Either way, I had an incredible experience at Mosaic Boston. The worship was beautiful and NOT overdone/distracting, the speaker was intelligent and eloquent, and the people were chill. She loves: the fact that lesser-known, indie bands generally play here, and on both occasions that she's been, SHE'S TALKED TO THE BAND. *I used the same emphasis she did when telling me.* Because they're lesser-known bands, she's had mad photo-ops with them, and they've autographed her and her friend's shirts, too! *Rockin'.* She has also mentioned that the people at the door are always really nice, and that even though the church is small, the sound is great! The only negative, and reason for the 4 stars instead of 5, is that the bathrooms are "nasty, gross, smelly, disgusting, and have cobwebs." *Ewwww.* I love: that I can have the misguided illusion of it being a safer place for her to see her "favorite" band since it's a more intimate venue. *Dude, it's a church.* I also love that it's fairly easy to get to *especially when Dan's driving*, and that it's way cheaper than if we took her to a more mainstream show at a larger venue. *It was actually less than 35 bucks for the 2 girls' tickets and t-shirts for both of them. Again, rockin'.* I don't love: that it's a smaller venue where lesser-known, indie groups play that pose with her for pictures and sign her shirt. Guys in bands are bad. ;0)

It never has made me felt prouder to join a church. My favorite piece is they offer community supper to feed the less fortunate, have a 24/7 community fridge located outside the church, and accepts clothing donations; which proceeds help those in need and they have a throft shop with it. I'm not one typically enjoys going to churches or houses of worship, but the warmth, care, connection, fantastic singing, and more shifts away from services stuck in the past by 200-300+ in the ways they preach. For non-church people, those of the LGBT+ community, and those who have negatively been affected by religion in the past, or looking for a new spiritual beginning in life, this is a great place to try out.

They recently had a beer tasting after the Sunday 5:30 mass, which is excellent. They also have things like spaghetti dinners and theology on tap etc. They have a new deacon that is spearheading reaching out to boston college and community of st. ignatius. I think he's doing very well! I haven't attended the 11am mass, but I've gone many times to the 5:30pm mass. At this mass, the priests and deacons give good sermons, and people attending mass respond and are friendly. They open with greeting people and end with a good song. The music is very good -- they have about a 10 person choir and guitar,piano,harmonica etc. They sometimes have a choir leader with a guitar that looks like a spanish parlour guitar -- the music he leads/sings is really great. By far, after trying so many zombie-Catholic churches in the Boston area -- with people that aren't friendly and don't speak responses in church and priests that are "difficult to appreciate" as my refined southern mother says -- this church is one of the best if you're looking for catholic and community.

So the large round stained glass window over the doorway was placed in his memory. I love going inside where the family right up to my father and his relatives during the 1940's worshipped God.
