Maine lobster pot pie
Sandra C.

Came for a birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. We had James as our server, professional and friendly. We had the Caesar salad, the Wagyu tartare --would not recommend, the oysters and clams were delicious. Onto dinner, the porterhouse steak for 2 perfectly cooked, Wagyu steak and shrimp, delicious and we enjoyed the Maine lobster pot pie, presentation was table side, nice chunks of lobster and a bit saucy for me but overall was good. The sides were delicious. Nice vibe for the place, service was excellent, drinks were spot on. Please note make sure you use the Central Park South entrance, we parked on 58th feet but the doors on 58th street are locked so had to walk around the block on a cold cold blustery night. Overall delicious check it out.

Visited during restaurant week for lunch. The service was lacking for a restaurant of this caliber. They were not busy at all but our server seemed preoccupied on her phone. The salmon was overcooked and dry but at least the salad was good. By the time the server came back my husband was already finished with his food and I didn't want to wait for another dish so we just paid and left.

14 oz NY strip

Grabbed a same-day reservation for a Saturday night after snagging last-minute tickets to a Carnegie hall show. While I actually didn't love the steak, everything else was amazing: + Bourbon steak martini + petite romaine Caesar + 14 oz NY strip + creamed spinach pop tart + Michael Mina's banana tarte tatin Martini, Caesar and spinach pop tart were all perfect. Also really liked the dessert. Complimentary fries trio in place of bread service was a nice touch (though they do charge for refills). Unfortunately, the steak was wayyyy too smoky - not good! Would try the tuna tartare next time. 4.5 stars.

Bourbon steak house is an amazing restaurant that has some of the best food in Manhattan. The Caesar salad was delicious. The bacon wrapped scallops, tomahawk steak, and the old fashion cocktail was amazing a bit pricey $$. Our waiter Dino was very good and knowledgeable about the menu and what to ordered. The ambiance is very romantic and classy definitely a must see to appreciate it. There's plenty of parking in the street and also parking lots. If you're looking to make a date night a memorable one definitely try this place out.

The only good think (napkin).

Food ok. Service - unavailable. Waited for 3 burgers for 45 minutes. We're not able to ask for more water as no one came outside to check if we are alive. Really bad experience.

This steak house is attached to a hotel right by Central Park. The inside is gorgeous, clean, sophisticated. I am not a steak person so I ordered the sea bass which was hardy, light and full of flavor. You have different options of bourbon which won't disappoint if you are into old fashions. For dessert get the banana tart, it has a citrus caramel that is to die for!! Our sever was also excellent too.

Steaks were excellent

The waitress Desirae and her team were excellent, the service and recommendations were top. Five Star

Craving steak, I stopped by the nearest steakhouse to my hotel, conveniently located right across from Central Park. From the bar, there's a great view of the park, although since I visited late in the evening, the view wasn't much of a highlight. The hosts were welcoming, and I was seated promptly. They offer a solid selection of bourbon cocktails, but I went with a classic Old Fashioned. For my meal, I ordered the Wagyu ribeye with half a lobster and a side of fries. The fries were excellent, and the lobster was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The ribeye, however, was just okay. It tasted more like a regular ribeye than a true Wagyu cut. While it had a nice char and was cooked medium, it didn't have that signature melt-in-your-mouth tenderness I've come to expect from Wagyu. Overall, the restaurant was good, but the steak didn't quite meet expectations. I'd still recommend it, just maybe try a different cut next time.

Marcella with the smoke machine.

Wonderful people and food. The Manager David was awesome and Marcella was a great waitress. Thanks to the chef, the steak was cooked perfectly and delicious. We had a great time overall.

NY strip and French fries

A fantastic dinner experience. The entire staff was excellent. Friendly hostesses to start, all table servers were on point. I feel like fine dining lately has been hit or miss in that category. The ambiance has a good vibe; you can hear the music but still have table conversation without yelling at each other. Everything we ordered tasted great. Steak was cooked as ordered, bacon wrapped scallops were yummy, and the wedge salad was soo good. I love that they serve a trio of French fries/sauces instead of bread. (The brioche bread on the menu sounded good but didn't get to try it). Would definitely come back and visit other locations.

Absolutely loved this place! What a great find. Amazing service and amazing food. The standouts were the lobster pasta and the ribeye. And the complimentary fries to start. The Caesar salad was also quite good. My husband enjoyed the bacon wrapped scallop with foie gras foam. I'd skip the crab claws. The banana dessert was good and fun to try but would try something else next time. Highly recommend!

Truffle Mac and Cheese

You like a New York steakhouse but with flair? If you do, this place is for you. There are so many steakhouses in New York which are solid, but this one puts some flair into the category and elevates to a different level. This is a steakhouse by Michael Mina...and if you have ever eaten at Aquas in Sam Francisco, then you know he is bringing it. Mina soars here. Steaks are awesome as usual but so are the seafood dishes. Rib Cap, filet and sea bream all great...but the truffle mac and cheese and crème brûlée cheesecake (I know it's cheese cake but trust me on this one) are amazing. So are the beignets with dipping sauces and I am not a desert guy so you know these are great. Ambience is upscale New York steak house with views of Central Park. Service is on point and great as well. Don't miss this steak house, it's really one of a kind in New York with some West Coast flair.

