I knew there was something wrong because that year I barely made 35k and still, I got discounted Federal and State taxes like crazy on my paychecks throughout 2018. In like around 30-45 minutes, after I brought all the paperwork Maya asked for, they filed 2019 and re-filed 2018. Today, I got a letter from the IRS finally giving the money they retained back! 3K (See picture attached)! This was the best news I have received since 2021 started.

Mark spent approximately 30 minutes with me, explaining how various expenses should be recorded in Quickbooks. Afterward, he sent me home with a list of documents he would need to file my taxes. I provided Mark with what he needed via email and he did not respond. I sent several follow-up emails asking if he could move forward with helping with our taxes. Mark NEVER responded. Once I realized that Mark would not be helpful, I requested TWICE that he return my documents I provided in our first meeting and he still NEVER RESPONDED. I see that his website is still running so I assume he is still running a business. His lack of communication with me is pathetic. I have taken my business to McGowan and Guntermann and they have been outstanding. I happily pay my accounting and tax bills to McGowan and Gunterman, not Mark Pasternak.
