I have been wanting to eat at this place for years. Every time we have visited the wait times were extensive. This year, it was our first stop. We arrived at 11:30 there was no wait . We had a party of 11. The server was prompt. Now the food is kinda pricey but that is to be expected as they mostly serve seafood. I ordered the catch if the day special. Red snapper blackened atop garlic mash potatoes with lemon butter. I subbed the vegetable for the bacon braised collared greens at an extra cost When I received my food, I was expecting an actual side of greens but it was about 2 tablespoons under the fish on top the potatoes The meal was 10/10! However for the cost, more greens should have been provided as I had a ton of potatoes The others ordered the fried seafood and it was really bland! The cheese cake was delicious I would go back but it isn't a place that I would just HAVE to go. read more

This restaurant was recommended by the tiki pub, Driver and one of my friends that has been to Destin. We went for lunch. There was no wait for a table. We got seated inside by the window.it had a great view of the harbor. For my meal, I had the summer salad and the catch of the day, which was a snapper. The summer salad came with berries and goat cheese. It was really good. I give it 10 out of 10. The fish portion was a good size. It was about $20 more to add fish. For my drink, I had the beautiful disaster. It wasn't sweet. You could definitely taste the liquor. Service was great. They have inside and outside seating. They have their own parking lot, but I can see how I can get very full when busy. They do have free valet parking. read more

My brother and I had a nice time and nice meal here on my last day in Destin!! It's a big place with great views of the water, boats and activity. Our server was super nice and the service itself was speedy. I looooove my food! I got a dozen raw oysters and they were HUGE!!! As a Florida girlie living in NC this was such a welcomed sight. Along with the low price. Oysters in NC are super expensive lol. I was in heaven eating these fresh caught oysters. It was one of my fav parts of the trip. I also had a yummy daiquiri and salad. This restaurant is so highly rated and now I completely understand why. It's that good! Honestly, this was the best meal I had during my trip to Destin. If I had to recommend just one place, it would be this one. Starting with the kids' meal, my daughter had, the chicken fingers were so delicious. I always try them and they're usually just okay, but these were actually great with incredible seasoning. My husband ordered the Bobo burger (yes, I tried everyone's food lol), and wow... it was out of this world. It was so good I almost wanted to swap meals with him! That said, my dish was amazing too, I got the catch of the day, and it was very interesting, it had tomato sauce mixed in there. Sadly I only got pictures of my meal. You'll just have to trust me! We came here with a group of 12 for a bachelorette trip and overall had a great experience. We were originally told the wait would be 1.5 to 2 hours, but we were pleasantly surprised to be seated in under an hour. We sat outside, enjoyed the live music, and the atmosphere was perfect for a group celebration. Service was quick and attentive, especially considering how busy they were. Food wise, the pimento cheese dip was unfortunately not a hit for our group. It had a very thick, almost paste like consistency and was difficult to spread. I also ordered the corn and crab bisque, and personally was not a fan of the sweeter flavor. For my meal, I ordered the summer salad and absolutely loved it. I finished every bite. Our server also highly recommended the first three fish options on the menu, and everyone who ordered fish completely cleaned their plates. Portion sizes were very generous. The only issue we had was the bride's steak being overcooked, but the manager personally came over, addressed it, and made sure everything was taken care of. First time here. What an AMAZING place. Hannah, our server, was phenomenal. We had the pan sautéed gulf snapper and the true Alabama feta cheese dip. Both, out of this world. Great seafood by the water! We were visiting the area during the off season so we were able to get seated right away. Our service was excellent, our server was training someone and she was definitely teaching the master class on service. In addition to great service all the food was excellent. We had the biggest oysters I've ever seen and they tasted great too, not too fishy and definitely fresh. Me and wife came here for lunch after seeing reviews on yelp. I'll start by saying we were not disappointed and if you could do half stars would probably be a 4.5. The wife got the fried shrimp basket which came with hand cut fries and coleslaw as well as a couple hush puppies. I went with the chicken yardbird sandwich which also came with fries. Both meals were definitely large. The sandwich was huge and the platter was also very large. The shrimp were delicious. I really liked the batter they were fried in. As far as the chicken sandwich absolutely delicious. We both also thought the fries were really good. We sat outside with nice views and the staff were top notch. We googled some good seafood restaurants to try while in town and stumbled upon Boshamps. Luckily we got there at a good time and were seated immediately and were able to sit outside and enjoy the views. From the appetizers to our main dishes, the food was top notch. It was served fresh and was very delicious. Our waitress was also very nice and friendly and offered us some great suggestions. The restaurant is fairly large with awesome views even if you are sitting inside. I would definitely go at a decent time because if I recall, they don't take reservations. So be prepared, just in case as they are constantly packed and busy. I would definitely recommend Boshamps and would be back soon. read more

Awesome locals spot with fresh takes on seafood and some non seafood options. Has a great outdoor area with live music and places for the kids to run around. The tuna dip was good and really simple and the grilled grouper was great. They were out of the special which was unfortunate, but they kept giving out the menu and then telling you it was out. Could have just not given the specials menu altogether. Place is really popular so if you go at peak times you're going to wait a really long time. We had a 2 hour wait. They have a valet service for free that could use some logistics support as it was really backed up, all in all glad to have tried it. read more

Hands down my favorite spot to eat anywhere around 30A. Even if it's an hour+ wait, go out back and hang in the sand, grab a beverage and enjoy the wait. The live music this last time was ON POINT too. Food is great. This place has it figured out for families. read more

