We had…read moregone to several boulangeries in the neighborhood in the morning to pick up some baguette, but once we found this place, it was our morning and evening ritual. We would come in the morning for the fresh bread and pick up sandwiches on a few days for a picnic. We also bought wonderful desserts each evening and ended up bringing a box of various patisseries to a friends home for dinner. We all enjoyed them that we each had to take a sliver of each other's dessert. The shop owner is so friendly and has a beautiful smile when you enter the shop. I wish I could bring the shop home in my suitcase! Must try is the pistachio cream dessert and the citron or lemon dessert. I didn't try one pastry or bread that I didn't like there. On some days we even asked for a demi baguette (half) and they were so kind to cut us a loaf.

But you are here for dessert. It is entirely appropriate to get right down to business. The most basic is €0.90 (by French law, they must have one that's €1 or under), and they have some other versions like a nicer plain baguette, olive bread, multi seed bread, etc. As a bread specialist, they also do different sandwiches - mostly with various combinations of cheese and charcuterie. Salads and pastries are also available. I got a simple chicken breast salad, which was what I needed to detox from all the heavy meals we were having. With a salad, we got some of the basic baguette with it, which was already quite solid. However, we also got the tradicionale (the fancier one for €1.05), which was warm, straight out of the oven, crusty, and amazing. I would happily eat that baguette every day if I could. Prices on baguettes are very reasonable (I guess standard here but so cheap by American standards!) Cards accepted.
