The store has Chinese translations for most signage in and outside the store (It is in ChinaTown after all), but most of all provides a great range of beers, ciders, wines and spirits. The beverages in here are quite cheap, they always have a range that are stocked up in the aisle and presented with a great price. You can find a bottle of red or white for around %10, and usually have spirits 2 for $60. The staff are outstanding here, all very friendly and happy to help with any recommendations. Quite frequently there's a chipper young blonde behind the counter who has a laugh or two in her.

Dan Murphy Berwick is absolutely enormous and features every kind of alcohol conceivable. The thing I love about Dan's though is it bring new wine varieties to the mainstream without huge price tags attached. Dan's in Berwick features an enormous range of wines. There's something so loyal about going to the "little guys" and I feel a bit sorry for them but the prices were really good! They had specials galore when I went there and not on the cheap stuff but the expensive drinks. I ended up buying pear cider and I don't even like it that much but the deal was too good to say no. I also stocked up on some bottles of wine and bought a six-pack and now I get worried about how easily I'm convinced by a price tag. There's something a bit "old school" about a little bottle shop on it's own and I have a thing for supporting the "little people" so I'll be sure to go back there to stock up in a few weeks.

In fact this place has a huge selection to choose from, particularly craft beers, which generally grab my attention. When I first walked in first thing that struck me was how much space they have. They have walls and fridges lined with craft beer. It is such a wasteland for good craft beer out in the suburbs and the grape and grain have opened up a whole new option for people not in the city/inner suburbs. I browsed around for about 40min making my selections and trying to decide what to buy. The man who owns the shop (I have forgotten his name I'm embarrassed to say) was absolutely lovely and genuinely has a passion for craft beer and brining it to the people. He was telling me that when he first opened the shop that they didn't have one bottle of craft beer and now it is 35% of what they sell (out of all beer, wine, spirits). He was so kind and helped carry my box of beers out to my car. They are in the process of putting in a bar so that you can do growler fills and also so that you can have a beer whilst you browse. This will be a great addition to an already amazing shop. If you love craft beer you have to visit this shop. Be warned though your credit card will take a beating because you will not be able to pass up the beers they have on offer.
