I came for their tequila cocktail pairing event, "The Perfect Fit." There was plenty of parking, which made arriving easy. The event was scheduled to start at 6:30 PM, but it didn't actually begin until a little after 7:00 PM. Once everything got going though, the experience really picked up. The first course, the ceviche paired with the "Blazin' Britches" cocktail, was a great start and immediately let me know this 5-course experience was going to be something special. The food and drink pairings were creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented throughout the night. My favorite courses were definitely the earlier ones, especially the shrimp stack and cocktails. The atmosphere felt fun and social, and overall the event felt worth the price. There were only two things I personally was not a fan of: the sea bass and the Espresso-Chino cocktail. The sea bass just wasn't for me, and unfortunately two of my friends got sick after eating it, one that same night and the other the next day after reheating leftovers. I only had a small bite myself because I didn't really enjoy the taste. The Espresso-Chino was also very strong, and I couldn't finish it. Even with those issues, I would definitely come back for another pairing dinner or special event. My first time at a Bonefish chain restaurant. Dinner was a pleasant surprise. My wife and I shared the Ocean Mixed grill. It is a shareable dish. It came with mahi mahi, salmon, shrimp and tuna. The tuna comes rare. But we asked them to cook it. We don't eat rare food. When you choose the Ocean mix grill, it comes with a choice of a salad or soup. The dish also comes with your choice of two premium sides. My wife chose the fried cauliflower. It was very delicious. The way it was prepared it tasted like orange chicken. My choice was potatoes au gratin. It was too cheesy for my taste. We had two mocktails. We both had the Nojito. It was a yummy concoction because my wife actually liked it. She really not into mocktails. Lastly, we had a blueberry crème brûlée. It was a delicious dessert. I would definitely order that again. The dinning room was spacious. I liked the set up there are booth table on the side. With regular tables in the middle. I really like the fish door handle on the front door entrance. The Dish Examination Pan Asian Glazed Butter Fish The pan Asian glazed butter fish was good. A well-prepared piece of fish with a sweet and savory glaze, cooked properly and served with care. Butter fish is a rich, delicate cut, and the kitchen handled it well. No complaints on this dish. Shrimp and Tomato Pasta The shrimp and tomato pasta dish was solid. The shrimp were well-cooked, the tomato sauce had good flavor, and the pasta was properly done. A satisfying plate. Crab Cake The crab cake was good. Well-formed, with a respectable amount of crab meat and a golden sear. The food at Bonefish Grill, across the board, was good. No issues with the kitchen. The food was not the problem. The Service -- Now Here Come the Issues The food was good. Now here come the issues. The Famous Chef Thomas asked for a cappuccino. It is on the menu. They did not have it. Fine. He ordered an Earl Grey hot tea. They did not have it. He was then told they had coffee with milk. They did not have that either. The Famous Chef Thomas asked to speak to a manager. Someone came out to talk. Were they a manager? Who knows. She said they had coffee. It turned out that only decaf was available. The Famous Chef Thomas was fine with that. However, when the coffee arrived, there was no milk--just super strong black coffee. Who drinks that? This is not Green Acres. So finally, the Famous Chef Thomas settled for iced tea, which was acceptable. However, when he asked for a refill, he was told they had discarded the tea. Wait a minute. You close at 10 PM. It is a little after 9:30 PM. And you have no cappuccino. No regular coffee. No milk. And you discarded the iced tea. You would think that if you have nothing else left, you would at least save the tea until you close. That is basic restaurant management. Very disappointed is the Famous Chef Thomas. My cousin and I came here during one of those happy hour Monday deals to plan our family reunion, and we were so glad that we did! Not only did we leave with our plans completed, but full tummies and hard smiles too were present! I went to Bonefish Grill on a calm evening right after the DMV winter storm of 2026, and honestly, it was what I needed. The vibe inside was quiet, and cozy. It felt good to be somewhere peaceful after all that snow storm chaos. The service was really a highlight. Our server was kind, attentive, and actually knew the menu. I appreciated that he made real recommendations, including what not to get. He suggested skipping the ahi ahi tuna appetizer. The food was good overall. I love bonefish grill and this location is my most frequented. Their servers and bartenders are always friendly and attentive and the management team is usually very engaging assisting throughout the front of the house. The tables and bar top have always been clean during my visits but the drinks are the cocktails are poured inconsistently and their kitchen frequently overcooks things and my food isn't always as well presented as some of their other locations. They had a few specials that looked great. I ordered the shrimp stuffed with lobster. You got 6 stuffed shrimp, however the taste was very bland despite it having a lemon butter topping. She was working be herself tending to the bar customers and taking tables in the bar area. It was busy but she ensured she engage with every guest. She kept the bar clean and neat. His attitude was professional and pleasant with his customer service being a 10 out of 10! He attended to our request promptly and made sure everything was in order. (Only 1 hiccup with an item - "the taste was unsatisfactory & item was cold" but it was resolved with no issue) The cleanliness of the restuarant was a 10! Restrooms clean too! It was very difficult deciding what I wanted to have for the evening as their menu is perfectly crafted and has a variety of items to choose from and reasonably priced. For my sides I order asparagus (this is an up charge) and mashed potatoes. It was great that I was able to order a happy hour dink in the dining room. My martini was well balanced between flavor and liquor. My dinner companion ordered the creole pasta with grill salmon on top. There are other protein options to select from.
