I should have listened to her when she told me they 'forgot' to start the movie/previews until 20 minutes after it was supposed to start and the screen developed a dark frame and glitches before completely going black on them, forcing them to leave without finishing their movie. We went to see Moana and left 30 minutes in. Once the movie actually started, another lady sitting in the audience had to go tell them to turn the room lights off. I was really hoping that was the problem but it wasn't. The lighting of the movie was horrible, dark and unable to see detail in the movie, let alone tell people apart. I went to the front and asked them to look at and try to fix the lighting and definition but after another 10 minutes, nothing changed. that's when we decided to leave. We still want to watch the movie but not wasting the excitement of a new movie in dull color. I asked to talk to the manager and made sure I stood off to the side, not to involve the line of people waiting to buy tickets. The manager would not refund my money. He told me that the movie was fine and the same quality/color we'll see at another theater or on DVD. Moana is on an island, lots of water, lots of color...not at Republic Theater in Bellefontaine. I'm not one to write complaints but I want people to know what they are getting into when going to this location.

Then the credits turned off early and we had to get someone to turn them back on so we could see the end scene. We were going to let the staff know about the calibration issue after the movie since we didn't want to miss any of it but we couldn't find any staff. Here's hoping someone sees this review and fixes the projector so the next viewers have a better experience.

If you order something that isn't ready made they take your phone number and text you when it's ready, which is convenient. The restrooms need some major work. Toilets were broken. The water on the faucets barely trickled out to wash your hands. Our girls didn't even want to use them because they were pretty sketchy, but we had an hour long car ride home. Regardless of the shoddy bathroom, we had a great time!

Needed to kill some time after lunch and a museum visit the other day, and searched for museums…read morenearby. This came up (there is a Native American museum here too,) so I swung by. Glad I did. I wasn't sure what to expect- a museum out here? And a park? Turns out to be a sort of campground/family gathering place, with Native and pioneer villages, fishing, hiking, cabins, etc. It is owned by the Shawnee, who have bought back ancestral land. The museum is very cool- I only had time for a quick tour, but it covered tribes across the country, and has many tools, points, etc., which history buffs and kids will love. Sounds like they do school tours, Boy Scout visits, etc. The tours seem a bit expensive ($11 for the cavern, $9 for the museum) but are worth it. The cavern is big, and deep (130 feet down, I think.) Not for the faint of heart or claustrophobic. There are steep steps, slippery spots, and places you would not want to fall down. The guide was great, pointing out interesting features and telling relevant stories. She knows her stuff. It is cool, but I was in jeans and a short sleeve shirt and did fine. You might want a jacket. There is a little gift shop. Plan on spending an hour or two. I hope to get back. Right now they have discounted tours for the slow season (I think October to March.) In the summer it would be great for a family reunion, etc., with plenty of activities outside and the tour if you want some history (or want to cool off.)

I love all things horror and…read morehave a special place in my heart for Evil Dead, Army of Darkness, etc. I enjoy most musicals but a mix of Evil Dead and musicals.....I didn't know what to expect. Tickets were $17 each but I found a deal where you buy one get one free. Score! Found an equally nerdy friend of mine and we drug our husbands out to BFE for the show. Yes, you read right: BFE. When you finally get there, you take this dirt road way out into the woods, park, get out and walk another long path even deeper into the woods. You turn a corner and a shack (box office and concession stand) appears. There are two porta-potties here, another path (roped off) and a wait area. The pot was gross, like make me wanna puke gross (hence part of the reason for the star deduction)....I have to admit though we were in the middle of nowhere and the sun heating the potty up all day is hard to manage. Concession stand had cold drinks and candy - cheap prices - no beer (other part of the reason). After awhile music starts playing and the roped off path is opened up so we can proceed deeper into the woods to the stage. They had a great setup back here. Awesome props. Awesome weird music selection prior to the show. Awesome casting (especially for Ash). The show was badass. It was hilarious, the cast could actually sing, tree rape scene was not excluded and they spewed blood and guts all over the audience! Even the back row was not safe! For some reason I did not expect the show to be so good - I was really pumped up about two scenes into it and stayed laughing and hollering, "Ew! Gross!" until the end. They even had a deadite dance number that was simply the shiz. In closing, if you are a bit on the weird side, this show is up your alley! Go see it! Although they provide you bug spray, you might wanna bring some and a small flashlight for the way back to the car.

Warren Harding (1865-1923) was the President from 1921 until his death in 1923. He was from Marion,…read moreOhio, where there is the presidential museum dedicated to his life work, as well as the house where he and his wife Florence lived. You start your tour from the museum, where you can purchase tickets for a tour to see the Harding House, if you have not done it already online. The tour is the only way you can see the Harding House, but you can also buy a ticket just to see the museum exhibits. The museum includes items, photos, and stories from the Harding era, of his campaign and of his funeral. Four U.S. presidents known for running front porch campaigns are James A. Garfield in 1880, Benjamin Harrison in 1888, William McKinley in 1896, and Warren G. Harding in 1920. And all of them were from Ohio. You start your guided house tour from the very porch from which Harding made his campaign speeches. The Hardings moved away from their Marion home when Warren Harding was elected President. Mrs. Florence Harding died only one year after her husband, and the house is preserved in the same condition when they left in 1921. Of the house tour I loved especially the dining room and the kitchen. Mr. Harding was a big connoisseur of waffles, especially when served with gravy, for his breakfast (you can see their original waffle grid in the kitchen). The kitchen has the Hardings' original ice box, which was used before fridges were invented. The second floor includes the bedrooms, as well as the first indoor bathroom built in a Marion house. What I found disappointing was that the tour guide said taking pictures inside the Harding House was not allowed. This is the first presidential house I have visited where they enforce no photography policy. Usually in every old house you can take as many photos as you wish, as long as you don't use flash. The gift shop was very modestly supplied, too. If you visit the museum and the house, make sure you also visit the Harding Tomb in Marion, where both Warren and Florence are buried. Being the last of the elaborate presidential tombs, it was dedicated in 1931 by President Herbert Hoover.
