Really trying to find the Phoenix hot spot for boba, and was hopeful for Bomboba. Inside is very well designed, very clean, and a nice atmosphere for studying, relaxing or just enjoying a boba drink. The menu is expansive, with all sorts of different drinks, flavors, and flavored boba. Staying fairly simple with my orders, I tried the Coconut boba milk tea with regular boba, and a taro boba milk tea with regular boba. Both were good, not great. The flavor fell a bit flat, almost tasted like stevia, instead of real sugar. The boba was also average, wasn't the most squishy and fresh I've had Overall, I would try it again, but it's definitely a not the boba Mecca of the valley. read more

I have a slight addiction to Boba so Imagine how excited I was when I realized that this little gem was right around the corner from me. It's got minimal parking because it's located in between multiple shops. The parking lot can get pretty busy at times especially if it's during lunch or dinner rush because it's located next to a panda express and a little Caesars. Personally I think the shop is super cute. I love the color schemes but green is one of my favorite colors. When you walk in the staff is very polite, warm, and friendly. They have a ton of options so it is easy to feel a little overwhelmed but don't worry the staff will happily walk you through picking out your new Boba treat. I did not end up getting any food but there were a couple of patrons who were eating and the food looked pretty yummy. The inside of the facility was nice and clean they have good seating arrangements and also they have a couple of big screen TVs located in the venue. I'm never coming back to this boba shop again. It used to be my favorite boba stop, for about 5 years. It has gone so far downhill since then. First of all, they raised their prices. Now it is $7 for a drink, it used to be $5.45. They only have ONE size, which is large. The large size isn't even a standard large. It can be considered a small or medium at other drink shops. They used to do sealed lid drinks which is pretty standardized for boba shop. Now they give it to you in a basic plastic cup with a plastic lid that leaks everywhere. The worker gave me my drink with a handful of napkins because it was leaking everywhere when she gave it to me. I couldn't put my straw into the drink because it leaked everywhere when i was simply just holding it. The workers were really rude, they acted like we were stupid for asking pretty basic questions like if the drinks were non-dairy and where the napkins were. My boyfriend got a Green Apple Redbull, in which the drink was 80% ice (as seen in attached photo), and he legitimately was finished with his drink in 20 seconds when he took two sips from it. $7 for two sips of drink, when we could have gone down the street and paid $3 for a red bull and some syrup and had a better experience. Not only have the prices gone up, but the quality and service has fallen to unreasonably low standards. Find somewhere else to get your boba! read more

"Snow" is like a milkshake or frappe while the "Fruit Smoothies" are actually fruit smoothies made from 100% real fruit. So Durian tastes like Papaya but not as sweet, that's why I mix it with Vanilla. Jackfruit tastes like mild Butterscotch/Almond/Vanilla. Lychee tastes like Mango/Rose/Lemon. The Crystal Boba is made from seaweed extract and absorbs the flavor of your shake, tastes good with fruit smoothies. If you are looking for a healthier alternative to the Black Boba pearls try the Crystal ones! The Popping Boba actually has fruit juices, be sure to try them, they go well with the fruit smoothies too! The Black Boba goes well with the snow/frappes. What I like about this place is that they always give a generous amount of boba pearls. I also love that they have late hours, and plenty of board games. And the service has been amazing every time! The only negative are the prices they are steeper than other boba places in the valley. Tried their pandan ice cream and it was very good! Their avocado and ube ice cream was okay. Reading these reviews made me a bit nervous, but I've wanted to check this place out for a while so I took a chance and stopped by. First impression was they had many great menu options. I was pleased to see they even had the Hokkaido milk tea I like that so many other boba places do not...even better they had honey boba. I read over and over again on other reviews that service was awful and such, but that was not my experience. I was greeted right away. The only rude or dismal person I encountered was actually another customer who was just miserable. We ordered a Hokkaido and Taro milk tea and waited. The store unfortunately felt like they had their heater on. It's still in the 80s out so that wasn't fun. Luckily there is seating in the back under a huge ceiling fan that helped keep us cool while we waited. There were a couple tvs and cute chairs to sit. The front tables could use some cleaning. Our drinks came out pretty quick and they were both delicious. If I was in the area I'd come again. read more

