I was greeted with a smile and was walked through their registration process. I then sat down with a recruiter who explained how a staffing agency works. How companies call them to do the advertising, recruiting and vetting of new employees. Then once they place you on a job and you do well, you then become a company employee after a probationary period. This company has a bunch of recruiters in different offices reviewing your profile and trying to make a good match for you. I was called with 2 possible jobs within the next three days. The first one wasn't enough hours so I passed. The second one sounds great and I have an interview with that company tomorrow. I am crossing my fingers- hope the company picks me! I wish I would have understood what staffing companies do a long time ago!

Whereas you might expect a luxury boutique to carry mostly tiny sizes, I was pleasantly surprised at their range of sizes, styles and prices. Not everything was super expensive, though there were very expensive pieces. Every corner is impeccably curated and filled with beautiful, thoughtful items. Laura of Pembroke is newly on my list of places to visit when I need a gift or want to buy something for myself (you know, for when you get in that mood of just wanting to buy something for yourself). I love that they are in Pinecrest and nestled near other wonderful spots. I bought a beautiful, glitzy necklace from the sale section that I cannot wait to wear. I'll be back!
