It may sound odd but my car was unfortunately towed by this company and I'm still giving them a good review. They answered all my calls and were very professional over the phone and in person as well. They lose a star because towing me where there weren't visible signs (it was all the way at the front far from my car) after only an hour there is beyond annoying, they don't have anyone ready to release your car so I had to wait 30 minutes, they only take cash, and I had a few hours max to come up with the money. Some of it I get they're a business with their own reasons but it was a very unexpected thing and very high stress. I wish cards were an option because on a different day I wouldn't have had the cash and it would have cost me more. Overall their professionalism and transparency is what gives them the good review, their business practices loses them a star. PS they're the last building that says BTS on it. read more

This company is in violation of the consumer protection laws. As of 2026, Florida Statute § 713.78(19)(a) (as amended by House Bill 179 in 2024) is the primary statute requiring towing-storage operators to accept multiple payment methods. Under this law, a towing company must accept payment in at least two of the following forms: Form Group 1: Cash, cashier's check, money order, or traveler's check. Form Group 2: Bank, debit, or major credit card (such as Visa or MasterCard). Form Group 3: Mobile payment services, digital wallets, or other electronic payment systems (e.g., Zelle, PayPal, Apple Pay). this company will lie to the consumer telling them they only accepting cash or cashier checks and that is the 2 forms required. I have video evidence of them denying my payments and stating they only accept cash or cashier checks. If you have dealt with them since Jan 2026 get with the attorney generals office They are also trying to intimidate people by forcing them to pay before you can inspect your vehicle. When I went to retrieve my vehicle I requested to see my vehicle and the items inside. I was told not until I pay. After I stated the law they still demanded payment. I stood my ground and finally was granted permission to see my vehicle prior to payment. Finally this company is breaking the law a third time. In Florida the towing company must report a towed vehicle within 30mins of the tow happening. When we called the local police department (Haines) they have on record that the vehicle was towed at 0205 and impounded at 0230 BUT when looking at camera footage of the scene, the vehicle was towed at 2200 making this falsified documents. I highly encourage people to reach out to the attorney generals office as that is what we are doing and take them to court as these are all illegal practices. read more

I'm in agreement with a post from earlier noting that this business does illegal racketeering with HOAs and/or their associated security companies and tow vehicles against state and municipal laws. Our vehicle was towed from Encore Resorts for parking with extension into (not over) a sidewalk that ran through the driveway. The security company claims they left a written notice on the vehicle the morning of (while we were away at disney parks with our children) and then had the vehicle towed thereafter. One clear issue is that there are no posted signs stating parking within the side walk zone is not ok and there are no signs that indicate a car may be towed whatsoever. There was no notice by the HOA, the security team who called in the tow, Encore resorts, or the booking company Top Villas. I have spoken with all entities and no one can provide written documentation about this parking rule and no one has provided the contractual agreement that details a car may be towed for this purpose or has a relationship with the towing company BTS. We returned to a towed vehicle; the towing receipt from BTS shows the vehicle was picked up at 5:51pm, confirmed by Tyler (a manager or owner presumably after multiple conversations) who cannot confirm when the car entered their storage gate at 2700 RWS Ranch Rd, Haines City, FL 33837 -- 13 miles away. He claims he will provide this information once he pulls the GPS tracking from the tow. The car was picked up at 5:53am the following morning. As shown below, we were charged several illegal fees. The Osceola ordinances, also posted below, clearly state that storage fees can not be assigned until after a minimum of 6 hours of storage, which begins when the car enters the storage facility, or "gate" per Tyler -- who claims he can charge this the moment the car is hooked up to the tow truck. I doubt the car made it 13 miles in 9 minutes, so according the the timeline, we were charged an additional day of storage fees. We were also charged an administrative fee, which is illegal until after 48 hours. The car was in their facility for less than 12 hours. A gate fee was also charged, which is illegal in this district. As this was an illegal tow in the first place, really no fees should be allowed; however, I am an honest human being and apparently we did state we would come get the vehicle immediately after being told the car was towed and instead got held up with the HOA/resort attempting to sort this situation out. Hopefully, we can sort this out with filing formal complaints with FLHSMV, the FL Attorney General, and Osceola county. read more

