As long as you know what this is, you will be fine! It's an adventure park type setup with varying levels of access based on how much you want to spend. They don't take cash so plan ahead (they do have e a machine that will convert your cash to a card if you need). We got the basic package (blue) for my ten year old and 13 of his friends for a birthday. We only stayed about 2 hours and for the blue pass that seemed like plenty. The kids got to do bumper cars, the battle area (like laser tag but with foam balls), the slides, the ball pit, the jumping area, and a few others I'm sure I'm forgetting. All in all the spot is clean, staffed well and a fun kids entertainment spot. We didn't do the zip lining or ropes courses but we didn't feel like we missed out on anything either. read more

Spacious and lots of fun things to do inside! I will reccomend to go during nicer weather days as theres no real AC (just a bunch of fans) inside so it gets quite hot inside. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes especially if you plan on doing the ropes course. I went during a pretty busy time but with kids in school now it may be a little slower. Even though it was busy, it was too difficult to ride the slides and do the ropes course. I highly recommend to do a ropes course, mountaineering, and or the free fall experience if you aren't afraid of heights. It was a lot of fun and probably the best thing to do there. Everything felt safe and secure and the rope for the rock climbing and free falling does have a safety so you don't just fall down super fast but slowly so you don't get hurt. Next time I would probably go during cooler weather since you do sweat quite a bit with all the activities. Fun for both kids and adults! read more

Overall the space is pretty big, but in the middle of summer it was pretty hot inside. The ropes course/zip line was pretty fun! I liked that you had the option to stop/leave after certain points/difficulties if you were too tired. The most difficult level of the ropes course was pretty high and challenging! Everything on the lower half was included: Bumper cars, these like mile long tubing slides, inflatable jump pad, this McDonalds play area on steroids (where my daughter spent most of her time) just overall a really cool place. When you bring 102 people in school buses and they don't let the drivers participate unless they pay for it that should be a red flag for anybody that wants to bring a group of kids to this location they really should be allowing the bus drivers to sign the waiver and participate without having to pay. First off, it's pretty expensive. Second of all, I thought it was well worth it. We paid $75 (for two people) for the mountain experience which got us up two routes around the mountain, a whole pizza (pretty tasty), and two pints of beer. We added on $40 to do the ropes course. This would be a cute date night. We were there on a Saturday evening and it was almost empty. We got to enjoy the mountain at a leisurely pace. It took us about 30 minutes to finish the first climb and 45 minutes to complete the second climb since we had to wait for people and only one person can climb over ropes or down ladders at a time. The ropes course was fun and a bit challenging. The best parts were the ziplines because they were pretty fast. We also took advantage of the climbing nets, slides, ball blaster, tubes, rock climbing walls (super difficult), and resting areas. I did grab me a cup of Skittles on the way out for $5. They also have arcades and a gift shop/prize desk. They expect you to take everything out of your pockets. There are lockers you can rent for $6 which you can lock/unlock at anytime during your allotted time. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and sneakers. This place exceeded my expectations. This is a fun place to see if your family has what it takes to be adventurous. The employees were all nice, definitely looks like a fun place to work. The price point is decent considering we're from the Silicon Valley. $55 for the black diamond experience. The obstacle course takes about 1:20 minute depending on how quickly the people ahead of you are. The large tubing slide is a LOT more intimidating than you expect lol it also helps that the staff is considerate with the younger ones & don't push you as fast as a normal adult would need. The food court has many options with theme park prices. Service on that end was a LOT slower than expected but I have to keep in mind, we came on a week day (monday) so staffing may be a lot lower than any other date. My daughter's favorite was the mining experience. There's a built water way, you can purchase a bag at the gift shop, then you sift the bags in the water and can find crystals and/or fossils. Had a fun time, but got tired after rock climbing and going through the rope course! There are three levels of the rope course to include zip line. It takes about an hour to complete all three, depending if you go on the weekend or weekday. Be prepared to wait about five to ten minutes for your turn. Clean bathroom, but no soap available. This adventure is primarily for kids, do not expect to have a blast as an adult. There are separate add-ons, which needs to be included with the black diamond pass, such as archery and free fall. The magnetic latch lock handles for the rope adventures need to be upgraded or replaced. The pair I received were finicky. There were times when the latch would not unlock after running it through the built-in magnetic system that is at the end of each rope. There is a button located in the crevice of the magnetic latch lock handle, but the safety employees and I still had difficulty unlocking the latch. It is definitely a safety hazard. Tickets are non refundable and you cannot come in and out of the building as you please (according to signs). You will need to purchase socks if you want to use the jump pad. Plenty of parking. All participants need to sign a waiver prior to purchasing tickets. Customer service was good, the girl behind the counter was helpful and answered all of my questions. Overall workers were nice, but felt rushed during the explanation of how the harness and cable safety features work. read more

