My husband and I had a most enjoyable dinner at bonefish last night. The food was great as always and the drinks were perfect (the espresso martini is truly amazing!) but it was the waiter who made it so great. His name is Matthew B and he knows what his job is about. Went for a celebration dinner there were five of us. I ordered lobster Thermidor Mahi Mahi. The Mahi was covered with sauce and two very small pieces of lobster and the lump crabmeat was practically non existent. The flavor was very good but missed the lobster and crab. Another person on our party ordered filet medium well and it came out medium. She complained to the waitress and the Manager came over and tried to convince her that that was the way it was supposed to look. What happened to the customer is always right? After going back and forth she agreed to take it off the bill. Other dinners were fine. However, coffee came out Luke warm. Also waited forever for a water refill. my fiance and i went here a while ago because we had a gift certificate. quite frankly, nothing was really memorable about the place except the slow and kind of crappy service. we sat with dirty dishes in front of us for almost 20 minutes (!) before somebody came by and asked if we wanted the check. when i said we were actually thinking of dessert, my fiance shot me a look that said "we've been here long enough, i just want to get the hell out before we're stuck here without the bill for another 45 minutes." so we skipped dessert and left. eh, nothing special. read more

Usually love this place.... tonight wasn't so good. The problem was a mistake in the order. My husband ordered shrimp tacos and fish tacos were brought out by mistake. While we totally understand that mistakes are made...we didn't have a problem with that at all. But it took a very long time toi correct the mistake and bring him his food. I was done my meal by the time he got his and I am a slow eater. And while apologies were made I think that a show of good will should have been offered....either a small discount on the check or maybe a dessert. Not saying that we wouldn't try again....but it wasn't even that crowded for how long it took. read more

Deptford bonefish is worst location ever. Service sucks and there is a lack of management. I rave about bonefish to all my friends and brought 3 first timers. We walked out after an hour of no food or service and went to Outback. Stay away, this location will be out of business soon. So sad!!!! read more

I see mixed reviews for bone fish. The depford location is really good. The only negative is the service. Not horrible but 50/50. A last 2 times the waitress messed something up. Staff doesn't seemed to be well trained. But the food is really good. Haven't had a bad meal. read more

Now I grant you that handling a large party of 11 on Mothers Day can be challenging, but there are limits to one's patience. We had made a reservation weeks before and all arrived 20 minutes before our time. Despite this, we were not seated until 30 minutes after our reservation time, a total wait time of 50 minutes. Our very pleasant server created us promptly and water and drinks followed shortly. However after then taking our orders, we were left alone for another 30 minutes; no bread, no appetizers, nothing. Starving by then, we quickly ate them once they arrived, but had to wait another 30 minutes for our entrees to arrive. I will say that all the appetizers and entrees were delicious, except for house vegetable snow peas (the inedible tips of the snow peas were not cut off and they were undercooked). I think we may have ordered deserts but we were there too long and did not want to wait another 30 minutes. Smaller groups around us were getting served more quickly so I think we were just too many for them to handle. read more

Been to Bonefish Grill twice in the past few months. Food is really good, atmosphere is great for it being (near) the Deptford Mall.

This place used to be good..portions continue to get smaller while prices go up and service gets worse. Ordered to-go food last night that was a waste of money. Waited at the bar and the bartenders were very good,. Wish I could say the same for the guy working to- go or the older host lady who never seems to care about anything. My husband and I have dined at the Deptford Bone Fish numerous times. The food is just OK but the wait service is always friendly so we continue to patronize them. We visit probably 3-4 times per month. My last few visits I've not been satisfied with how the hostess' greet and seat. I prefer a booth and sometimes i call ahead to insure a booth. I think the hostess setup inefficient and inaccurate. After being passed over in line to register, i pass on ever dining at this location again. read more

My friend and I came in for brunch on Sunday and we both got sick that night, with what I am guessing was food poisoning. We both had ordered eggs benedict. The food came out rather quickly but the eggs were overcooked (basically hard-boiled eggs). When the waitress asked how everything was, my friend pointed out that the eggs were overcooked. They then took our plates right away without even asking if we wanted to order something else from the menu or have it taken off altogether. They just assumed we wanted them to remake it, which was not the case. Anyway, they brought our food back out with the eggs (which I suspect were) now under-cooked. They had put hot eggs over-top of our original food which was cold as ice underneath. Even the hollandaise sauce was cold and coagulated. I could barely finish my meal. We both ended up having to take off work the next day from being so sick. We will never be returning and recommend anyone looking for a place to eat to go elsewhere. I am still dealing with the aftermath of it all. read more

