I have been using this service for two years now. My lawn looks pretty good although I have seen…read morebetter. This is an excerpt from the Trugreen website: "Every yard is different -- and sometimes proper mowing and watering isn't enough. Our PhD-certified specialists will evaluate your lawn and design a tailored approach based on its climate, grass type, soil condition and usage to give it exactly what it needs at the right time -- and it's all backed by our Healthy Lawn Guarantee." Well sort of I would say. They spray for weeds and fertilize based upon the season. It is generic and they repeat the same routine every year. The problem for me is every year is different and has different needs. Some years it rains frequently and perhaps fungus is a problem or one year there is a drought and there is heat stress. I am not a grass expert and it is up to me to call and say I have a problem. I was expecting a "tailored approach" and that is not the service they have provided. I still have to supplement treatments myself. I still have nut sedge and it comes back every year. Last year I did ask for an additional treatment and this year they did it again without my request which cost $300. They are clearly not evaluating anything, and I am disappointed. I will keep the basic service as I feel it works pretty well, but I won't expect anything near exceptional service.
