The variety here is one of a kind too, you can find things on this menu that you're just not getting anywhere else in the area, which keeps every visit feeling fresh. And a bar! A full bar at a chicken spot is a move I fully support. Customer service is basic, and the chicken is pretty good. It's very crispy and sweet. The fries were greasy and seemed old. I probably wouldn't order those again. My main gripe is that the chicken is super expensive, and food for one person will cost close to $20 or more. Depending on how hungry you are you may or may not have leftovers. My first visit included solid customer service, yummy wings and decent chicken fried rice. I got the yangnyeom sauce on the wings. The menu claims it is a Korean favorite. While I cannot validate that claim, it quickly became my favorite! It is a bit spicy and a bit sweet and a wonderful flavor. I also got fried rice with chicken. You get the choice of soy garlic or spicy and I opted for spicy. It was quite spicy, so an extra large glass of water was essential. The rice wasn't overly flavorful and it could have used something more than cucumbers to add to the taste. I added my own soy sauce to it and that improved the dish, but it is something I probably wouldn't order again. But the wings? Winner!!! read more

Poor management/customer service. Placed an online order Saturday at 5:45PM. Nothing crazy just chicken and some fried rice. Get there at the pickup time (6:10). The lady working there tells me it will be 8-10 more minutes. They are waiting on the rice. 20 minutes pass - still waiting. I ask about my order and the same lady tells me 10 more minutes. I've never had an issue at Bonchon! It's always clean, I get excellent service. I came on a Tuesday evening. I was immediately greeted by the gentleman at the register. Now don't laugh at me because I have teenage taste buds and I prefer the boneless wings. Lol! They are fried hard and good and meaty. Not too thin. And I got a garlic soy base. So good!! It also seemed a bit understaffed because the lady at the front was also my server but I could understand if business is slow. Ordered 8 wings, half Korean and the other half spicy with a side of fries. Was going to order a beer but I was told they no longer service alcohol. I don't know if this is an overall company thing or just this location but that was disappointing. It's a dependable option for Korean fried chicken. You can't go wrong with the classic soy garlic wings. I preferred the wings because the drumsticks are too large (think KFC/Popeyes size). The sauce to meat ratio is thrown off when the chicken is not smaller like a normal wings. This place is hit or miss, unfortunately. I ordered 8 boneless wings, a side of fried zucchini, and the donuts. Even though I placed my order online, I still had to wait at least 10 extra minutes past my pickup time. Despite waiting in the store, my chicken was cold--some pieces were warm, but others weren't. On top of that, the chicken wasn't sauced properly, so some pieces barely had any flavor. The pickled radish was gross, and the donuts were only half-covered in sugar and cinnamon. The fried zucchini was just okay. When I had Bonchon on Sunday (1/26), it was amazing--I was already planning my next visit. But my experience before that was also a miss, which makes me feel like consistency is an issue. For the price, even with the lunch specials, it's disappointing that it's so hit or miss. read more

Tried Bonchon for the first time this past weekend. It DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I ordered online and selected Curbside Pickup. Everything was smooth with picking up the order and the food was prepared timely. Now let's get into some dishes: Fried Chicken- Okay, Korean fried chicken is the truth! I've never had any doubt but it was confirmed. Crispy without being overdone and flavorful without being too salty. I ordered a combo (half plain, half soy garlic) as well as the strips (half spicy, half sweet chili). Going forward, wings and drums it is! With regard to flavor, plain is very plain and a good option for someone sensitive to spice. Spicy wasn't too spicy for me (I love spice!) but others in my family found it a bit too spicy. Sweet chili spice was just right and soy garlic had a wonderful flavor, not too salty and not too sweet. Shrimp Sumai- It was good but not great. The taste was not bad at all but there was no wow factor. Fried rice- Yum yum yum! Flavorful and again not greasy or overcooked. Bulgogi- Another winning dish. Nice tender ribeye beef and great flavor. Japchae- The Japchae was by far the star dish. My entire family loved it. Tasty, filling, and wonderful. For a first visit, it was stellar. Bonchon definitely took me by surprise. My husband and I decide to pick a random spot we hadn't tried in our area one night for dinner and I must say we weren't disappointed. We were throughly empresses by the quality and freshness of the food and presentation. The customer service/ cashier was very knowledgeable of menu selections which made our almost impossible decision making process fairly easy (we can almost never come to a quick decision lol). Everything was good and hot, not thrown together and very flavorful. The ambiance of this establishment is very quiet and clean which is always top on my list before dining. We were in the mood for some good chicken so decided to stop here. We were disappointed to find out that this location did not have a full bar like other locations. This location only had beer and wine so we stuff with two waters with lemon. We got the medium bone in wing combo with mild and spicy with an order of fries. We originally wanted onion rings but they were sold out which was a bummer. The overall ambiance did not give me sit down restaurant vibes. Half of the restaurant was sectioned off, I'm assuming that's how it's been since the pandemic. They only had 5-6 actual tables. When I went to use the restroom there was a ton of paper supplies leading to the back. It more so reminded me of a carryout that had some tables on the side.
