We originally planned to go to another restaurant nearby, but the wait times were too long, so we ended up here. It was a cold day and soup sounded comforting. When we walked in, there was an odd smell--something like a strong disinfectant or wet rag--that the whole group noticed but couldn't quite identify. We were seated fairly quickly. The service felt a bit disorganized, though everyone was friendly--decent, but not standout. The food itself was solid: the soup was hot, the pork came out sizzling, the bibimbap portion was generous, and the pajeon was crispy with a good amount of seafood. I'd come back if I were in the area and craving hot soup, but I'm not sure it would become a regular spot for me.

I was pleasantly surprised by this spot! Came by on a late afternoon on 1/1 for some ddeokguk, and was happy to see that the restaurant (which was pretty big!) was almost fully-packed. Our server was super friendly, and the other staff were also very attentive during our meal. Food came out quickly and piping hot. The menu had a ton of choices - we got the seafood pajeon to share, which was wonderfully crispy and had a lot of seafood, and I got the ddeokguk with added mandu, which was a huge portion and was just a generally very heartwarming dish. Great variety and number of banchan, and the kimchi was very refreshing. I think this will be my go-to spot for Korean food in the area now! It's handy that there's an H-Mart right next door, and I'd love to try more on the menu.

Bon Korean has GREAT service - the servers are so attentive and genuinely on top of things. The location is super convenient with plenty of parking, though it does get busy thanks to the HMart nearby. What we ordered: - Chicken Wings: Good and crispy, just not particularly memorable. - Bossam: Incredible - tender, flavorful, and such a generous portion. - Beef Soondubu: Decent, but a little lacking in depth of flavor. - Budae Jjigae: Huge portion, but also leaned mild on flavor. I'd love to come back and try some of their grilled meats next time to see if that's where they really shine. It was extremely busy so I could have just got the wrong things! But I feel like what I got were classic dishes though. Overall, still a good spot - just not my personal favorite Korean meal.

Was craving some cold noodle and we found Bon on Google. It's on the side of the building of HMart in Redmond. Luckily they had the cold noodle i wanted but their menu looked great! The staff is really nice and checked on us to make sure we were happy with the food and if we needed anything else. The ban chan was really interesting and the flavors are really good. I really enjoyed them. The cold noodles were really flavorful and really hit the spot. We also got the Seafood pancake. It is one of the better ones. Lots of seafood and veggies in the pancake. What is great here is you can tell they don't skimp on quality of the ingredients. I'm definitely coming back here for more Korean food and I recommend you give it a try. I'm definitely bringing my friends next time. Thank you! 감사합니다! It was delicious! 맛있게 먹었어요.

I've come here twice already and have ordered the Kalbijjim each time. I am OBSESSED! The tteok is so soft and chewy. The meat quite literally falls off the bone. It has the right amount of spice and is not too oily. Personally I like their Kalbijjim more than Daeho's!

Thursday afternoon, I was waiting for a friend who was running much later than expected. I had walked by and decided to stop in. I was sat immediately, it was fairly quiet, though there were several tables sat at the time. The restaurant is pretty large. it took me a minute to make my choice because everything looked so good. The server was so nice and attentive My food was brought fairly quickly. The soup was super hot, the dumplings were so delicious. The portion is large, unfortunately my appetite has been off since my vacation so I wasn't able to finish it and that made me sad because it was so good. But I definitely recommend.

Great place for Korean food. At first glance of the menu, it seems expensive but our experience was that it is worth it. lots of banchan and entrees are big. 2 of us shared bibimbap ad we were more than full. Service was very nice and we received our food very quickly. I'll definitely be back to try the bossam that looked so good.

[May 2025 update] - Do NOT order the limited ginseng chicken soup!- I was so excited for the ginseng chicken soup, but the rice inside was so hard and not cooked. The chicken wasn't cooked long enough either and it's completely disappointing compared to what I had in LA. The side dishes, esp. the radish kimchi, was also not fresh. It's so disappointing that their quality went down.

Upon walking in, you're welcomed by kind staff who take you to your table. The space is open, modern and spacious. The soups are standout - they taste so home-y and make you feel all cozy and warm, which is exactly what you want on a cold, dreary day. Don't skip the tteok bokki. It's already tasty on its own, but do yourself a favor and get the cheese on top. This place gets it - sometimes you just want food that feels like you're visiting family.

