The store seemed nice inside, the product range was OK but I did find the selection of certain items, mainly male items such as the Bulldog Skincare range to be non-existent, the same could be said for gift-sets, which seemed non-existent again, both of which Boots nearby had an ample selection of. The store does have a Pharmacy which is useful, it is one of the few pharmacies within Liverpool One. 3* - Average store, selection could be much better and there is better nearby, but one of the better choices in the main part of Liverpool One.

Though it's always, always great to have these services offered for free and with very little judgement, so close to halls, she did take exception at having to sit in the 'Corner of Shame'; two green chairs surrounded by leaflets. Anyway, Corner of Shame aside, this Lloyds sells everything you'll ever need, and almost always has deals on bubble bath. I swear the whole time this was my local pharmacy, Herbal Essences were on BOGOFs. They also stock all the, er, flavours of dry shampoo. The staff are all helpful and knowledgeable, and will give great advice on the cold/flu remedies, as well as other non-prescription sutff. As far as prescriptions go, they are efficient and quick, and when I ran out of the pill in first year, and didn't have time to go to the doctor, they happily dispensed me another pack (though at a charge) on the strength of past prescriptions etc. I thought this was a really nice touch; and it shows how helpful and nice the staff are.

The selection in the store again seemed fine, I was able to get what I was looking for, but that was just a Lipton Iced Tea and cola. There are only manned checkouts here, I prefer a balance of both a staffed checkout and self-service, the latter is especially important for a travel environment where customers will be in a rush and I find this easier in general. PRO TIP: Use Boots' click-and-collect service to order your toiletries and other items here. If you allow enough time you can do this and avoid paying the inflated Airport prices. 3*

(It also opens at 6 during the week too, great to pop in on your commute!) The drinks and to-go food selection is okay but I do feel other places within the station including WHSmith, Marks and Spencer and the Co-op outside are better, however. It can get a little crowded at peak times, I do occasionally see warehouse boxes around the store too which makes this a little worse. If you're looking for a flu shot, this store as of writing has the best availability in the city centre with appointments most days compared to the Arndale/Market Street branch which would have had me waiting over two weeks, and Piccadilly Gardens which has over a weeks wait for an appointment after 4:30 pm (This is a seasonal thing remember!) The store has a good range of most products including medications, toiletries and health and beauty. The pricing is competitive, they also offer discounts for NHS staff and students, which is handy. The staff normally seem pretty friendly here, there is this one older lady who works here, I can't remember her name, but she is lovely and always eager to chat and is a credit to the Superdrug brand. There is a Pharmacy at the back of the store, which again is useful to pick up medications. Due to the pandemic, they are offering COVID testing and vaccinations here, I do find having the vaccination area at the front of the store, can lead to it being a little messy/confusing if you're going into the store to shop. The checkout area seems equally as messy, meaning if it is pretty busy, it could end up blocking part of the store, which is frustrating as it means awkwardly disrupting the queue in order to look at certain products. 4* - Pretty good Superdrug store despite a couple of flaws.
