Excellent selection and prices. They're growing quickly and moving next door. They're extremely limited stock on certain drinks I was looking for (Opus wine, Eagle Rare whiskey, and Japanese whiskey), but had a ton of selection for general wine/liquor. Bottle King is located in the heart of a strip mall in Middletown on route 35 South. You can see that it has a very large wine selection upon entering the building. Tis the season and therefore the place was crowded and the sale items were nicely at eye level. I picked up some beer which I easily found and bid adieu. read more

I came today for some beverages. Bottle of Don Julio 1942 was advertised for a price. They scan it and ring me up a different price. I then inquired and they refused to honor the price we listed even though the advertised price and my okay with purchasing hundreds of dollars of other items due to their own error. I don't know why anyone would shop anywhere else. Their prices can't be beat. And I'm talking significantly lower prices than any other liquor store. I've been going there for years. They pretty much have anything you would ever need. I would say that the only department that I would like to see have a few more selections is tequila. Otherwise, they are awesome! read more

My first time here was on Saturday. I was immediately greeted by an awesome customer service rep named Billy. I have to say, I have been shopping around for prices for an upcoming party, and Bottle King has beat every price I was given. Along with their low prices, their sales people are so helpful. I was in there 3 times this week and each time, Billy came right over to help plan my party and give me the advice I needed to be sure I bought just what I needed. When I was checking out, Alexa and Luke were the cashiers and they were just as friendly as Billy. I plan on becoming a very loyal customer! read more

Good size liquor store with great selection and prices- make sure to sign up for the rewards card. Lots of craft beer to chose from which makes me a happy camper. It gets crowded around holidays and on weekends (surprise, surprise) but they seem to do a good job of keeping the place well staffed and well stocked. The one downside during these busy times is the parking lot, for which there is only one word: Clusterfuck. read more

My boyfriend was searching for McKenzie's Pumpkin Cider, and he saw that Bottle King had it. This is the closest liquor store that had it (and we live 30 mins away). I called the store to make sure they had it in stock around 5:30 yesterday, and they said they did. When we arrived around 7:30 that same day, we didn't see it on the shelves. One of the employees on the floor asked if we needed help, and we said we were looking for the McKenzie's. He asked us if we were the ones who called (and he wasn't even the person I spoke with on the phone). Even though he had no idea whether we were actually coming to the store after I called, he put a six pack away for us because it was the last one left. It was an incredibly thoughtful gesture!! Far and away the cheapest liquor store in all of Middletown and their selection is unrivaled. The staff is friendly enough and are always willing to help with whatever question or request you may have. It's a good idea to sign up for their "club card" since almost all of their best deals are reserved for club card members, but signup is free so there really is no good reason not to sign up. Along with beer, liquor, and wine Bottle King also sells a wide variety of accessories (glasses, wine bottle openers, bottle savers, etc...) which have saved me in many a tight spot. Be warned however, they usually close a bit early (9:30-9:45) and around the holidays it becomes a madhouse. read more