My wife and I were in Florida for vacation and visited one of our favorite places to eat in Destin. Boshamps can be quite busy, so be prepared for parking challenges and for wait times. We hung out in the bar and ordered drinks and spin dip which was tasty. When we were called to our table, we ordered the Snapper Destin in order to split it. I am not a greens fan, but it worked in this dish. It was very tasty. After having an appetizer and an entre, we had to have cheesecake to finish the evening. Everything was really good and worth the trip. Our servers at the bar and main restaurant were very good. The restaurant is old school with lots of wood and nautical decor. They have an awesome view of the harbor. On our way out of the restaurant, we checked out the locked bourbon case and noticed the interesting bottle of Eagle Rare that the bartender offered shots of for several hundreds of dollars per shot. Maybe next time. Boshamps is worth the visit. We will be back. read more

The food was delicious. The service was great. The only issue I would say I had was that this was my first time going and I didn't realize there was a lunch menu and a dinner menu. I got there at 5 PM and was only given the lunch menu, I would have preferred to order off the dinner menu, but didn't have any idea. There was a difference. I just so happened to over hear the other waitress serving the table next to us that there was a difference. Other than that the food was amazing. I would definitely go back. Stopped by Boshamps for lunch on a Thursday in April, and it was a good mix of locals and vacationers. We sat outside, there was even a 15 minute wait, so had a beer at the bar. Bar tender was a nice fella. 15 minutes later they took us to our table, where we started with some gulf oysters. They had a variety of options for fish, including swordfish, snapper, and grouper. All of it was able to be made as a platter or a sandwich, and fried, grilled or blackened. I got the snapper sandwich, it was great and a lot of food. Enjoying that while sitting outside on the water with a beer in the sea breeze was great. Be comfortable with dogs, they are welcome at this restaurant. We need more dog friendly restaurants in this world. read more

We grabbed seats in the bar, enjoyed drinks, and ordered spinach dip and crab claws while we waited on our table. I was starving so I ate and didn't take any pics but they were both good. Food-five stars. Wait-1 star. Go at 4:00 or at 8:00. We went at 6:00 and waited 2 hours 45 minutes. There is a sand beach, docks, and a bad out back, but that was too long of a wait. The food hit it out of the park though. The fried green tomatoes appetizer was delicious, but I would get a second app if you are in a group of 6+ people. My husband and I both got the red snapper chef recommendation. It was the best meal I've had in a very long time. Our son got the filet and it was cooked perfectly. It's hard to find great food and service when you're on vacation. There's so many options and not knowing what reviews are real makes choosing something worth it difficult. We stumbled onto Boshamps by pure luck. The atmosphere was beyond what was expected. 3 tiers that overlook the golf and even on the hot day that it was, had a relaxing breeze. The food was top notch! We got the sautéed crab claws, grouper sandwich, chicken sandwich and sautéed red snapper entree. Absolutely everything was better than expected. I couldn't rave more about this place and the quality of food and service. Our server Dylan was friendly, knowledgable and very relaxed. All of our food was timed out perfectly especially for having a seating capacity of that size place. 10/10 Love this place and will definitely come back on our next trip to Destin. read more

Boshamps is definitely one of our favorite places we've eaten on the coast. We arrived at 4:30 and were quoted a 90 minute wait. We did wait every bit of that time. However - the wait was extremely pleasant with multiple bars available for cold drinks and even a sand area for my little one. The food was absolutely divine and came out very quickly despite a large party order. The service was excellent and the restaurant was beautiful, overlooking the water. Additionally, the free valet was coordinated beautifully and not having to worry about parking made the experience even better. We will definitely be back on our next visit! read more

Since it was just me, I sat at the bar outside. Great views. The bar staff was very friendly and helpful. I got the Shrimp and Gritcakes with crab appetizer. It was pretty good. Shrimp and crab were fresh. The grit cakes were a bit thick and dry to me. But they were good. I don't eat grouper so I was limited on the fish choices. I ordered the chicken with collard greens and smashed potatoes. Presentation was nice, everything tasted great. Pretty good collard greens too! Food was priced a bit high, but I know it's a tourist spot. It was very busy. Overall I'd go back if I wanted to drop some cash. I spent $80 with tip for a glass of wine, appetizer and entree. For a place this big serving what has to be well over a 100 plates per dinner service to hold up the quality level per plate that they do is really impressive. My wife had the pan roasted gulf grouper and I had "The Original" gulf snapper. Both were outstanding, creative, full flavor, and plated well. This is hands down the best food I've had in Destin. We always end our trip to Destin here, and I wouldn't want it any other way. To begin with, you will typically have a very long wait, BUT you can sit out back and listen to music and grab an appetizer. The time flies and they always have live music when we go on the weekends. It's so nice to sit outside and watch the boats and just relax. We ordered the oysters bienville and baked pimento cheese for our appetizers. The oysters were amazing, and I really like the baked pimento cheese. The cheese comes with toasted sourdough bread, and it's a great combo. My husband got the catch of the day and he chose blackened snapper. This was some of the best fish him and I have ever had. It tasted so fresh and was seasoned so well. The cheese grits were also really flavorful. I got the seared snapper with linguine, and this is my favorite dish here. The pasta has so much flavor and it's a great summer dish. My husband surprised the family and took us on a vacation and wanted us to try Boshamps. We didn't have a reservation, we highly recommend, so we waited a little over 2 hours for a table. In most cases, we wouldn't wait 2 hours but we enjoyed the fireworks outside and ordered drinks at the outside bar to kill time. We had a larger party but once seated we were able to place our order. Because it was close to closing, some of the items were no longer available which sucked but we made the best of it. Our waiter was okay, nothing to rave about. It consistently earns its place in top Destin dinner spots for all parties...families, individuals, even those patrons with doggie in tow. Those with dogs are welcomed in the outside bar area, where bartenders and servers provide 5-star service with a smile, quality recommendations, and engaging conversation. Began our dining with Calamari served with flavorful, light dipping sauce, and a perfect wedge with Honey bleu cheese-oh my!