I came on Sunday evening for Seollong tong. I loved the taste of banchan, and liked selling tong. It's good but it didn't satisfy my hunger so I ordered korean fried chicken and soju fresh. It feels like I finally felt complete. I asked for sauce for my fried chicken and it was like mix of gochujang and sweet and chili thai sauce. It was very good. I liked all of the dishes. I also loved the fact so many korean folks were here compared to other korean restaurants where less korean folks dining Ajima here was super sweet, not over friendly but that's what I expect from my folks where heart is warm and not so fake friendly The restaurant ambiance feels very like dining hall with bunch of tables. It's not intimate but I like the fact I can come in alone to dine in and out as I like.

I have been coming here lately and it really enjoy the food here. I love getting their beef soft tofu soup to go and when I was dining in, I got their cold noodle dish. I think they make the best cold noodle dish for my taste. I loved it. It had a lot of flavor to it and I will definitely go back and order it again. The beef soft tofu soup has a stronger beefy flavor to it compared to another popular soft tofu place and I love it. The pieces of the beef is also the perfect size as well and they give a generous amount. Sometime ago I had tried their galbijim. (I think it's called galbijim it's the same popular dish from daeho). It was really good! Maybe there's something with my tastes but I think Bon's galbijim is better than Daeho. That's just me though. The meat was super tender and the stew was flavorful. The service here is good. The older ladies are actually nice and welcoming. I got used to getting more unhappy service at certain Korean restaurants in Federal Way and just accepted it. It was refreshing to feel welcomed here. I recommend others to try out the food at this restaurant as they do have great dishes!

This spot has quickly become one of my top choices for authentic Korean comfort food. First, hats off to their thoughtfully curated menu--it truly sets them apart. Their offerings mirror what you'd find in Korea, with traditional favorites like Seolleongtang (ox bone soup), Galbitang (beef short rib soup), Suyuk (boiled pork), and Gamjatang (pork bone stew). Recently, they even added SunDae Guk and Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup). Each dish requires intensive prep, so having them all under one roof, and done well, is rare and impressive. Here's what we tried: Bossam: Tender boiled pork belly served with garlic, dipping sauces, wraps, spicy pickled radish, and kimchi--absolutely delicious. Army Soup: Spicy, hearty, and loaded with ham, sausages, noodles, tofu, and rice cakes. Spicy Pork Kalbijjim: Spicy, sweet, and savory with large bone-in pieces, glass noodles, and veggies. Get the cheese! Ideal for 4-6 people, our group of four barely finished half of it. The radish kimchi was also excellent. The open concept is bright, clean, and spacious, with a larger party area available--a hidden gem for comfort food fans!

Lots of traditional Korean food options. The side dishes are delicious. Ordered different soup from here. It's all very tasty.

The chicken is incredibly tender and there are some nice fatty pieces in there that add a lot of richness and flavor. Exactly what you want from a proper Hainan chicken. It comes with two sauces and both are delicious. I personally felt like it was missing a soy sauce component, but then again the ginger sauce does a great job of tying everything together so I get why they went that route. Small thing overall. I did takeout and the whole process was quick and painless. The soup that came with it was really flavorful and had just the right amount of salted elements to help cut through the richness of the chicken. A nice touch that rounded out the meal. One thing worth mentioning is that I noticed it was available on DoorDash for a bit cheaper, so if you are ordering in, that might be the move. But if you are picking up in person the experience is smooth either way. Will definitely be ordering from here again. Very solid, especially coming from an LA Native

