Stopped in here for lunch with my daughter a little before noon on a Wednesday. We were the first ones there but it quickly filled up with the RTP crowd. I ordered the curry chicken special which was a curry chicken pho and daughter ordered the tofu pho bowl. The server mentioned the chicken curry was spicy when I ordered so I asked him how spicy. He pointed to the sriracha bottle and told me it was that spicy, which I can handle, so I ordered it. Our food came out quickly. The spice level was perfect on mine and the broth had a touch of sweetness, too. Daughter enjoyed her tofu bowl. One warning -- the lock on the bathroom doesn't work. I ordered food to go since it was going to start snowing and pho sound so good with the weather. I ended up ordering combination pho, shrimp and pork spring rolls and Thai iced tea. The pho was decent the broth wasn't as rich and flavorful the are a bit skimpy on the meats and toppings and the rice noodles were beyond over cooked to the point of mush so I did put many noodles in the broth. The spring rolls were also okay, it was missing so of the components that make the spring roll and it was off putting by using iceberg lettuce. The shrimp and pork is delicious though and the fish sauce did enhance the flavor. I have to say the best part of my meal is the Thai iced tea. It is so delicious and refreshing I wish I ordered an extra one. The staff is friendly and my order was ready in a good amount of time. The broth nice and piping hot. We didn't have a lot of pho options in the area so we picked this place. It's authentic I will say since other places have pho fused with other Asian noodle dishes. Service is friendly. The owner's son who was probably a teenager was hard-working. Their Vietnamese coffee is quite sweet and I had to send it back. And the owner was nice about it and she did make it stronger. Upon entering, I was the only customer. The older gentleman--who I believe is the owner--told me I could sit anywhere. I ordered a Thai Tea, spring rolls, and brisket pho. An older woman brought me water, and the gentleman took my order. The spring rolls were underwhelming--just shrimp wrapped and fried--with a watery sweet chili sauce lacking chili flakes and served in a very shallow portion. My pho arrived within minutes, but there was barely any brisket in it. Pho is one of my favorite dishes, and I've had it in many states and cities, but this was, unfortunately, the most disappointing. The standard toppings came (Thai basil, bean sprouts, jalapeños), but there were only two slices of jalapeño. When I politely asked the woman for more Thai basil and onion, she walked away without saying anything. I thought perhaps there was a language barrier, but the overall vibe from both staff members was unwelcoming. I felt like I was bothering them. As other customers arrived, I patiently waited before asking the gentleman again for the basil and onion--he seemed visibly annoyed. Neither of them ever checked on me or said thank you. I had to flag him down for a to-go container, and when I got to the counter, I had to ask for a bag as well. The entire experience felt uncomfortable and inhospitable, from start to finish. I left no tip--not out of malice, but because the service was simply not there. At one point in time this place was decent but over the 3 years I've lived in the area it's gone downhill and has become more of a ripoff over time. I know running a small family-owned business is hard and I definitely sympathize but there is also something to be said for quality and value. I was especially disappointed with my most recent visit. We paid $26 including tip for a $16 tiny kiddie sized bowl of pho (there is only one size available) and a $4.25 single spring roll cut in half. The flavor was mild and this place is worse in quality compared to most any other pho spot I've been to. Service was nonexistent they just drop off the food and then you go pay. My favorite pho place around me! It's located in an unassuming parking lot. You might not have paid any attention even if you drove past by it many many times. I never knew this place was off of S. Miami Blvd until I was looking for a pho place one day on Yelp. It's a small restaurant with no fancy frills, but I always enjoy the food I get from Bowl of Pho. I've tried many different dishes, and I loved every single dish I had from here. My latest favorite is Vermicelli Noodle Bowl with pork. I love the combination of cold noodles and veggies with warm pork on them. The sauce that it comes with makes the noodles brighter! You order from your table, but you pay at the cash register. They also sell random tiny snacks and toys at the register for you to purchase. I hope they continue to sell dank food because I'm not going anywhere!!! :) read more

