Know that you can only use this credit toward half of used book purchases. That is totally OK with me as I will use it up soon. This space is a nook of older and first edition books, but not a great spot to find newer used reads. Most of the books are about Oklahoma and Native Americans. There are some smaller sections of science fiction, literature & classic children's books. Inside is well organized but you still feel like an explorer. It's the most precious little shop with floor to ceiling books. As the name and sign suggest, the head employee is Bear! The biggest, most precious dog you'll ever meet in a bookstore. He will be in shop greeting customers on occasion. Gabby does an amazing job keeping fabulous stock of books for any and all readers. I can ask her for a suggestion in any genre, and she can rattle off several. She hosts all sorts of events, local author book signings, book swaps, etc. She's SO personable and friendly. If there was ever a person absolutely meant to own a bookstore, it's Gabby & Bear. The prices are also incredible. You'll get a book for a quarter of the price at any big box store, and it very well could be brand new and fresh off the press. This shop is a much needed and much loved stop in Muskogee.
