They've got everything you'd expect for sale and the usual promotions on various things. They've got an advantage card kiosk to check your points and collect extra points coupons and a few make-up counters. The main thing they're lacking is a toilet or baby change area. Nearest one of those is along at the bus station.

Drugstores are like the pulse of the community. No. 7 stuff is SO EXPENSIVE in England. I bought a cleanser that was soap free and excellent but cost 8 POUNDS. I just went to Target yesterday and it cost $8. They keep giving out these 5 pound vouchers for No. 7 stuff. And I saw that they have a hand cream that is 5.50 pounds. Not too bad. Word of caution: if you suffer from seasonal allergies that causes itchy dry eyes and you plan on wearing contact lenses, bring US eyedrops because the Zaditor stuff I use is not over the counter in the UK. It's not even readily available by Rx.

Boots have also taken over Birminghams on Eastgate, which has a good range of high-end cosmetics such as Lancome. It's just a pity neither of them do Boots' fresh foods! The staff in Boots are friendly and most have been there for years, which is testament to their expertise and to Boots as an employer I suppose! The pharmacy staff also seem knowledgeable and helpful in both Boots and Birminghams.

This is a great store which has great offers and when used with the advantage card can save you loads. However it is a very small store and only sells essentials, unlike the larger stores that sell clothes, toys, gifts, etc. The store is all poorly laid out i think, the baby products are right down the far end, which is a nightmare to get to with a pram and as the aisles taper in you cant actually get round so have to reverse back out again. There is also only 1 till for the pharmacy side and 1 for the toiletries side which means the queues are often quite long.

The staff are usually very friendly... in fact there is one pharmacist that is really lovely and is always very helpful. I did take a star off because there is one pharmacist, I have personal experience and witnessed this with another customer, who does not make proper use of the consultation rooms that are provided when privacy should be considered. Other than that, the store is always clean and free of clutter in the aisles and I can usually get assistance fairly quickly.

Generally Boots is a chain with a great reputation and experience that you can trust…read more Unfortunately the Grantham branch does not seem to employ too many trained people on its pharmaceutical counter (I'm not talking about the bit manned by actual pharmacists where people get their prescriptions but the section next to it where you can buy over-the-counter medicines). Therefore any questions you ask about medications eg cold and flu tablets are met with a blank stare and a shrug. The level of expertise at the pharmaceutical counter in this store is not to the level I have come to expect of Boots in general. This shop would benefit from giving its frontline staff on this particular counter better training as many people using this service have genuine concerns and require proper advice.

From clothes and shoes to electrical goods and DVDs all cheaper than high street prices. I recommend checking the Factory Shop out for Aftershave and Perfume bargins for christmas. As they motto states Big Brands, Big Products, Big Savings i think that says it all really. The only bad points that i can think of is that its packed with products - not suitable if you have a pram or pushchair, and the lack of car parking facilities outside the shop. The best bet is to park in the windmill car park and walk up to the Factory Shop.
