Les myrtilles collées à la caissette en papier...Hummmm!!!
Someone in our group pretty much made a bread run here almost everyday. The baguettes and…read morecroissants here are wonderful, and that's what we had every morning--croissants, and slices of baguettes with cheese and påté, or apricot jam or nutella. And if needed, if we're out of bread for our evening meal, someone would make another bread run in the afternoon. With 12 people in the house, we needed a lot of bread just for one day. This place is also a patisserie, so it also sells eclairs, tarts and other sweets that would satisfy the sweet tooth. And attached to this place is a Salon de Thé, so you can have a rather nice afternoon tea here.

Aldi's is particularly good for fresh fruit and veggies, wine, spirits and beer, frozen desserts, and cheese. They had told me about the chocolate shop there and admittedly I was doubtful that their chocolates could beat another shop I frequently visit. I ate my words when I ate Aztek's chocolates. I have never had dark chocolate that was so smooth and creamy. There are a variety of fillings, many of which are locally sourced like Armagnac and saffron. The cost of a box of 40 bon bons was 1/4 of what I had been paying in a similar shop AND Aztek is closer. In addition to the chocolates, they have pastries, ice cream, crepes, specialty groceries, coffee, tea, and gourmet boxes. The gentleman that helped me was very kind and provided us each with a chocolate of our choosing to taste. I will become a regular here and can't wait to try each one of their delicious chocolates.

It was our first time there and had a difficult time choosing. I really appreciated seeing a pistachio tart, which is not common here. The filling and cream on top were incredible. We can't wait to go back to try some of the tartines for a quick and easy dinner. Ample parking and friend service. We will likely become regulars.
