One of his best suggestions was to visit one cellar in Reims and the other in Épernay rather than staying in a single town. This allowed us to enjoy a scenic drive through the picturesque vineyards, visit the iconic Avenue de Champagne, and stop in Hautvillers, the charming village of Dom Pérignon, where we took in stunning views over the Marne Valley and the surrounding vineyards. Those thoughtful recommendations turned an already exciting day into an unforgettable experience. Stephane also recommended several lunch stop options, including Le Bellevue Restaurant & Bar inside the Royal Champagne Hotel in Champillon (which is the one we selected). This time I was dropping off a rental car at CDG and going back to Paris for my last night - - so naturally I booked LCAF. If you are starting from Terminal 2 E or F in CDG, there is a nice little waiting lounge on the ground level in between the two terminals. You can certainly purchase tickets there, but they have a few monitors to show the times of all the buses. Make sure you are at the stop when you need to be, cause the drivers do not wait long before they take off. Again, very comfortable & affordable airport transfers. Highly recommend!

In less than 30 minutes we were at Palais Garnier(opera house) in the heart of Paris. She elegantly led through the streets instilling all her knowledge of Paris and France. Janice sat me down with a cafe ole, and proceeded to inform me all about; neighborhoods, cafes, cabs, taxis, trains and the very important Paris metro system. Since my trip was to south she was in charge of getting me on to my train without fail, with threats of a national Rail Strike. My guide ensured me that I will get to my final destination and beyond. We first skyped with Sharon and Rich to plan out our trip, mainly to find the best out of the way places. We started the trip with a personal Airport pickup. Then we spent the next 4 days on some great private tours. First the Montmartre art & culture tour, then the Marais shopping tour (my wife designed her own perfume scent), then the Tuileries Waterlilies & Hot Chocolate Tour (love that Angelina's Hot Chocolate). But the best part though, was when Janice (a Jazz singer her self) took us on a custom Jazz music tour to the best out of the way Jazz venues, and gave us the low down on the Paris Jazz culture. We also wanted to to Marianne's private gallery tour, but the timing was not right. We'll do that one the next time, and probably the Cheese market tour, and (maybe) the 'Gotta Dance' tour. It was so fun to do on our first day in the city. You'll meet your guide and go over how to ride the segway / safety at their store location and then be taken out from there. While we were waiting for our driver to return from the previous tour, we chatted with the son of the owners and really loved hearing about the company and what they're up to. We saw so many cool things, and I think because it was just our family (not sure if it's typically group, but it worked out for this one to be just us) - but I think we could have had the tour really customized to us within reason too. We didn't feel like we would have changed one thing though! Our tour guide was so much fun and really knowledgeable about the city. He had great recommendations for us as well. We were given a bunch of time at the Eiffel Tower to take pics and loved it. And then the boat ride that it comes with - SOOOO cool! We did it the same night (would be fun to space it out to a different night too) and had the BEST time. Highly recommend, I'll do this again when I return!

This is when all the school kids were arriving. Luckily, we didn't really run into them because they weren't really at the exhibits. I guess they may have separate activity rooms for school trips. This science museum was pretty fun. I learned a few things and there were a good amount of interactive exhibits, including one social experiment, which I won't spoil for you. We spent about two hours there and pretty much explored the whole museum. Tip - the museum is a part of the Museum Pass. It's not quite in the city centre but only takes a quick 20-30 minute metro ride.

However, the booking was easy and a timeslot was available for the same day. We scheduled the tour for 10 AM on a Monday. Unfortunately, the time slot ended up not being available, but Laurent called and actually was able to fit us in for a more suitable time later that evening. Laurent was quick to respond to phone calls. We had a cooking class scheduled, and it ended at 5pm. Laurent showed up around 5:15, and my husband and I were giddy with glee. The car was impeccable. It was clean, shiny, and awesome. Laurent spent 10 minutes or so explaining how he was going to start the tour and he used a map to point out certain points and places in Paris. Our two hour tour was absolutely amazing. Laurent told us lots of French history, he took us to all the main touristy sites, and he actually took our pictures for us, too. He even used his iPhone editing skills for the photos! The tour was so personable and fantastic and my husband and I could not be more pleased. It was the highlight of our European vacation. Bundled in a blanket, under the lights of Paris, Abi drove us like the badass he is, and along the way gave us tips on where to eat, trivia about movie locations, and history you won't find in a tour book. My husband and I knew at some point that we were being treated to an experience that we wouldn't soon forget. Abi is cool dude who drives with a great respect for that beautiful car.
