    Matcha mochi donut
    Lena M.

Stopped at this Korean spot for their fried chicken. ***LOCATION*** It's located in a strip mall with tons of parking out front. ***EXPERIENCE*** Service is a bit slow here, but we didn't mind because we weren't in a rush. The people who work here were very kind. We ordered the jjangjang myeon, tteokboki, yangneom chicken, and a matcha mochi donut. The noodles in the jjangjang myeon were a bit overcooked, but it was still pretty good. We had a hard time finding the fish cakes in the tteokboki, but loved the flavors of the dish. The yangneom chicken had the perfect crunch, we were just left wishing the chicken itself was a bit more juicier. And the mochi donut had the perfect chewiness to it. ***PRICE*** For all that food we paid about $65 with tip included. ***BATHROOM*** There was only one working restroom when we visited, but it was gender neutral and clean. ***CONCLUSION*** I'm happy we checked this spot out, I might be interested in returning for more of their mochi donuts.

I love bubble mochi and was excited to see there was a place selling it in Williamsburg! The bubble mochi was delightful and chewy. We got the strawberry and matcha flavors. I must have come during the start of a rush because the person behind the counter seemed a bit flustered, but was still friendly and helpful. The inside was clean and didn't have anyone eating in yet. There were a few people showing up for takeaway orders. I look forward to trying their savory food and potentially eating in.

We came in for an early dinner (just after 4 PM) as we wanted to go to Rita's but needed food. The menu is very different, and the sweet lady who waited on us was persistently coming back, so we started off with some steamed bulgogi dumplings, they were delicious. They were perfectly steamed and bursting with flavor. My wife got the Curry Snow Chicken and it was delicious; she ordered the tenders (which were NOT over cooked) but that sauce was delicious and you could eat it with utensils. I ordered the Spicy Garlic Wings and these were amazing. The sauce was all over my hands as I kept eating wing after wing. The portions were sizeable and delicious. I am a huge fan of regular wings but I may try the tenders next time; my wife got the tenders and they were a lot easier to eat. Regardless of the style, you want to eat here.

Their Korean Fried Chicken with the Yangnyeom Sauce is GREAT! Crispy, well seasoned and flavorful. Also, you must try their Bibimbob with Vegetables, sooo good! Compliments to the chef! Awesome service as well. Keep up the great work! 감사합니다

An interesting restaurant...it's essentially a Choong Man Chicken (Korean fried chicken chain) with some other Korean food options including soft tofu stew, which my wife ordered. They also sell ice cream and offer espresso (as in the establishment name?). There is no other Korean restaurant in Williamsburg, so this was where we went to get our fix. Choong Man's brand is pretty well known, although not as recognizable as some other KFC chains in the northern part of VA. It's very good, though ordering is a little different than other franchises. Regarding the soon dubu, I actually liked it. My wife, who ordered it, didn't as much. There is very little banchan, so it's not a full Korean meal. The chicken is good, though the pieces had a little too much batter. I also opted for the spicy garlic, but I think I will stay with the soy garlic in the future.

Long have I been waiting for a good Korean fried chicken joint to join the Williamsburg dining scene. Bonanza hits my expectations and goes above and beyond. Tucked away next to Amiraj (another great dining option) and Earthfare, Bonanza was not what I expected it to be. Walking in, I was surprised at how much space there was to the restaurant. I would describe it as a mix between restaurant and fast-casual eatery. I ordered the spicy garlic tenders and they were divine. They had a perfect crisp to them and were drenched in sauce. A lot of times chicken can have not enough sauce but Bonanza does it right and really sauces it up. The chicken was 10/10. They also seemed to have an extensive bar option with unique drinks. I will 100% be coming back to both try more chicken and grab a couple drinks. I can't wait to show my friends!

Excellent service, fresh made to order food. Everything was fantastic. Only complaint is that they only have mochi donuts on the weekends. Can't wait to go back.

What a hidden GEM! While vacationing, we were disappointed by some of the casual options and opted for none other than Korean fried chicken. We were surprised to see that CM chicken was here, but then again, as the fastest growing Korean fried chicken chain in the DMV area, should not have been surprised. What was surprising was how solid every dish was. The owner was so kind to make the kimbap himself and the tteokbokki hit the spot as well! I really wish this place was open 7 days a week but between COVID concerns and staffing, I understand the limited ability. But service (5/5), food/taste (5/5) makes up for the casual ambiance (3.5/5) and the authentic comfort food hit it out of the park. Thank you for making our trip!

This review is only for the wings. Yes...go get them. They are crunchy, flavorful and unlike traditional wings at the neighborhood wings joint. The spicy garlic was the winner out of the two we ordered and I find myself salivating as I reminisce. There is an long wait as they are short staffed so be prepared to wait and bring your patience.

Very small beef potstickers $6.50. No special sauce, only 1 soy sauce packet

The place was empty at 3pm on a weekday. Some prices are actually higher than what is shown on their menu (i.e. fried potstickers). They need to update that. The guy with the glasses was very awkward and couldn't answer any questions about the food, ordering, dining, etc. We ordered the very small 4 piece beef potstickers $6.50, garlic soy wings $16 and the noodles with black bean sauce $14. The wings were our favorite but the potstickers were very small (no special sauce, only 1 packet of soy sauce) and the noodles really oily with not much flavor. I don't think we will be back.

They also came with fries or onion rings, funnel cake fries, and a drink of your choice. Two of the guys had the root beer and said it was pretty good. Now as for the dogs, the two guys that had the coneys were happy with them, although one was hoping for a little more spice from the chili, but it was by no means bad. The burnt ends dog was said to be pretty freaking good. As for the American dog, we'll that was a different story. It wasn't a bad dog, but it tasted like it had been boil cooked and not cooked on the griddle. Additionally, it wasn't really that warm. I guess warm is a good description for it. It would have been better if it was hot and you could see some cooking marks on it. Alas, it was and had neither. But again, it wasn't a bad dog, but it could have been much better. The onion rings were pretty tasty though, as were the funnel cake fries and crinkle cut fries. This night was Wednesday, so it was trivia night. At 6:30. At about 6:00 people really started to come in, and by 6:30, the place was packed. Guess trivia night is a big hit... The people working there were super friendly and you fealt as if they were happy to be there. I would have given it 5 stars, but tbe warm dog just brought my experience down a bit. But don't let that stop you from going there, because you'll probably have a good time with good food and good people.
