The staff are friendly but sometimes there can be a bit of a language barrier, if you are new to getting your nails done and don't know the process this can be a little daunting as their are instructions you must follow, in saying that, more savvy patrons will always lending a helping hand if need be. I've never had a pedicure here, but while I get my manicure I do notice the customers enjoying a pedicure savouring every moment, that includes a leg massage by the looks of it. ProfessioNAIL is clean, consistent and has skilled nail technicians, Kim is my personal favourite! I can't imagine you'd be let down, I trusted them to do my nails the day before my wedding.

The views are great from the restaurant, the food is fab and the service is good. What struck me the most was the general ambiance and cheerful nature of those who worked there. Something delightful! As we don't drink wine and part of the voucher included a free bottle of wine, they were more than accommodating and covered the cost of our drinks so that we got our money's worth. This was a very kind and selfless gesture and we were a tad shocked and very grateful. I highly recommend coming here for even just a day trip. I'd love to stay over one day though! It's a little oasis not too far from the city.

Located on Clear Mountain (as the name suggests) the lodge provides spectacular views of the Moreton Bay Region. They cater for corporate retreats, function and weddings and do a spectacular job. I have stayed here for a corporate retreat and have also attended a wedding - both experiences were wonderful. Great food and service, comfortable rooms and beautiful clean mountain air. A spa and vineyard also feature at the resort however I was not lucky enough to experience either. If you want a short trip away to re-energise and rejuvenate I highly recommend the Clear Mountain Lodge.

After a few weeks of high-stress, generally packed schedules and just dealing with LIFE (#firstworldproblems, am I right?) I booked my partner and I in for an afternoon of relaxation. Having visited Stephanies previously for one of our Yelp Elite Events, I knew just how restorative a visit to the mountains combined with the luxury spa experience Stephanies' provides would be. We arrived about 10 minutes early to ensure we were able to complete paperwork prior to our appointment. We were then shown to the change rooms where we entered comfort-mode in our fluffly, white robes. Our afternoon began with a steam therapy treatment which involves a lot of body scrub, mud masking and steam. I'd highly recommend it as starting point for your treatments as it was a great way to set my mind into relax mode and not "racing with a million thoughts an hour" mode. Following a quick return to the client lounge for a few more cups of berry tea and water we were taken to the couple's treatment room. Now, the Stephanies salon beds are unlike any you've ever rested upon. I was even more surprised when, upon indicating on my form I have lower back issues, my therapist adjusted my bed to elevate my knees and upper body (like a hospital bed) to ensure there was little strain on my lower back. Our treatments (him a massage, me a Thalgo facial) ran for maybe 45mins to 1 hour but it felt quite a bit longer. The facial itself was equal parts relaxing and reenergizing for my skin which was sporting the colour "Winter Dull". Stephanies is a true experience. It isn't the place, well at least not this location, for a quick last-minute treatment. It is worth taking the entire day and enjoying lunch upon the deck at the adjoining restaurant. Heck, take all the mountain air you can get!

This is exactly what she does at the Mountain Spa as it boasts six treatment suites, a triple treatment room, a VIP lounge and Bath suite (where you can soak in your bath of rose petals on the top floor admiring the view, before receiving all treatments with your partner on jumbsized heated massage beds), a steam therapy lounge (which is like being steamed up amongst the stars), a unique Hydro Swiss Shower room (so many shower heads, you do't need to move a muscle to get clean) and the spa is completed with a Sole Theraphy and manicure lounge plus a ladies gossip lounge as well so you can enjoy the finer things in life with you gal pals like the three cs champagne, cupcakes and chocolate in your fluffy robes whilst awaiting total bliss by spa. I personally received one of the best back and scalp massages that I have ever received at Stephanies, The quality of service is supreme and the personality of the staff is the upmost in hospitality, plus the german style massage table was great too by being larger than normal and having inbuilt heating! It was an amazing and aromatic experience. I would thoroughly recommend this retreat to everyone and have already starting plotting my return to this spa to sample further treatments from their extensive list.

If my usual hairdresser is not available, I have no hesitation with booking my appointment with another hairdresser there. A very resonably priced salon as well (how many places can say that in Brisbane!). Another thing I love about Tonsure is that they never over or double-book - I have the same hairdresser from start to finish and the well-trained apprentices to wash hair and observe the techniques without being in the way. It also has the added benefit of being right next to Dandelion and Driftwood!

I asked for a trim and then got it quite a lot shorter with some layers, she talked me through the whole thing and before cutting each layer she held it up and showed me exactly how short it would be, this was so perfect for me because she could see how nervous I was to be going shorter.. She did a fantastic job, I am thrilled with the style and length. Definitely found my new hairdresser! Plus affordable! The cut was only $20! (and there is a great op shop a few shops away!)