I use to come here when it first open. It's was great, they use to offer a lot of items like food/ice cream then. Now it's kinda sad during the pandemic. Service is slow. Ordering takes forever now since they seem to be under staff. Seating furniture is just horrible and worn out. Rips and tears all over the seating which is hideous to look at. I have been to Bomboba plenty of times before but never thought to write a review. The place is clean and it's easy to order. When you walk in there is a giant wall menu to the left and the counter to order. The guy welcomed us quickly and asked if we had any questions. My son wanted cherry pearls in his drink instead but they were out so he went with the watermelon pearl to go with his watermelon snoblended. My daughter ordered strawberry snoblended with pomegranate pearls. They do have punch cards and the guy asked if I had one. After digging around in my wallet and purse for it I just had him give me a new one. He let me know when I find it I can bring it in with the new one and they'll punch it out which is nice. We paid and pretty much once we sat down the drinks were ready. Both kids loved their drinks and we will be back again soon! read more

One of my favorite boba places, and it happens to be the first place I tried boba. I've been here so many times over the past 6 years its insane. I haven't had anything that had a bad taste. My personal favorite things to order are the banana milk tea, mango slush, and peach iced tea. All with boba, of course. Occasionally I switch it up and get popping pearls, which are also great. I like to order their popcorn chicken with a side of ranch too. The restaurant is fairly small but it's been expanded maybe a year or two ago? So it's more spacious than it once was. Their cups changed too, and now the boba is white instead of its usual black color. I haven't noticed a difference in taste or texsince the change. read more

First of all, the menu is way too big on the wall. Whenever I come here, I don't know what to get and what's good there. I always get the simple Vietnamese coffee or Thai tea if I'm indecisive. If I have a sweet tooth, then I'll order the crush avocado durian. The drinks are ok. I personally think nothing stand out to me. I feel that they put too much ice or maybe the ice are too hard so I don't taste the flavors as much. The place looks nice, colorful and comfy for hang outs and get together. We went to the wrong cash register and the guy came out and went to the other one and he was just standing there and didn't tell us that he can help us out over there. Went to get a mango slush with mango boba. It was expensive and small compared to other places. It hardly had any mango flavor at all. It tasted like a water slush. I asked a few questions about the menu and each time I asked I was met with a sigh and a straight face "", as if asking questions or asking the employees to do their job is a burden. When I was paying, another employee (young woman with facial piercings) walked out from the back of the restaurant in pajama shorts and a tshirt with wolves on them. Been here many times! Closest boba place to my house, just right down the road. The location was clean well kept, and organised. The staff is friendly and helpful and kind. Didn't take long for the drinks to come out. We got a side booster and a sesame milk tea. I believe their drink is powdered based. Overall decent. The loo was pretty clean, pretty decent quality soap a pleasant clean scent with a touch of sage. Decent toilet paper. No thin paper here that tears apart as you wipe. Good quality. The music in there was very loud. Very extremely hard to think while doing my business. Very hard to facilitate a two in such loud environment. People can think the best and come up with innovative ideas while in the loo doing a two, but not in here for being so load. Overall a good experience, don't see why we wouldn't come back. read more

Yummmmy Ive had this boba place book marked for a long long time! I'm a sucker for good boba places with food. So my mom and I went in during the afternoon. this place had a large menu with tons of different types of drinks and little bites. We both ordered a honey milk tea with boba and custard. It's pretty much the only drink I get get with boba. Other then a Thai tea. Also we ordered a side of pot stickers The honey milk tea was so delicious not overly sweet and the custard was good to along with yes the boba. Have liked this place in the past and thought we'd pick something up since we were in the area, which is rare. Going in it appear to be the normal atmosphere a before. If you're paying by cash have exact change FYI. Also anything on ice has to be a large. A policy that apparently is a policy for this location only, per cashier. Cashier helped out even after clocking out which was nice. Ordered halo halo and two milk teas one of which was almond flavored. Was informed that the halo halo would have traditional ingredients, similar to what we've had from past experiences. Bean, jackfruit fruit jelly ube jam flan and ube ice cream....this is what you'd probably get if you got something similar in the past Well that was all wrong. They just threw in a bunch of ingredients to possibly compensate for missing items and never told us. Thinking this as apparently you could not substitute since the ingredients were pre mixed. Was not as good as it was in the past. They jacked us by throwing a bunch of jack fruit in. Too far to go back to fix it. Essentially paid for two drinks that were not made as intended and overall a huge disappointment. I believe they're under new Mgmt and if that's the case they got a lot of work to do. To be honest although staff was friendly with each other you get a sense that they didn't want to really be there. read more

