Then they will threaten you if you leave an honest review. I believed all the positive reviews and it cost me. Don't make my mistake. Don't use Super Powers. Don't let Christian Lahore strong arm you. See what Christian did below? Trying to threaten me again by posting his lies and my name thinking he is outing me. Your shady business practices are NOT going to be allowed. You and Your mover ripped us off and then you threatened me to take down my honest review. Don't let it happen to you, people.

I booked them for a move in January and I'm super happy with how it went. They were scheduled to…read morestart at 10 but actually called at 9.15 to say they could come early, so we got a head start on it. The two movers that came were professional and moved quickly, and the whole thing was done within a couple of hours. There was some confusion about the deposit, which I thought would be applied to the final bill, but was actually a separate charge. This was explained to me before the work started, and since I'd budgeted to spend more than the initial estimate, it wasn't a big problem for me. Just be aware if you're booking that this is part of their process. Ultimately, I felt like the money I spent was worth it because it saved me a lot of time and stress, and that was my priority. I'd definitely use them again. Update: I actually did use them again, two years later. Happy to report that my experience was just as positive the second time. Gord and Seath were great, and it went really smoothly.

I found Victor at Real Estate Movers through Kijiji, less than a week before we needed to move…read morebecause the truck we had rented fell through. I was a bit worried because of the horror stories you read about movers who don't show up, who are careless with your things, who over-charge, etc. Victor put my mind at ease by allowing me to call him twice to confirm (see above worry about movers not showing up). On moving day two men and a 26-foot truck arrived on time as promised. And they worked their tails off -- wrapping everything even remotely fragile in blankets, loading the truck so nothing would shift-- all on a hot day and with stairs and some distance between apartment door and the street at both the old place and the new one. Dmitri, the lead mover, went out of his way to make the move run smoothly and did not leave until everything was set up to our satisfaction, including four-poster bed and plasma TV. As well, they took care to put everything in the correct room. The move took longer than expected (not their fault, ours for underestimating) so we did not have enough cash on hand at the end. I spoke to Victor then did a quick Interac e-transfer on my cel phone and it was all good. I would hire Real Estate Movers again and recommend them fully.

If a negative star was available in this review, it would have been chosen. I take reviews very…read moreseriously. I gave this company more than ample opportunity to rectify the situation but the office manager did not take advantage of this. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews plus investigated them on the Better Business Bureau's website before making my choice. As I mentioned in my emails, this move cost me much more than could have been anticipated. This was an intercity move going a short distance. I paid for 4 movers because I had big furniture and I was trying to anticipate their ability to manage everything in a safe way. A 24 hour window to make a claim is not sufficient and benefits the moving company only. During the move I had to tell the movers to take off shoes, to be careful of the floors, not to slide boxes across my wood furniture, not to slide the furniture on its side on the floor. I witnessed them dragging the top of my wooden desk across the floor of the truck but I could not run downstairs and outside before they had it placed in the truck. If you have time during a move to monitor all aspects, please use them. The damage I did catch in the 24 hours is being disputed. I received an offer of $75 to compensate the damage to a large wooden dresser full side panel. I'm disputing this because it was an arbitrary amount given without any wood service personnel looking at the piece. I was given 1 week to accept the one time offer which had been sent to the wrong email. The office manager did not refer to the contract for contact information. On the other hand, I was asked to refer to the contract when I asked how they came up with a compensation amount so that I can confirm their reasoning for compensation is valid. This is a common issue with this company. Also, a customer is not allowed to speak directly with the Claim Department (if there is one - office manager replied to my email to reject their $75 within 20 minutes with a reassessment and new offer of $100) If you have a simple move that should take less than two hours, their reviews appear to be good. If you're moving a household and you care about your furniture, keep searching. BTW, I tried offering constructive criticism to the office manager, but it was ignored and the issues went unaddressed. Also, I have had many moves in my lifetime and the only time I had this type of damage was with an out of country move - two items - fixed in three weeks - no hassle. The company took responsibility for the damage they caused. Not so in this case.

THINK TWICE BEFORE HIRING BIGSTEELBOX We took possession of…read moreour brand new home in September 2024 and had our BigSteelBox delivered on the same day. The driveway was damaged during delivery of the BigSteelBox caused by the deck of the truck, which was captured on video. bigsteelbox.com states that "the BigSteelBox doesn't actually make contact with your driveway at all. No contact means no damage!". This may be true but what they don't tell you is that the deck of the truck may make contact with the driveway and cause noticeable damage. We reached out to BigSteelBox and provided videos along with some photos of the damage. The manager came by the house to review the damage and mentioned that he would acquire some quotes to determine the repair cost. From what I can tell, he only received quotes for the application of a brush on patch. From the research I've done and discussions I've had with local concrete companies, I understand that a patch is only a temporary fix that would stand out from the rest of the driveway. I tried explaining this to the manager and said that we would not be satisfied with a brush on patch. Being a new driveway, we didn't think it was unreasonable to expect BigSteelBox to return the driveway to a reasonably new state that looked consistent and uniform. We provided a quote to the manager from a local company to have the driveway sandblasted and sealed which was less costly than having the damaged section of the driveway replaced. The manager came back with an offer of $600 to cover the cost of a brush on patch and would not consider any other options. As an analogy, if someone broke your window, would you be satisfied with a duct tape patch as the repair? I've also sent emails to feedback@bigsteelbox.com and admin@bigsteelbox.com to hopefully reach some kind of fair resolution but did not receive a reply. Needless to say, we are very disappointed with the customer service we received from BigSteelBox and hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else.