My kids and I count that of the 50 or so games in the facility, 19 were broken. I'm glad that they take good care to keep the climbing portions safe, but it seems like they just haven't given the kind of care to the arcade. Here for team building with a property management company This is quite possibly the most miserable place I've ever been to. It's hot as hell. Inside. They made us sit on a tall platform inside (hot air rises) with very inadequate air conditioning. To feed us burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, and pizza. Oh, and burnt Texas toast. That they brought up two at a time. A trickle of food that seemed to be prepared in one Easy Bake Oven for at least 120 people. Not enough chairs for everyone. I waited feeling the sweat pooling everywhere for an HOUR AND A HALF. At 2:00 I gave up and just grabbed a Diet Coke and I sat in front of a fan downstairs. I wondered HOW COULD THEY HAVE MESSED THIS UP SO BADLY? Surely this was NOT the first time holding an event! I hope they refund at least part of what was paid. I am suffering from a heat headache. 1-Star Review: Absolutely Horrible Customer Service My experience at Bolder Adventure Park was nothing short of infuriating. I was literally argued with over a $4 difference between buying tickets online vs. onsite. When I asked to speak with a manager to address this as a basic customer service issue, I was met with complete disregard. The manager on duty, Kel, flat-out refused to honor the online price -- a baffling decision considering it was just a few dollars. Apparently, retaining future business means nothing to this place. After the transaction was completed, they couldn't even print my receipt (which took an unreasonably long 20+ minutes) -- conveniently, only after I mentioned I was going to file a complaint and needed proof of purchase. They still did not give me my receipt and said they needed to talk to their IT department. The whole process was painfully disorganized and unprofessional. This park clearly values policy over people, and employs managers who seem more interested in "winning" arguments than resolving concerns. I won't be returning, and I'll make sure others know how poorly this place treats paying customers. Side note they charged me for three adults for non participant fees and another party that came with us did not get charged for the adults not participating in their group. read more

Bolder Adventure Park at Epic Central is a great family fun indoor themed park that has many entertainment options for you do such as synthetic ice skating, rock climbing, zip line, and has a arcade with many more things. It was also created by the one and only YouTube famous Unspeakable! We came through on a weekday right before noon, and the place appeared to be crowded but wasn't really due to its large size. We were told to fill out waivers first on the tablets provided, but the connection wasn't working, so we ended up filling out paper sheets. There are many different color coded wrist bands to choose from depending on the level of play you would like to choose. There is a height chart on some where the applicants must be 48 or 54 inches to play. We went ahead and got the blue wristbands that came with the majority of the items listed, such as the climbing, tree house, and synthetic skating. The skating was fun, and getting the skates was as easy as it could be. The kids also had a great time in the tree house, where they released tons of energy climbing up and down. They even had 4 large slides with tubes that were enjoyable for all ages and grownups as well. The staff did an excellent job in training the zip liners in feeling confident to complete the argenous course. There was a bumper car station and a Nerf ball course as well, and they even had archery. Overall, Bolder Adventure Park was a fun filled day where the kids got to get loose and active in this amazing park, vice staying at home. There is a bar/ cafe where they sell burgers, nachos, and pizzas. They also have fountain drinks and beer on tap for additional purchase. All of the prices were fair and reasonable, and they have shoes for rental if you accidentally wore sandals or Crocs. read more

