In the beginning Mr. Brungardt informed me that the Prosecutors did not have, "a leg to stand on."…read moreFor the first charge he did say there was a chance I would have to take that hit, but he would, "fight like hell," for me, the second charge was much worse, he promised me that there was, "no way in hell," that they could convict of that charge because it didn't meet the guidelines. I was told not to speak at the Trial because he knew his job well, and we would surely beat the charges, he has many years of experience, I trusted him, and I paid him. Mr. Brungardt did not meet with me before the trial to discuss anything, and when the Trial date arrived he didn't even tell my side of the story, much less try to defend me, I wrote him notes during the trial about things that the witnesses were saying that were untrue, he never even questioned them. He made no attempts at telling my story whatsoever, he didn't defend me, he didn't even try. I was found Guilty on both charges. I asked him how do I appeal, his response to me was that I couldn't appeal it. Oh Yeah, WATCH ME! At the very least I will be asking some serious questions to the Powers that be, that give him the power to ruin peoples lives, rather than telling me that he would win my case, he should have said No, and suggest that I go elsewhere, if he wasn't going to even try to perform the duty that he was paid for. Mr. Brungardt was very friendly and likable, as well as being convincing. It really saddens me to have to write this less than stellar review. If you are facing a very serious charge that you don't want on your record then I have to suggest that you look elsewhere for your Legal support. I would have had a better chance if I would have defended myself, or at least demanded to be heard, rather than silenced. Don't trust YOUR FUTURE to someone who doesn't care, and if you must hire someone, please use YOUR VOICE. Learn from my mistake, believe me, it will be with me the rest of my Lifetime.

Hugh McGavick was exactly who I needed for my case. I had an employment related legal situation,…read morewhere my employer changed what we had originally agreed to for my retention. Originally, a bonus for my retention through a specific date was agreed to. Upon my last day, they sent a separation agreement that did not include this bonus, and even included wording that if I sign the separation agreement, I would be waiving all claims, obligations, etc. with the company, and it even specifically included bonuses. I obviously was concerned about this, but the company refused to amend the agreement to include the bonus they had already agreed to, and told me they would pay it out after I signed the agreement... an agreement that made them not legally liable to do so. I've never needed legal aid before, so I had no idea where to start, but I was able to find Avvo, which led me to Hugh. After I contacted him, explained the situation, and paid for his services, he went after the company quickly. He made sure to gather from me all the information he needed, and presented the facts to the company in an organized and clear way within one day of payment. , Hugh also cited the laws and governing bodies for Washington they were potentially violating. As I am someone who knows nothing about this sort of thing, it really was helpful to know how employment and wage laws in Washington applied to me and my case.