I want to start off by saying, this has always been one of our favorite restaurants but that is slowly changing. We visit the Deptford location often and on every wedding Anniversary, birthday, etc. Our last visit the reservation were made well in advance and we requested a booth because we were celebrating our Anniversary and wanted an intimate spot. They took us to a table in the middle of the floor, and I iterated that I requested a booth and would like one of the available ones. I was told they were reserved and wouldn't be available. I informed them that I also requested a booth weeks ago and was informed they couldn't accommodate, but yet they could for the other request. I finally requested a booth in the bar area. Now for the meal, our drinks and appetizer were good...no complains, but our entrees both came out cold (you could put your finger in the middle of the potatoes). We informed the waitress and she looked at us like we were crazy. She took them back and after a very short time were returned and still cold in the middle. After dinner, we order dessert and coffee. After a minute or so, we were informed there was no coffee tonight because the machine wasn't working correctly. We cancelled dessert since we couldn't enjoy it without coffee and went elsewhere. This was not the Anniversary I had planned, will I be going back...not sure. read more

Upon my arrival I almost left. Came in on Wednesday evening around 5:45. Normally wife and I like to sit at bar but it was packed. Asked for table for 2 and was told to follow hostess. She led us to table in middle of dining room on the end. We did not like the table and my wife asked for a booth. There was one open on the back wall. Hostess went back and told lady at hostess stand we wanted a booth. Heard her say she was holding that booth for six top, so they gave us a buzzer. Not a bad thing, however, the comments and tone displayed and heard by the lady at the hostess stand made me and my wife kinda irritated. I stood and watched as a booth opened up in the bar area. The back table still had not been sat. You now had more people waiting and seemed to be no sense of urgency by host staff to get empty table ready. Finally they did and we were sat, food and server were great. When we were leaving I noticed that the same booth on back wall only had a 2 top. Don't know why I had to wait 15 minutes when I could have sat in the booth. Also don't know why asking for a booth is a major crime. read more

Reservation was never logged so no table was ready. It was our special needs daughter 20th Birthday. Stuck us in a booth in the bar area. The order placed by my middle daughter dish came with lemon and butter and she ordered her salmon with lemon only. My ahi tuna was ordered medium and it was raw. Red and raw. 5 shrimp in my wife 18.00 dish. The guy who said he was the owner Dominick came over and said sorry about the mess up with the reservation but we all human was his response.. Poor attitude and for a 150.00 bill the orders were wrong and service stunk plus the guy who claims he was the owner had a poor attitude. Stay away from this place. Did not try to do anything to make it right instead we ate raw fish and they gave us wrong plates. Last time we will visit this chain EVER! My daughter who has down syndrome blamed herself for picking this restaurant and cried on her birthday, Had to explain it was not her fault because of the crappy treatment of the owner and staff at this poor establishment. A 30 year resident of this community I will make sure I never recommend this place. They should get another manager there as this guy attitude especially towards families and special need children is bad. read more

WOW, we had the BEST service we have had at ANY restaurant for YEARS. My husband and I were out visiting relatives in NJ and one of them commented on wanting to try out this restaurant. It wasn't until I went online to find their phone number and make a reservation, that I found out it is part of a chain. Renee M. was our waitress and she was old school good. She really took her time to explain the menu, our options and understand my food allergies. She made great suggestions (including ordering extra wine before Happy Hour closed) and no matter what, or whom, else might have needed her attention, she did not rush us. We got to talking with her (complimenting her on her level of service) and she explained how she used to work in silver service restaurants in NYC. Let me assure you...it showed. Renee is an asset to this restaurant, and if you go, try and get seated in her section. Also, I had the Baja Fish Tacos - DELICIOUS!! Healthy, and a pleasant change from heavy winter fare or holiday food. Go, not only for the food, but for Renee! read more

Mother's Day brunch was ruined. I made a reservation weeks prior, but our party still had to wait at least 20 minutes for our table. Okay...it's Mother's Day and the restaurant is moderately busy...no biggie. However, the service and the food were absolutely terrible. Our waitress was extremely inattentive and forgetful. She never even brought bread to our table. She repeatedly forgot our drink and food orders, and had to be continuosly reminded of everything. After finally placing our orders and waiting an extended amount of time, the manager comes over and apologizes for the delay, stating the kitchen was backed up. When our food finally came out it was so cold as if it had been sitting for a period of time. This is brunch! How dare you serve cold eggs!?! Some of the dishes were not as ordered and had to be sent back. Needless to say no one enjoyed their food and we all left disappointed and hungry. This was supposed to be a relaxing brunch experience for the mothers in our family, but turned out disastrous. read more

I gave them every chance. I really wanted to like them. From the minute I walked in to the time I left. The sticky stuff on device they give to call you to a table to a 20 minute wait for a reserved table in a half filled dining room. I have to admit the Bang Bang Shrimp was to die for, but we sent the Calamari Back as it was rubbery and inedible. No dressing on 2 salads and my Shrimp Fra Diablo so very salty. I was so upset as this was a birthday celebration, but my waitress Bobby was the highlight so hats off to her. She should have received the $150.00 check as it was not worth it. I did call and spoke to the manager and was invited to come back with two comps but...as I figured nothing came in the mail. I only accepted because I figured they deserved another chance. That was 3 weeks ago, which is why I am now writing this review. Should have read the reviews before we went. I wont be going back there thanks Casey (manager) but that spiel on the phone doesn't mean anything anymore. read more