Absolute Scammy Predatory towing company. They towed my car from my driveway in the middle of the night. It had been sitting there in the same spot all week because, you know, its my driveway. Woke up and after getting back from the gym noticed my car is gone (it was 5AM I guess I didn't notice when I left.) Obviously, they came in the middle of the night (1AM) when the owner's can not actually do something about the issue (my car was maybe 2-3 feet on the sidewalk but again, mostly on my driveway and it had been there for many days and no one said anything.) Went to there main office and was told my car wasn't there but was at there Davenport office (don't just google the number they call you from because that's too logical, make sure you ask them where your car is at). Went to there Davenport location, which is literally just a single room shack with a bathroom in it. (Obviously built simply to be in range of all the subdivision's in this area but they don't worry about maintaining it at all.) After, paying $205 I get my car back. Oh ya, obviously they take cash only like any other upstanding business that cares about customer service and actually doing the right thing. end sarcasm. We were driving to Maryland and decided to stop for dinner and visit family at Covey Homes Bella Citta in Davenport, Florida. After searching for over 40 minutes to find parking at the community that could accommodate our truck and trailer, we sought help from a community employee, a Hispanic gentleman, likely in security or maintenance, who directed us to park near the dumpster. He assured us it was fine since there were no "no parking" signs and trash pickup had already occurred. Trusting his guidance, we parked there and went to have dinner with the family we were visiting. When we returned two hours later to continue with our trip, our truck, trailer and motorcycles on the trailer were gone. Bolton's Towing Service claimed the tow was based on a call from the community to their dispatcher, Kevin, but they refused to disclose who made the call. Jason, the tow driver from Bolton's admitted he misinterpreted a "no dumping" sign as a "no parking" sign, leading to the tow. To make matters worse, we were initially quoted $390 over the phone, but when we arrived at the tow lot, the fee was increased to $492. They claimed it was because the truck, trailer, and motorcycles were separate "vehicles," even though it was a single tow. We involved the sheriff's office and filed a report for illegal towing, but since it was about 1 a.m. by then and I had our 4-year-old and my wife waiting, we had no choice but to pay the inflated fee. This is a predatory practice by Bolton's Towing Service that completely disrupted our travel plans and wrongfully charged us. This type of behavior is unacceptable and I will keep cautioning others about them. Now, they are going to claim that this review is out of anger, frustration and pettiness. Well, I was frustrated on that day because it completely messed up our travel plans. So I deliberately waited over a week to revisit this, to ensure my judgment was clear. We were broken down in a not so great part of town. Contacted AAA at 3:30 p.m. and the wait began. It was 97 degrees and we had rolled the windows down due to the heat. With the car dead, we couldn't roll up the windows to lock and leave it. After six calls to AAA and customer no service, we called Bolton's. They were there within 20 minutes. Sam was so professional and he took great care of us in a stressful situation. He delivered our car to the dealership near our home and texted us a video. These people are amazing, came out to my house at midnight to move my disabled vehicle into the garage; every other company said it wasn't worth it. Robert, the driver, was here in 20 minutes and had the car in the garage in even less time. He was incredibly friendly, and had impressive skills maneuvering the truck. I can't say thank you enough to Bolton's for their help today (03/19/20). My husband was only 2 miles from home when our car conked out flat. Originally when I called I was told about an hour wait maybe, but the driver called back almost immediately and got there in half the time. Jayson is hands down the kindest driver I ever met. Not only a local to our area so he knew exactly where to pick up and drop my husband off, but was just fantastic about everything from the pick up to the drop off. I know most people call tow truck drivers 'villains' and whatnot but it's not their fault when people break the rules and park where they shouldn't - please don't blame the drivers for your faults! I wish I could do 0 stars, this is the worse place to deal with, especially The Rep name Mike, he is so unprofessional, rude, lack of impatient, and RACIST. We couldn't get all cash from the ATM we were missing like 6$ and he did not want us to use our card, he said oh who knows we might disputes the charges because he saw we were black, discrimination. so we had to go to the ATM 3 times because of that. That was the worse experience we ever had with a towing company, he mad because he was supposed to leave at 5 and we were there before 5 but due to them not being inside the store we had to wait for him and then send us to get cash but yet still blamed us for that.