3 way Fries (3 different fries with 3 different dips)

We had such a wonderful experience thanks to the amazing staff! Jenny and Mark were incredibly accommodating, super friendly, and attentive throughout our entire visit. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and their positive energy really made a difference. Beatrice, the hostess, was also absolutely fantastic. She greeted us so warmly and helped set the tone for a truly special experience. Her kindness & energy made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. On top of the exceptional service, the food was absolutely spectacular. Every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared. Overall, the experience was outstanding, and it's clear this team genuinely cares about their guests. We'll definitely be coming back!

Any advice on appropriate attire for this location would be much appreciated?

I would say upscale casual or business casual. Saw both when I celebrated my 40th wedding anniversary on a Friday night.

What are the prices of menu?

As I walked in and saw just how swanky this place is I panicked - there was no way we could just walk in here without a reservation, right? But the hostess was, thankfully, so down to earth. I was straight up like hey I totally messed up and thought we could just walk in here, she was like you know what, let me see what we have. Lo and behold, she did have a table for us - as long as we were out in an hour and a half, which was just the right amount of time. Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. They gave out a complimentary nut mix that was also delicious. Service was swift and gracious. If you're looking for a spot to impress a date, this is it.

There's also seating on the second floor, perfect for couples or small groups. I tried two of their cocktails when I went. The first was the Eastern Julep, a delicious twist on a classic. The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. A bar seat eventually opened up but I was already on my second drink by then. Definitely make reservations if you're planning a visit!

The bar seating was plentiful and comfortable. There is plenty of space for people to stand behind the bar or a high top tables enjoying happy hour after work. If you go at 4:30 or 5, it's a bit calmer as the after work crowd trickles in. And as the evening went on, it started to get more and more packed, and it became a really lively vibe. After my friend left for another function, I stuck around a little bit longer for a little solo dinner. I had a glass of Prosecco off the happy hour menu followed by a dirty martini, and I did request to look at their full dinner menu because there was a couple items that I wanted to try. I wanted to try the duck Ragu and halloumi cheese, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the duck Ragu was very comforting. I highly recommend both dishes. I ended up chatting with a woman sitting next to me who happened to work with select apertivo, and next thing I know one of the bartenders handed me a lovely bright cocktail to try on the house. It was a refreshing bubbly Barlume spritz that I'll definitely have to get again next time. Overall, I had a really great time at Barlume. The service was excellent from the servers and the bartenders, and they were all very attentive, personable and friendly throughout the evening. I'll definitely be back for happy hour or dinner with friends!

It's been a minute since we'd dined out (life on the other side of having a kid has been DIFFERENT…read morey'all) so we decided to go check Barlume out. Did you know this is where the Beecher's used to be?! RIP, I miss their Mac n cheese.... the vibe is completely different now (think extravagant Mediterranean vibes, it's very instagram-mable with the beautiful bar area). I had made a reservation for 5:30 (again, life with a baby is very different)- we arrived early but the staff were very gracious and were able to get us seated. They seated us in a side alcove area where they had cushioned seating, which was very helpful. What we Ordered: Drinks: Barlume Spritz and Hibiscus Mule (N/A cocktail)- drinks were good, nothing too special but we appreciated the cute stirrers Appetizer: Halloumi- grilled halloumi with roasted eggplant puree. The saltiness of the halloumi went so well with the creaminess of the eggplant. (Baby liked the eggplant puree too hah) Entrees: Lobster Arrabiatta and Duck Ragu and Truffle Pizza. My husband got the lobster arrabiatta and was raving about how delicious it was. He said it was the perfect level of spice. My duck ragu was served with busiate (a corkscrew shaped pasta) which I thought 'trapped' the sauce perfectly so you get a nice saucy bite each time. Pasta was perfectly al dente- my one gripe is that I felt the duck ragu was a bit too salty, which even managed to overpower the tomato flavor. We shared the truffle pizza, which came topped off with stracciatella, porcini mushrooms and shaved truffles. I liked the porcini mushrooms on the pizza, this was a first for me. For dessert (which we had to gobble down quickly because baby was starting to get fussy) we got the pistachio cake. SAVE SPACE IN YOUR STOMACH FOR THIS ONE!!! This was my favorite in the whole meal, the kataifi gives it that wonderful crumbliness and it went soooo well with the mango sorbet that's served with it. Recommend for a nice dinner with friends or a cool place to grab drinks! 4.5 stars

We happened to be there watching Spain during the World Cup, so between the food, drinks, and cheering fans, it almost felt like we had been transported to Barcelona--minus the airfare. The service was friendly, relaxed, and refreshingly unhurried. We never felt rushed and were able to order at our own pace, which made the meal even more enjoyable. For the main course, the meatballs, chicken skewers, gambas al ajillo, and beef paella were all delicious. Honestly, every time a dish arrived, I thought, "Okay, this is my favorite," until the next one came out. The churros were the perfect ending--crispy, hot, and dangerously good when dipped into the thick, rich hot chocolate. They're the kind of dessert that makes you seriously consider ordering a second round... even when you're already full. Boqueria continues to be one of my favorite spots for great Spanish food, excellent happy hour, and a lively atmosphere. I'll definitely be back--and probably for those churros sooner than I should.

Bartender Juan was exceptional, and manager Andrii led by example with true hospitality. I initially had a seat that wasn't ideal, and without me saying a single word, they noticed. As soon as a better seat became available, they proactively offered to move me. That simple gesture spoke volumes about their awareness and commitment to guest experience.
