My sister-in-law and I had the opportunity to do a boudoir shoot with Ali, and I must say that she was pleasant, easy to work with and spent a great deal of time during the shoot making us feel comfortable and beautiful. I would definitely work with her again and have recommended her to friends who are looking for maternity and special occasion shoots. Even though we showed up for our shoot late (due to an uncooperative GPS system) Ali did a great job utilizing the time available to our advantage. Ali had a very business oriented approach and did a great job recommending which outfits would be the most flattering, which would be best to shoot in first, and helping us feel good about the session, even showing us some of the best photos as she took them. She was very personable and approachable. Her studio is in her home, and she has done a great job setting up a beautiful and comfortable area in which to do her boudoir photos. The natural light in the room is perfect and very flattering. My only recommendation might be a fabric screen in one corner to make changes a little quicker and provider her with one more prop she could use in her photos. ;) Prior to the shoot she helped us with make-up suggestions (since we were planning to do our own), and called the day before to remind us of our appointment. She may not be as outgoing as some of the photographers around town, but I think she really does a great job in focusing her attention on what is important...making sure her clients have beautiful photos, making sure to utilize the time available for the optimum outcome, and getting to know what her client's interests and ideas are. She was more than happy to let us add our own props and was generally interested in our personal lives...asking questions about what we did, where we lived, who the photos were for, and what kind of things we liked to do. I came into this whole photo shoot a bucket of nerves. I didn't know how to stand where to look what to do and ali was not only helpful but she made feel so comfortable and was more than understanding so it turned out to be a ton of fun! I disagree with the first review, I found ali so nice and accomodating with my groupon. After seeing my pictures I can understand why she is so busy they are just amazing! Not only that but I found her patient and willing to do whatever we needed of her. Sure everyone has a bad day and there are days I don't know what I'm doing in the next hour so thinking a month into my schedule would be impossible. People need to be more understanding of life and the holiday rush and the fact that she is trying to work with 200 diff groupon customers who have all swarmed her instead of how inconvienced they are by having to make two phone calls. On a lighter note these pictures are some my family and friends say should be in a magazine...and I'm a mother of 3! They captured my husband and I at a time when we were busy in life and had forgotten why we were here in the first place. I look at these pictures everyday and its a constant reminder why I'm here, and why I love him. I had a ton of fun, I fell in love with ali and I will not only go back someday I have given her name to everyone I know. Ali is so gifted in what she does. I have shot portraits and boudoir sessions for her multiple times and always delivers! She has her own studio in her home which is gorgeous- and her use of natural lighting is phenomenol. I am 21 years old and have shot for many photographers- none as good as Ali and none as professional. She has an all female staff, and there are NEVER any men (not even her roomate) in or around the house when she is shooting. You really feel comfortable with her and she makes you feel sexy! I have recommended her to all of my clients who are looking for a great gift for their bf/husband or engagement/wedding pictures. She is so helpful in helping you decide which pictures are the best. I had such an amazing experience with Ali. So I have to disagree with the previous poster. I was so nervous when I came in. I hadn't ever met her before, and was unsure of how my photos would turn out. When I got there, the nerves continued (I mean who likes to be half naked anyways) lol. But once we started the session it was a blast. I had never been more comfortable. It was so much fun. I thought I was coming in for the photos. My fiancé had pictures taken as a Christmas present for me and they are outstanding. She is fairly modest and not the biggest fan of her body (that I adore) so even going forward with this idea was huge. Ali made her feel so comfortable and she had a blast! Ali is very genuine and personable once you meet her. I too tried to book around Valentine's Day and found it difficult to schedule an appointment. That is my fault though because I left things to the last minute. I am a pretty easy going person, so we got along great during the shoot. I don't feel comfortable showing my abdomen to strangers and Ali made me feel like I was beautiful and important! I had an EXCELLENT experience with Ali. I had an upcoming anniversary and was on a tight deadline but she accommodated me in every way possible.
