The best thing about moving into my new house was realising there was a home spa straight across the road! And the promises of professional spa style treatments in a tranquil home setting did not disappoint! My adorable husband was the first to get me over there by surprising me with a 90 minute full body massage. Gotta love him! Lisa, the beauty therapist who owns and operates all of Botanique's services is a warm and welcoming person, down to earth and it's hard not to feel completely comfortable around her from the start. Lisa operates Botanique from home in a studio at the back of her main house. Clearly signed and with easy access, you simply ring the doorbell on the gate and out pops Lisa! The studio is a professional get up and is certainly tranquil, you don't get any noise from other therapists or clients. It's just you, the beautiful aromas of essential oils and the lulling gentle music. Lisa is a gem at what she does, and considering I'm a jumpy ball of lead I was able to completely relax in the moment and let my pain and worries melt away. I could literally feel the tension leaving each section of my body as she went from my feet to my legs, back, shoulders, neck and arms and finally to my face and head. If it didn't feel so damn good I would certainly have fallen asleep but my body and mind ended up so relaxed it was like my mind was in a trance. As fantastic as my massage was the 90 minutes didn't absolutely fly by and although I was disappointed when time was up there wasn't one part of my body that needed more relaxing. I was in heaven. And she certainly has some of the best spa specials I've ever seen, from one hour full body massages for $40, to foot treatments, facials and other treatments at great prices I am always awed at how much cheaper Lisa is than some of the larger spa's.
