The staff always comes by and interacts with the kids and does their best to accommodate. This time to my surprise, the staff commented when my 9 year old asked for ketchup. I guess this is too fancy for such requests... The prawns appetizer was band, the atmosphere was stiff yet loud and the main dish (branzino) lacked flavor for an Italian restaurant. The wine list was indeed well equipped. My highlight was the desert, but not worth the hefty price tag at the end. Our family will not be coming back and we will not recommended it unless you wanna spend $$$$ for an average meal.

It was pretty average and lacked any kind of flavour. To be honest I can't remember what I had for starter that's how memorable it was. Rarely happens to me but in this case, it did. Dessert was also average. Wine menu here is good with some nice choices with a Michelin price. There was 7 of us at dinner and I think most of them were only slightly impressed with the meal, I was not alone ;-) I don't think I would spend my money here again. The staff were overwhelmingly friendly and attentive, rare & a nice change from the typical experience in Cologne. The waiters really knew their stuff & explained everything in vivid detail and made me feel so welcomed. They went out of their way to explain all the food and drinks. Most importantly, the food was superb! One of those rare instances that I felt transported back to a little taverna in Greece. The flavors played in my mouth, fresh and authentic Greek food. We ordered a grilled sea bass with risotto - the risotto was green with pesto and made with mushrooms and the fish was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. This seemed to be a popular choice, along with the steak, when I was being nosey at what other people were ordering. The meat was cooked perfectly and was covered in this sauce that my friend loves. I ordered a moussaka from the specials board. It came piping hot and although not as saucy as I would've normally liked it, it was very tasty! I also ordered a side of deep fried vegetables from the starter menu. The portion was a bit small here: three thin slices of courgette, two teeny slices of aubergine and a non spicy pepper. It was served with tsaziki but I really didn't need it as the veg was coated with fragrant garlic and beautifully seasoned! Mmm. Really nice and crispy too and not at all soggy! We were so full but my friends insisted that we had to get the mix platter of desserts for €15. This was a bit steep. The Grilled Plate had round French fries which were really delicious, with a nicely cooked meat; the Schweine Spiss was a kabob with 3 pieces of well cooked meat, a small salad on the side, and good roasted potato; The Lachs Filet, salmon with red beet risotto "moat" around the fish, looked great and tasted great. The salmon was a nice thick filet, tender and flaky; the Weisser Spargel plate had Italian and Spanish cold meats and a Hollandaise sauce over the asparagus, which were long thick pieces and not over-cooked; the Lamm Schulter was cooked with a red wine sauce that was very enjoyable along with asparagus; and the dish I ordered, the Wolfsbarsch, Sea bass, was nicely presented and cooked, a deliciously sweet square of polenta cooked with the crème brule sauce, plus I ordered the Spargel soup, which was really good tho the asparagus pieces were a bit under-cooked; overall this meal wasn't too filling and I ate the polenta as desert, not too sweet, but didn't need any dessert after the meal.

We had the set menu which was the perfect combination of all their best dishes (definitely make sure to have the ravioli!) The food was top quality and presentation was beautiful, but the whole while you felt like you were sitting in a friends home enjoying a lovely meal with them. So comfortable. The staff was so helpful and really took pride in their work. You could tell that this restaurant is a passion for them all and not just a job. We really enjoyed the homemade coffee liquor they offered us at the end. It's not right in the centre of town so you are surrounded by locals, which must mean it's the real deal! We will definitely return if we go back to Cologne!