From the moment you walk in, the cultural atmosphere stands out--many of the patrons are Asian, and on my visit, a few were even dressed in traditional garments, which added a vibrant, lived-in feel to the space. It's the kind of detail you can't manufacture, and it speaks volumes about the restaurant's credibility within the community. The interior itself is fairly average--nothing particularly modern or upscale--but it doesn't detract from the experience. If anything, it keeps the focus where it belongs: on the food. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. There were only two servers handling the floor, and they were clearly stretched thin. Ordering is done digitally, which helps streamline things, but you can still feel the strain during peak times. That said, the food started arriving quickly--our tofu noodle dish came out almost immediately, while the beef dish lagged behind a bit. Presentation leans traditional in a charming way. The plates and chopsticks have that classic, no-frills aesthetic that complements the overall vibe of the restaurant. Now, let's talk about the food. First, a word of caution: spice levels here are no joke. If you're sensitive to heat, you'll want to dial it down. But if you can handle it, the flavors are absolutely worth it--rich, bold, and deeply satisfying. The tofu was exceptionally soft, almost silky, and clearly freshly prepared. The noodles matched that texture perfectly--tender, well-cooked, and comforting. Pricing is another strong point. For the quality and portion sizes, it's very reasonable, making it an easy spot to revisit without hesitation. Overall, Nine Noodles is a great pick if you're looking for authentic flavors, a culturally immersive atmosphere, and solid value. It's not about fancy decor or polished service--it's about good, honest food. I'd definitely come back.

Our family took advantage of the chicken's ability to maintain their crispiness, even for carry-out. It was OK, though a little confusing. Once we settled on KFC for dinner, our hosts (daughter and son-in-law) suggested carryout from 'The Third Place', which was a little out of the way from where we were. It is the Third restaurant opened by the owner, all Seattle area locations known for her KFC (Shin Sung Korean restaurant with Underground Kitchen and the since closed Yeon's Chicken). The chicken was ordered beforehand, and because it is prepared fresh when ordered, it took a bit of time for the order to be complete. There is a limited amount of sauce choices, so we chose Honey Garlic ($23.99) and the classic Yangnyum ($23.99), both marked as Whole Chicken size. Also a side order of french fries ($7.99) completed the order. The fries were good: nice and hot, heavily battered potatoes, providing a nice amount of carbs to go with the fried chicken. The chicken came with pickled radish (chicken-mu) which for me is a must, and it was good. In terms of the chicken, they were all wings, which isn't what I expected: getting the breast and thigh pieces chopped into bite-size pieces, battered and sauced, is what makes it KFC, vs all wings which is more like a Buffalo wing restaurant. So we still got the expected 14 pieces, but they were all wings (flats and drums). I thought the sauces were fine (intentionally ordered mild), and the chicken did maintain a crunch (though not as shattering as the best we've had).

My son graduated and I made reservations here in advance and called to ask about a table for 10, and if they could accommodate us and they said they could. Great! And I separately called about wanting to bring cupcakes and if that was allowed and they were cool with that, so super! It is one of my son's favorite spots so when the evening arrived, we got to the restaurant only to be led to a table that seated 6 in one corner and 4 kitty corner from that table. So...a family gathering had to be split, with 4 of us not even being at the same table as my son-including me. Mom. And in order to be close to him I sat with my back turned from him. Not ideal at all. So I was definitely miffed by this. I approached someone about it-not sure if he's the manager or not but he was very apologetic about it and said that they don't have seating for 10 at one table. But they tried their best by putting us all in the corner together. Not the same thing unfortunately as we could not all celebrate or converse all together. I told him that I had called specifically asking if they could accommodate 10 and I was assured they could but I did not know I had to ask "at the same table?". They should have been forthcoming that it would be at two different tables otherwise I would have made a reservation elsewhere for the celebration. What could I do but just accept his apology? But then, with a party of 10, I would think we would get extra attention but I guess since tip is already included after 5 in a party, they just called it in because I had to ask for more plates, more napkins, spoons, & water because the setting at the table was for 2, and we had 4. No one even asked us if we needed any more broth nor did they ever come to ask if anyone wanted a refill of the AYCE meats. Not that we could eat anymore but no one even offered. And, since everyone had to order the same meat plates, and one person wanted the wagyu, we all had to get wagyu at our table. Doesn't seem fair to me especially when they don't even offer more but I guess that's policy. When my son and I come in by ourselves, they are very attentive and always ask us if we need more of anything. But it was hard to find anyone to come to our table. They never checked on us after they brought the broth and meats the one time. So let me say I was very upset that the tip was included because really, no one served us unless we asked for more things. No one checked on us. Then I had to go and find someone so we could pay our bill. They apologized again for not seating us together but what could I say at that point? I'm not going to make a scene but it ruined a special night when all of the family couldn't sit together. Very disappointed with this visit especially when it's one of our fave places and we frequent it often and spent a good amount of $ that night with 10 people.
