But for me, the highlight is the hand picked spirits selection. They have a unique variety of bourbons and Ryes (My favorites have been Elijah Craig, Woodford Reserve, Michter's, Fortuna, Found North, Fiddler, Representative) but also vodkas, gins, and more, all neatly organized and displayed. Top-Notch Service: What truly sets Boston Bottle apart is the exceptional service. Greg, the owner, is incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable. He's always happy to chat about different options and offer recommendations based on your preferences. If you're looking for a specific bottle, he'll go the extra mile to track it down within a few days if it's available. Fair Prices & Friendly Faces: I'm happy to report that Boston Bottle is not a place for price gouging. Their prices are fair and competitive, making it a great option for anyone looking for quality beverages without breaking the bank. And let's not forget Ken, who also works there! He helps keep things running smoothly when Greg can't be there and is just as friendly. Need mixers or non-alcoholic options? Look no further than Sidecar, which conveniently opened right next door in November! Went in to buy a bottle, left with an attitude. The fat bald guy behind the counter has the customer service skills of a parking ticket. I have hearing loss, and he told my pregnant fiancée that I "need to learn communication skills." Wicked classy. Plenty of liquor stores in Boston--I'd rather support literally any of the others. Wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy. read more

I hunt all over the country for bourbon and today was by far my worst experience at a liquor store. The individual working at Boston Bottle today didn't acknowledge me when I entered and when I asked about a specific bottle they had on their website, said, "did you look around the corner?" When I asked about a ladder or stool so I could check the top shelf, I was told one was not available. The individual working could not be bothered to look up from his phone to assist. Wish I could give negative stars. I would recommend you steer clear if you are looking for any semblance of service to go with your liquor shopping experience. read more

Wonderful little store. Carefully curated selection of wines and spirits. Not your typical mass produced products. Many hard to find small producers of wine and a great selection of Amari/bitters. I live in the North End and this place quickly became my wine pickup spot! They've got a great selection of wine, but they're so much more than that. Tons of hard alcohol, great seltzer collection, and the staff is always so kind and helpful. I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area! Great collection of wines and a very good collection of beers. All sorts of stuff going on here when I stopped in to check it out. I'm not a wine expert, so I spent my time looking through the beer coolers to find something different and I found it. A Maine-brewed IPA that looked good and tasted better. I doubt this is something I'd have caught in one of the bigger supermarkets, so I was glad that I stopped in. read more

Amazing quaint store close to our hotel and walking around. We came across this shop on our stay at Battery Wharf Hotel. This is solely for customer service. The guy working in there over the weekend not sure if he is the owner is beyond RUDE!! I had a few questions about some of the wines specifically the Italian wines. Before I finished my question he goes you gonna let me finish??? in a really condescending nasty manner. Not to mention It took him over 5 minutes to even greet us in the store not like it's a huge building he saw us walk in. I guess he didn't like us shopping while he was participating in a public wine tasting or didn't want us shopping there.BTW I did let him finish sorry I had a few questions. How disprectful this guy is. Regarding the wine there was a good selection very fairly priced. If you don't mind being treated with disrespect shop there if you want to be treated well there is another wine store close by with not as large of a selection. This is the most fun place to shop for wine or beer. They regularly hold tastings where distributors bring their favorites to taste, and tastings often become a social event for the neighborhood. Dan and Merry know their regulars by name, and they have a lot of regular customers. They select the best wines at a range of prices, so no matter what your budget is you will get the most for your dollar. And even though Dan takes pride in his beer, he still carries a gluten free beer so that those with allergies don't have to miss out. Even if you don't know about wine or beer, you will not be intimidated. Dan and Merry have developed a neighborhood hot spot, whether you came for a drink or conversation or both. LOVE this store. The owners & employees are always so friendly and helpful. I come in and let them know what I'm looking for and they always make great suggestions with prices that are not outrageous. They also have free tastings with 3 different wines on Friday nights from 5-8. They take it one step further and put out a spread of fabulous meats, cheeses, fruit, bread etc. to compliment the delicious wines. It is always less crowded than other popular wine shops in the North End since it's slightly off the beaten path -- but I highly recommend for locals & tourists! read more

I've found my new neighborhood wine shop! Some friends and I went to the Friday night wine tasting and we really had a blast. They couldn't have been more friendly or helpful as we tried the different wines, had a little bite, and got recommendations for the next time we came in. I live around the corner and feel really excited about starting to shop here regularly. You should too!! It's one block removed from Hanover, but take the extra minute and a half walk and you'll be really glad you did. read more

Recently started coming here for their craft beer selection. There are some great varieties of craft beers here, and Dan (the owner) does a tasting on Thursdays with some amazing and hard-to-get beers. This weeks tasting included multiple selections from Maine Beer Co (got to purchase one of these after looking for 'Another One' for quite a while), Foundation, and The Alchemist(!!!!) Dan and Mary are absolutely great, and I'm going to continue visiting each week to see some of the beers that come in. The wine selection is also fantastic! Really a great neighborhood beer and wine shop. Dan and Mary are awesome, always friendly, ready to help, and truly enjoy meeting you as people not just as customers. They do great beer and wine tastings in the shop too and often put out a nice plate of munchies. It's the little things too: there's usually a little bowl of candy out , they have dog biscuits for their four legged patrons and have no qualms about you bringing in your puppy to the store. It makes for a really pleasant and welcoming environment. Keep in mind it is a small shop. The selection might not be what you're used to in larger stores, but it is very well thought out. Especially with the beer, they may not always have the exact brand of beer youre looking for but I'll bet they can find you something you'll love. There's always an interesting brew that catches my eye when I go in. Definitely check it out. We go as often as we can and never leave disappointed. read more
