, no place to sit or stand even though we had paid for our tickets. Newly freshened up. Now with kitchen. Staff very friendly. Fish and Chips were very salty. Slaw was about the worst I've had anywhere. Not certain they have their groove on yet with the kitchen. We came in last night to catch live music, which was great! The bartender is fantastic with her specialty drinks. We tried 5 different ones and they were all perfect. The food sounded good so now we came back the next day to get lunch and the food is amazing!!! I heard they had a new owner and she is doing a great job. Extremely disappointed to say the least. Service extremely extremely slow. We came in to eat. Was surprised they took payment at the time they took the order (sit down/dine in dinner). Appetizers came out with the meal which took about 50+ minutes to get. It took 20 minutes to get our soda drinks. Food was not very good. We had fried mushrooms and fried pickles as appetizers and super greasy! Sandwiches not good. Unfortunately this will be the first and last visit for us. I would not recommend for meals. I love the Bokeh Lounge. I order the fried cheese balls and they are awesome! It's just fried mozzarella but it's the bomb. Their drinks vary. It depends on who makes them, but they're pretty good most of the time. And if you get the chance to go when there is live music, DO IT! I love seeing local bands perform. Went Saturday night to see the band. I have to agree with the reviews about poor table service. Our server only checked with our table twice in 2.5 hours. We had to wave her down to get refills several times, or go to the bar. Then, later in the evening, she informed us she was leaving and asked us to close out our tab and start a new one. We closed the tab and left the lounge. We had appetizers - they were really good. Both draft and bottled beers could have been colder. The band was really loud, too loud in my opinion. The Bokeh Lounge has great atmosphere and is a vital component to the Arts District. They need to focus on customer service, if they want to improve and gain the business they need. read more
