They also ran over our lawn with their truck, almost breaking our irrigation system. When they were supposedly working on the wall, one of the workers left our house for an hour, and while he was away, the other two workers spent most of their time looking at their smartphones. When I called the rep responsible for the work to express my displeasure he became obnoxious and laughed when I said I might not make the final payment. I told him I would make sure to tell all our neighbors to never hire them. I would never hire them again, nor agree to even let them come back to look at the wall. Very disrespectful folks, and below average work.

We live in Ryerss Hunt in West Chester, PA. Our house (and landscaping) is 17 years old and the…read morelandscaping needed an overhaul. We hired Froios to redo our landscaping around the entire house and to add lighting for our 85' long walkway from our driveway to our front door and to add subtle up-lighting to highlight new plantings and to shine on the house. We asked Nick Froios to develop the plan and provided our likes and dislikes. Nick came out to the house on his own to review our property and then requested a face to face visit to discuss the plan that he drew up. We walked around the entire house and discussed Nick's plan and Nick made tweaks to better suit our tastes. We were not sure about what to do with a large, oddly placed bed. Nick suggested we replace the bed with grass so that the landscaping against the house will be the focal point. We went ahead with this plan and we are really happy that Nick made this suggestion. We chose sod vs. seeding and the sod Nick used was beautiful. All of the beds had the existing, old mulch removed, all beds were thoroughly weeded, and all existing plants and their stumps were removed ; soil was added as needed and the beds were sprayed with a weed preventative. New plantings were installed by Nick and his team and the beds were mulched. River rock was used at various downspout areas to prevent runoff and also provide a neat decorative touch. One additional bed was created where we wanted some additional screening from our neighbor. We weren't sure how big the new bed should be ; we simply asked Nick to figure out what would look best and he came up with a plan on the spot and it looks fantastic - one of the best changes we made - thanks to Nick. We had 3 large rocks in our original landscaping ; 1 was left in place and 2 were moved to new spots by the crew where Nick suggested they should go. They look great in the new spots - one being the new bed described above. Regarding the lighting - Nick took the time to work with me to figure out where the best, most unobtrusive location would be to place the box that controls the lighting. By walking around the house together, we found a great spot for the box that would minimize anyone seeing the box and also minimize the exposed wiring. All wiring was properly buried. Nick had to pull up some of our brick pavers in order to implement the new lighting. Nick replaced the bricks and redid the sanding and grouting ... you can't tell he removed them and they are perfectly even. Nick's team started early and wrapped up around dinner time over the course of this project. They worked quietly and professionally - i.e. they were neat and kept the place cleaned up. Last day of the job, everything was cleaned up and our walkway and patio was cleaned up and swept. The entire process was collaborative ; Nick was easy to work with ; Nick had great suggestions most of which we incorporated into the plan. One of the best things I can say is simple - Nick listened and understood what we wanted and made sure we were happy. We are thrilled with our new landscaping and lighting and we are extremely pleased with the execution and implementation of Nick's plan by Nick and the Froios team.

They were also able to re-use some of my stone which brought the cost down a little. They had an entire retaining wall with new steps done in less than a week, and it looks great. They also honored another local company's offer to plant two memorial trees next to the walkway at no cost, which I very much appreciated. They will continue to be the first place I go to get quotes.
