I don't know if they ship out to stores struggling to get decent donations or what, but whatever it is- it's not helping this place. There's never a line- which I think says a lot when only 1 cashier is working and there never seems to be stocking of shelves while you are there. I've a pretty keen eye & not a tremendous amount of self control when it comes to thrift. I go all times of day and nothing. It seems like the same tired stuff and overpriced too. I can leave this store empty handed for months and that's not usually something I experience at thrift stores. At least the weird smell is gone that permeated the place when it first opened.

I stop by on Sunday late afternoons on my way home and it's as fast as hitting one extra red light. One block off touhy, you simply pull up and there's an overhang to protect from sun or rain. There are two lanes so I've rarely had to wait. When I pull up, immediately an employee comes out wheeling a cart and helps load my things into it. Then I'm on my way again. I've never had donations be this easy. I'm finally taking the time to write this review because as I was dropping off my mom's things last night, I accidentally kept my Irish cap and scarf on the donation bag and realized when I got home! Ack! They had sentimental value and I hadn't meant to donate them. I was concerned this would be circus getting them back. But I called immediately, spoke with an extremely diligent and gracious manager who found them within minutes (he said it helped that I called immediately). He said it happens all the time and he is just so grateful for people donating things and wants them tog et their things back in these situations. I drove back and retrieving my items was quite simple. Highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere to donate

Helping Hands Homeless Foundation is an amazing thing to have happened to those less fortunate. The…read morefounder and volunteers work hard to ensure no individual is left behind. They always ensure the less fortunate have a nice meal and essentials especially around the holidays. This foundation cares about what they do. I have worked with them a few times and the amount of effort and love they put into each event gives each individual HOPE. They matter and they are worth it. This foundation has taught me that and I am so honored to be a helping part of a foundation that wants to make a difference.
