Phoned the dudes at Green Flag and their local contractor, these guys, was on the scene within the hour. They hauled the jalopy back to their garage in quick time and had it fixed within a day at a well reasonable cost. Great and friendly service from all involved, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again... Although ah hope ah don't huv tae...;)

Broke down on the Edinburgh City Bypass early this morning. Called my recovery service around 7am…read moreand told someone would be with me within the hour. It was freezing and the traffic was racing by not a nice place to be. Anyway they arrived within 15minutes I was so happy to see him. The guy was brilliant checked my car, I asked him if you could take it to the garage which was no problem. Ram was the recovery driver and he was so friendly and put me at ease, told me to sit in the cab as I was freezing and bit overwelmed with all this. I have never used this service before but these guys were fantastic, everyone should make sure that Robert W Brownlie is their breakdown service.

I ordered two tires off Blackcircles online to be fitted here, rang up on the morning after I…read moreplaced my order to check the time I could come down after booking an AM fitting, the guy who answered the phone was so rude, turned around and said "Nah am fully booked till tuesday", I said, "I booked it online with Blackcircles for Thursday", his reply was "Nah av declined the job", I turned around and said "Oh right, so do I have to ring them?", he goes "Aye" and then hung up. I don't care if you don't have a lot of time or if you're busy, customer service is customer service, if you're going to answer the phone, at least have the effort to be professional. Thought this was a very reputable garage, I guess not.

First time I booked a garage that is not one of the bigger chains. The owner and I agreed on a date to drop the car off at his premises. His working hours are very limited, which is not ideal when in full time employ. Anyway, we managed a time for the drop off, and because the place closed around 16.00 o left my car outside for service the next day. When collecting the car 3 days later, I noticed a massive dent at the front plus scratches. When I asked what happened, I did not get many answers and especially that there is nothing the garage can do. I did not get much support to get this sorted and all fault at the garage side was declined. Long story short, I would not necessarily recommend this garage based on the location, nor the aftercare. Although the service seemed to have been fine, you are risking lots more. The issue is that it's not the best area to leave your car and whilst you save on service costs you might need to pay for the repairs If the car would have been returned in the original state it would have been a 4 star.
