Cheryl Abraham represented my ex-husband, Andrew Forman, in our divorce…read more Our financial mediation agreement was signed on 11/2/2016 and the divorce was finalized on 12/16/2016. So what am I complaining about? Well, the conditions in the financial mediation agreement were not fulfilled until today, 10/29/2017. This is one year minus three days to complete a simple, simple, very, very simple financial mediation agreement. In reality, the paperwork has just been sent to the judge for his approval, so this unpleasant mess may take longer than a year to resolve. My lawyer had to continually poke and prod them to fulfill their legal obligations, which added an additional $7000 to the cost of the divorce. My ex-husband is no doubt very satisfied with the service that Cheryl provided for him. He would give her 5 stars for her weasel-like approach to dragging out this financial settlement and preventing me from getting on with my life. By all means, use Cheryl if you want to see your family on welfare, collecting food stamps, and living in a homeless shelter or under the causeway. I AM WRITING THIS FOR THE OTHER PARTY IN THE DIVORCE, should they happen to look here while checking out their spouse's lawyer. For your own mental health, tell your lawyer about the way Cheryl Abraham operates and make sure he or she lets them know that this is unacceptable. Then call your lawyer once a month to remind him or her to call Cheryl and inquire as to why the financial settlement has not been completed. In hindsight, I wish I had asked when the financial settlement would be completed, and then refused to go through with the divorce until Cheryl could show that all the paperwork was done, up to the point where the divorce decree just had to be stapled onto the back and everything approved by the judge. I don't know if you can do this, but it's worth giving it a shot, because having to go on welfare, get food stamps and live under the causeway with your kids will just be adding more stress to the already stressful situation you are in.

My Realtor gave me the contact of an Attorney who works with clients in her office, named Jonathan Lack. Mr. Lack told me this tenant situation was beyond his scope of practice and referred me to Charles Kohler. I called Mr. Kohler that same day and left him a voice message with basic information about my needs. Mr. Kohler called me back within 2 hours. He asked me to explain more information about what was going on with the tenant. He listened to everything I said, without interrupting me, and then gave me all of my options and how he could help me with them. I decided to start with a certified letter to the tenants from Mr. Kohler. After the tenants non response , I called Mr. Kohler for more advise, and HE ANSWERED my call !! He explained more options about the next steps to take. I ended up having to call Mr. Kohler a few more times ( HE ANSWERED each time ! ) and he wrote a second letter to the tenants. Mr. Kohler only charged me for the Letters that he sent certified to the tenants' and never charged me for the time he took to speak with me on the phone. ( I was always very detailed and brief with my information on the phone to him. So maybe he appreciated that. ) In any event, attorneys usually charge for phone calls and other. And the fees for his letters were extremely reasonable and well worth it !!!!! My tenants' are no longer residing on my property. And Mr. Kohler told me to call him anytime if I need to or if I have any more threats from the tenants'.

I had already been driving for ten years prior to that. I was so lost, in so much pain, and had no idea what to do. So I did what my boyfriend told me to do and call Dan Newlin. My case was accepted by Karen Wasson, and she changed my life. I literally didn't know anything on what to do, my car was totaled, I felt totaled, physically and mentally, and she really made my process so easy. She walked me through every step, was there to answer all of my incessant and sometimes repetitive questions and reassured me that everything was going to be okay.
