In summer 2012 my daughter and I were lucky enough to meet Alex! Almost on a whim I decided to explore cranial osteopathy treatment for my daughter and, while hoping there would be benefits I never anticipated the amazing transformation that followed. From a very young age my bright, beautiful and vital daughter had regularly displayed challenging behaviour, this usually manifested as tempestuous outbursts that appeared beyond her control and often left her inconsolably distressed. She had reached all expected milestones, no educational/medical needs had been identified, however her behaviour caused problems at home and at school and was a constant source of stress and unpredictability. A friend of a friend recommended Alex and off we went, me filled with trepidation, to our first appointment! From the moment my daughter and I met Alex we were put totally at ease , he is the most approachable individual I had been expecting a stuffy/intimidating practitioner, however Alex is so pleasant and made us both laugh so much! Most importantly my daughter was so comfortable and trusting in his company it was lovely to watch Alex work with her. From the 1st treatment the change in my daughter was amazing, she came away with a new air of calm about her! I struggle to find words to explain the transformation its almost as if she had been on the wrong frequency and Alex has reset her default settings!! It's made such a difference to our lives, It feels like the stress has been vacuumed out of our household, everyone notices the change! She's getting on so much better at school and most importantly my lovely, lovely daughter, Connie, is a much calmer/happier individual who is having a far more positive experience of the world around her!! Alex was highly recommended by a friend who's daughter he had successfully treated. After seeking help from doctors and friends I decided to book our 3 month old baby in for his first session of cranial osteopathy with Alex. A little sceptical, Alex told us James would need approximately 5 sessions and we would have a completely different baby. After just receiving our fifth session James is, as Alex had said, a completely different baby. Prior to seeing Alex he screamed for long periods, had great difficulty feeding and did not sleep for more than 30-60 mins. James is now a very happy settled baby who now SLEEPS at night. Having moved to the area in 2007 and having played hockey for many years I had a back that had treibble problems. As a PE teacher this was not the best situation to be in. Having had a good osteopath where i had previously lived I was able to cope with the daily pressure my job placed my back under. But when I was struck down at work it was essential I found someone that could help. Alex was the closests and soonest ostepath I could get to see so I gave him a go and ever since then I have never looked elsewhere. Alex is quick to diagnose problems and was extermely quick at getting me back to work without any issues. He is very professional but also someone that will listen and do anything he can to sort your problems out. So good in fact my problems rarely crop up now but, whenever they do, I have his number on speed dial and will recomend him to anyone that has issues that need an osteopath. My experience first started in 2008 when my daughter was born. She was born with severe reflux and spent 12 days in special care. As We left hospital with lota of medication We were told to prepare for a rough ride and that she would be on meds until at least 12 months. After a search of the condition on the net I came across cranial osteopathy and decided to give it a go. The reflux symptoms eased after the first treatment and after another five sessions she es like a different baby. By the age of 4 months she was off all of the medication it was amazing. Friends were amazed by this and a further two friends booked in to see Alex. In may 2011 baby no 2 arrived and after a couple of wks the windy colic began and he was taken to Alex for 3 treatments which worked a treat. I was first put in touch with Alex nearly 10 years ago when he was recommended by my sister after he had worked extensively with my young nephew .Since then virtually the whole family has had appointments at one time or another . Quite recently I was involved in only a minor road accident, but unfortunately was left very unwell, with concussion and pains in my head which can only be described as someone driving nails in with a very large hammer!!! Having been recommended by a friend , and being in constant pain for the last 10 years, Alex has changed my life. I had been to a number of clinics before seeing Alex , and they were unable to stop the pain . Alex treated my 4 week old son as he was very unsettled the whole time, uncomfortable feeding, unable to sleep well etc etc. Having had past experience of treatment with my daughter i decided to try it at this early stage. Alex came highly recommended and I'm very glad we persued cranio sacral therapy with him. My son is now nearly 18 months. After 5 terrible months of constant ear infections he was refered to Manchester Children's Hospital. At his appointment we were told he had very bad glue ear, he was fast tracked to have grommets fitted. 4 days after his appointment he had his first session with Alex.
