The owner was, wisely, distributing free samples as we went by. We could not get back there fast enough when our tour was over. Back at this small shop, the gentleman told us that he and his wife make the chocolates and his brother-in-law designed the logo on the labels and tins. I love that this is a small, family operation. We bought truffles and they are delicious. We should have bought more! What else can I say? Tasty and the creamiest truffle centers you can imagine. These are a great treat and also make a nice gift (the truffles traveled well in their tin and were still fresh when we got home a week after purchase). I will be telling anyone I know who is visiting Heidelberg to go to this shop! I will beg them to bring me more truffles.
