I spoke to them at 10am and they told me if I got the car to them by 11 then they would have it sorted by 12:30. I dropped the car off at 11 and they had it fixed by 11:30! They hoovered out all the broken glass too, couldn't even tell anything had happened. I would highly recommend these guys if anything happens to your car windows. Provided they can get the parts from their supplier then the whole process should be done same day. Word of warning though, they only accept cash or card, no cheques, so if your wallet gets pinched out of your car like mine was then you may need to dash to the bank!

Everything fine until I went to pick up my car to be told the breakdown driver had damaged my car. £800s worth of damage. Britannia are refusing to pay and blaming the garage. They have just washed their hands of it and told me its my problem. As they recommended the garage, they should at least be assisting to get the matter dealt but no. They have told me I am on my own. Thank you Britannia. I am never trusting them again. They use agents and you never know how reliable the agents are. Different agents depending on where you are. Never again.

As such, with the involvement of the Police and my insurer, I have fortunately been in the position to get the work fixed at zero cost to myself... Step-in Lancashire Motor Bodies, saviour of the hour and supplier of some of the best customer service I have ever had the pleasure of receiving. True, I didn't have to shop around as they are the preferred repairer of my insurer, but I have to say that I was a little sceptical on first researching them as there were only a couple of aged reviews on the web (not on Yelp, obviously!) and these weren't exactly glowing. Well, my experience was different. On finding them, tucked away as they are in Salford, but only 30 seconds off Bury New Road, you could be mislead by the exterior of the business premises, as it isn't exactly glamorous, but then again, it is a car bodywork repairer! However, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They lead me through the whole process with my insurer, collected my car and delivered a courtesy car which was mine free of charge, phoned me regularly with updates on the work and again when it was finished. They even returned my car, resplendent with new front wing, fully valeted inside and out. I couldn't recommend them highly enough and think they are well worth every one of the 5 stars I'm giving them. I hope you don't require their services, but if you do, they'll look after you (and your car!).