TLDR: Make sure to get a print out and check your receipts. They're scamming you. We ordered off of the menu they gave us and overcharged us. Their words were, "the menu we gave you isn't updated". They didn't even try to fix this problem. They then followed up with the sentence, "I don't know". Maybe update the menu before having your customers order off of it? If there is a price change, maybe let them know ahead of time and not overcharge them quietly? I asked them if they can honor the price and again their exact words were, "I don't know what to do about it". If you really don't know, maybe go find out? They just walk away afterwards and pretended nothing happened. Completely ignored it. The drinks were fine. It's not amazing, but not terrible either. I just have problem with people getting ripped off. Imagine quietly overcharging each customer around $1.20 per drink each day. Do you know how much money you can make off of that on just the drinks alone? Who knows how long they've been doing this for and how many people they've been doing this to. Compared to the other location I'm impressed with this store, my drinks were out in less than 5 minutes, my food shortly after. Fast friendly service and my drinks and food were good. I would drive the extra miles and minutes out of my way to visit this store instead of the Avondale location. Just like last time it was super busy, crowded and loud. Instead of being up sold this time we were given unfriendly service. It took at minimum 20 minutes for our two drinks to come out. I purposely did not watch them prepare the drinks. We both did not order boba to enjoy the drinks for their main ingredients. Again, both left a weird powdery after taste. We had ordered the blended Horchata and a caramel ice grass jelly. After several sips of my drink I noticed that all I was tasting was grass jelly.. Then all of a sudden one of my sips had a funny texture so I spit it into a napkin figuring it was just a weird cut of the grass jelly. Uh no, turns out it was a red ant. The boba here is okay. With all the improvements and renovations, the quality of the place did improve. But I feel like the drinks lack in quality. Don't get me wrong, I would still come here sometimes if I'm in the mood. I ordered the Thai tea here and it tasted pretty bland. No sweet to it and felt like they just took it straight from the can. My friend ordered the popcorn chicken here. I expected it to be a little crunchy on the outside. Turns out, the order was soft on the outside and the flavor tasted different. Last review was two years ago, but have visited a couple times prior to this review and I feel pretty similar about it. Large menu, which can make decision making hard to do but settled for their Lychee Green tea again with boba. The tea was good, pieces of lychee pieces (but too big to fit through the straw) and very sweet. However, the boba itself was unflavored and well cooked alright. I have been coming here for years and was totally bummed when it was closed for a remodel. But I must say since the remodel and New Management this place has improved tremendously I always order a strawberry kiwi slush with regular Bobo. Before it would be mixed together so much that it turned a brown color and you couldn't taste the different flavors in it . It was good that way and I just assumed that's how it came but I ordered one tonight and was completely shocked when it came out with two different colors and at first I was concerned thinking it was going to taste the same but I'm glad it didn't because this is 100% better than the way it was before you are able to taste each flavor and there are even little pieces of strawberry inside the drink . Wrong address. This location is on McDowell in Tolleson. This place is super convenient as I live nearby - no longer do I have to drive out to the Cactus and 75th Ave location! Came in here for the first time last weekend. Apparently they've been open for about a month now. Service was prompt and the employees were really nice. It's cute and the menu is extensive! The flavors are not in alphabetical order so you gotta just "know" what you want or stand there like a dummy trying to figure out what you want (like me... then I end up ordering my usual Thai Milk Tea w/ boba... LOL!) - anyway, we were told that this location has a different owner than the Cactus and 75th Ave location and that they offer more drinks than the other place. Steer clear unless you want to get screwed. I tried using my punch card today for a free drink medium. They however don't have medium any more. I ordered two milk teas. $4.95 each added boba to one. My total should have been under $7. They charged me over $8 for this two drinks. They charged a $1.50 for the upgrade to a large for one drink. Both drinks were the same size. They just decided that they were going to add the charge to offset the free drink. If you don't want to offer free drinks, then don't. But don't lie. That is a misleading business practice. These two girls apologized that I didn't understand. I understand. I understand you are misleading customers and cheating your customers.