Great concept but the follow through was a but rough. Found this place through Groupon and bought two passes. What I didn't know was as an adult who didn't really want to participate in things, I could have just watched for free. We walked in and wasn't properly greeted, rather asked have you signed the waiver? Well I hadn't so I was directed to the corner where waivers are to be signed. Then we stood in line waiting to make it to the front desk. Got there and explained I had a Groupon and it seems like the air was sucked out the room. The customer service was subpar. I had to ask so where do we go from here? And it's like just walk around and figure it out. We did the blaster and the teams were very unbalanced with big folks on one team and little kids on the other. There didn't seem to be much supervision during the game. Then we went to do the bumper cars - long line as half of them weren't working. Then they were taking two people at a time where i had to ask, are only two cars working? I was told no so I had to ask can we get a single rider and surprisingly there were a few single riders to help move the line along. Ice skating was more for little kids as was the nets. The last thing our bands covered was the tubes which once again could be fun (racing each other down the lanes) but they kept trying to separate us and seemed frustrated when we were like we want to go together. With all of that said the highlight of this place is the climbing wall, the ropes and the free fall. Free fall wasn't working, and you have to have a black band to do all the events. We also saw archery but it's an additional cost. They also have a mining but that's an extra cost as well as a gift shop. They have a food court, I was told no outside food or water however i saw folks walking around with their own water bottles so im not exactly sure about that. From the moment we walked in ALL the employees were hard at work. Taking care of every family walking in and answering any questions they had. I personally had my girls with me. My nine year old tried the Rope experience and even though I was nervous about it, watching the employees be so attentive and making sure she knew how to work the harness and clips it made me feel at ease. Throughout the entire obstacle course it didn't matter what direction I looked at, the employees were all paying close attention to all the kids and adults assuring their safety. Very friendly. Visited this place over the Thanksgiving holiday. I must say this place is definitely for the kids! This is a child's paradise! But why the low star rating? Glad you asked! First, make sure you read every fine print. I did not know that they do not give refunds. But they will give you food, drink (even alcoholic), and game tokens in return. Price Point- This place is way too expensive for the quality of what they offer. $60 bucks for an all day pass? Might as will go to Six Flags. Customer Service-As one reviewer pointed out the customer service needs help. Now there were some outstanding staff like the young quirky girl at the gun range. She was excited to be there!! Loved her energy. But the snack bar staff was rude and unprofessional. My guest had to cuss one of them out because she was asking for napkins to clean up a spill and the lady just stared at her. Lol! I was ordering drinks and the staff had no expression, no comment, no feedback, it was weird. Staffing- They only had (1) poor guy handling the slides. The lines were long. He had to go between both launch pads to help guest on the fast and slow slide. He was very overworked. You could clearly see they needed (2) people to work this attraction. The majority of the staff appeared overworked and under paid. They were so unhappy to be working, it was awful. "Zip Line"- This is not a zip line course. It's an Indiana Jones walk the plank type of attraction with 1 or 2 zips. This was disappointing. I didn't finish. The staff at the zip line station acted like zombies. With the exception of the guy doing the introduction. He was very good. "Ice-rink"-The rink is a small rectangular area with beaten up plastic for "ice" that you cannot skate on. I saw many people walking instead of gliding. This is a rip-off. I returned my skates 2 minutes after getting on the ice. You wait in a long 15 minute line just to get skates and return them because they are understaffed. What DID I like?- I enjoyed the shooting range, the slide and the wine in a can they served. Overall, the kids may have fun but with this experience I wouldn't return. There are plenty of activities that "kids" will enjoy. Did not regret the 45 drive to get here. It's not just for kids, there were plenty of adults participating. It's a fun for the kids but the courses are challenging. I saw a handful of people change their minds and have to be zip lined out. 95% of employees are having high quality hirers. Most of their jobs are physically challenging. Working with kids and adults to learn a new activity has to be mentally challenging. Completed the waivers online, paid & headed straight to the harness waiting area. It took us a good 45 minutes to get harnessed and go through a few minutes of training. Mostly attaching yourself to the safety cord It initially seemed nerve racking to my 10 year old guests but they had the hang of it after completing their first course. The biggest mountain that you see from the entrance requires the double diamond pass but due to the 70 lb minimum, we weren't eligible. There are still multiple climbing walls, cubes and obstacle ladders to climb for the 70 lb and less crowd. The ropes course was the biggest hit for my group. You complete each level to advance. Mine were disappointed to find out that only level 1 & level 2 were currently operating. Watching the kids step out of their comfort zone and gain confidence repeating the 1 & 2 levels was still awesome! The wait was never more than 10-15 minutes. The cafe line moved quickly and is the only place to get a drink or snack. They were out of ALOT so don't come hungry. We were able to snag slushies, a pizza and french fries. The fries aren't traditional fries, more like chip fries. The pizza was good but it took almost 30 minutes to get the food. They offer several of choices of adult beverage. The blaster zone was good but tubing slides was a lot of work for a quick few seconds. Speaking of a quick few seconds, they need to add a big zip line. This building /dome is Huge but the longest zip line was 2-3 seconds. The treehouses and free fall weren't open either. There was a child in our group that ended up having a lot of fear on the ropes course would have benefited from the netted in experience of the treehouses. Bolder has no staffing shortage. There were plenty of employees around. However, hey lacked janitorial assistance. I saw 3 half full cups in the harness waiting area when we arrived (small, free key lockers are here to hold your wallet or jackets). 7 hours later, they were still there!! It's new so that helps it have the nice/new vibe. But the edges of the floor held little pieces of trash & dust, spills would stay on the floor with a 'Wet' sign for and hour or two. The TV areas had former customer's trash left behind for hours. After 7 hours inside, on the way home, the kids were already talking about coming back! So that is proof of a good time! read more

My 3 kids watch Unspeakable and have been begging me to take them to Bolder. We live out of town but finally made it here over their spring break, and they all had the best time! Kids ages are 7, 9, and 12. It is perfect for their ages. My 12 year old got the black diamond pass and did the ropes course. My other two got the lower priced blue pack. They all loved the treehouse too. There were lots of staff around, and I found the staff to all be super helpful. The park was clean and well maintained. My issue is that we attempted to pre purchase tickets online to get the deal but the website was glitching. We decided to drive the hour plus trip thinking they would honor the online price since it was their issue that we couldn't. Ice skating, laser tag, and the slides. Ice skating was literally smaller than my living room and wasn't real ice. Yoy couldn't actually skate on it- only walk around in skates. My kids had the skates on for 3 minutes and were bored. Took them off and walked the rest of the park and decided it wasn't for us. Went to the front desk, explained the situation. They said too bad- it wasn't their fault so they don't care. Wouldn't offer a refund. So of course I asked to speak to a manager. Same thing. I have photos of my receipt and when I took off the wrists band. 20 minutes I was at their facility. Including the 10 minutes for me to talk to a few employees to ask for the refund. I've worked with the public-I know customers aren't always right but this is just abuse. This facility won't be open for long treating customers like this. read more
