Aside from the pharmacy, there is a huge selection of soaps, skin care creams, cosmetics, tights, hair products, and snacks for special diets, to name but a few, and also lots of things which make nice gifts as well, like attractively packaged toiletries. A good electrical section too for hairdriers, razors, etc.

Friendly staff, nice bright shop. Boots offer an excellent range of baby products, and a trip in here is often in order if we're out with the babies and have forgotten something we may need- food, wipes, nappies, it's all there. It's also a chemist, and like all chemists leaves you waiting for quite a while before you get your items. At least this way, you can get some shopping whilst you're waiting.

Left a prescription on Saturday afternoon and was told I could collect it after mid-day on Monday…read more Apparently this was wrong and it wouldn't have been ready, but it was Tuesday when I went to collect. First they couldn't find the paper prescription - someone found it lying on top of a cupboard. Although the bag was sealed it was incomplete - the two boxes of eye drops I needed were missing - the prescription obviously had not been checked. After a search, one box was found. I pointed out for the gentleman serving me that this was wrong - there should be two - and staff concluded they had not ordered the right items. The manager wasn't in that day to complain to but staff thought she'd be in the next day! Eye drops, although important to me, are not a life or death item but next time their incompetence could have serious consequences. People should be told when a prescription actually WILL be available for collection, the correct items should be ordered, the prescription should be checked after being dispensed and it should be made ready to be picked up. This is shockingly bad.

This pharmacy is not so much a shop as a community service…read more Sian Retallick has cared for local people as their pharmacist for nearly twenty years and what a difference she has made. She offers assurance as well as medicine and is a real point of contact for concerned parents-especially those from Hyde Park School across the road. The pharmacy is often open on Sundays and after hours and carries a huge range of products as well as dispensing medicines. This is one of I believe three pharmacies owned by Sian -and what an asset she is to Plymouth.

I wouldn't buy anything like shampoo or general bits in here as its so much more expensive than elsewhere but its great for pressies and sometimes there are excellent deals like the post christmas 75% off gift sets sale and the vouchers they give you at the till - i.e. the current one is £5 off rubie and millie and no 7 products. Also the pharmacy in this store is very good and the counter people are well trained to offer solutions to your medical problems so that you don't have to take the time out to hassle a doctor. Overall good but expensive.

I…read moredon't know why but it is so much cheaper than boots next door and the service is exactly the same - in fact I'd say they're more friendly in superdrug. They don't have a loyalty card though which is a disadvantage as you get 4p in points to the pound on the boots advantage card. I always go to superdrug to pick up bits like hair elastics, shampoos, and bits and pieces of top-up makeup like lip gloss, and the prices are comparable to the supermarket which is quite rare on the high street these days.
Subject: Praise for New Pharmacist at Tesco Extra Pharmacy Pool Redruth…read more I am writing to share some very positive feedback following a visit to Tesco extra pharmacy in Pool Redruth today. We brought our daughter in as she has been suffering with a cold and cough, and this morning she woke up complaining of a sore ear. We were understandably concerned, so we visited the pharmacy for advice. The pharmacist who assisted us, who we understand has recently started, provided truly exceptional care. She took the time to thoroughly assess our daughter and was incredibly gentle, patient, and reassuring throughout. Her calm and caring manner immediately put our daughter at ease, which made the whole experience much less stressful for her and for us as parents. Following her assessment, our daughter required antibiotic ear drops, and everything was explained to us clearly and professionally. In what we know are very busy and demanding times, the level of attention, compassion, and care she showed went above and beyond. We have never experienced this level of service before, and it certainly did not go unnoticed. We felt it was important to highlight this to someone higher up, as she truly deserves recognition for the high standard of care she provides. We are extremely grateful for the support she gave our daughter and wanted to ensure her hard work is acknowledged and praised. Kind regards, Lucy Pearson