The pho was 3 stars good, the overall experience was 2 stars. The restaurant has about 20 tables and including ours there were only 3 tables seated for dinner. This is a seat yourself establishment. There was a lady at the register on the phone speaking very loud. Between her and the lack of other patrons I felt I had to whisper to my dining companion lest everyone could hear me. After approx 5 minutes a man came from the kitchen to take our drink order. A few min later the lady from the register walked over to take our drink order as well. She was still on the phone and looked at us like this was an inconvenience for her. Several minutes later the lady returned with 2 half glasses of water, sat them down and walked off. A few minutes later the man came with water as well. He took those glasses to the 3rd table since we had water. We had to flag the man down to order. The pho came out quickly. A little under seasoned, but otherwise ok. The broth could have been hotter (temp not spice). After an hour at the table we had to waive down the man to get to go boxes. There were a few takeout orders while we were there. Overall, very slow service. Good, but not great pho. Clean but quiet restaurant. There is better pho to be had in the triangle. read more

This is one of my favorite comfort food spots. Plus it is in walking distance to where I live. The staff is very friendly and the food is very fresh. Any of the Pho or Vermicelli dishes are very good. The Spring Rolls are very good as well. If I'm in a rush and want to have a light bite, I grab a fews orders of the rolls. The only drawback I have is maybe the plastic plants because at some point they will be difficult to clean and will become dusty. BEWARE IF THE LADY IS IN THE COUNTER Check your billing twice. The lady on the counter is so arrogant and a fraud. She tried to charge extra amount of about $5 for a curry chicken noodle TOGO. When I questioned her she tried to confront "yes 0.75$ for tax" , it would be $15.75 or $16.00. I again questioned her and she threatened me of not giving me food. And she started insulting before other customers saying he's not willing to pay $2 extra. She generated two bills for the order. Still the Togo price is lesser than the second bill but I just stepped out. Management should check on this lady while she's on the counter or they may lose regular customers like me. read more

We have been venturing out on Fridays with my small group of friends hitting up restaurants that are open. Our old Pho place had closed, and we're not sure but it kind of looked like this might be the same folks, or a merger of some. Was happy to find them. While I normally get Pho during the winter, decided it's been too long since I've had some as I have yet to figure out how to make some that I like at home. I had the large bowl with sliced steak, the only difference post covid is they can't serve the meat and let you drop it in right now. Staff were great, I had the vietnamese spring rolls in rice paper and they were nicely put together and fresh. Hopefull that while the world comes back online that they stick around, close to the RTP campuses but not too far away that you can pop out for a quick lunch. read more

Plentiful, meaty and absolutely delicious, this could repeat if I ever turn this way again. Combo pho was great too. The flavor was missed as I don't think I've eaten Vietnamese in several years. It had been a long day of traveling and work. I was staying in a new unfamiliar area. I came across this place and immediately ordered an order to be delivered to the hotel I was staying at. It did not disappoint! Everything was packaged great and the pho was piping hot and fresh. Pho is hard to come across where I am from so when there is a chance I can get it,I definitely take advantage. Do yourself a favor and order some crab angels as well! The prices are very reasonable as well. I was not able to finish everything. The boba I ordered frozen, I didn't realize it was frozen but it was refreshing and paired nicely with my food. This is the 2nd time we've been here: The first time was okay, but this time, our experience feels like a ripoff. We ordered 2 Combination Beef Pho, 1 Summer rolls, Taro boba milktea, and just water. The Combination Beef pho had tripe last time but this time, it's gone. According to the menu, this cost us $16 each. Summer rolls cost $6 for 1 order if 2 pieces, and Taro boba drink cost $6. First of all, we had to call the lady, who we assume is the owner after waiting for 15 min after sitting. The food didn't take too long to be served, but when we were about to pay, we were surprised to see the bill was about $50. The first receipt did not break down the price so we asked to show us how it led to that amount: We were charged $17 each for the combination beef pho and around $1.50 each of the "bottled water" when in fact they were in glass. We were not informed that we would get charged for water, so this came as a surprise. The pho itself is nothing special - we've tried much better for the same price. Best pho I've ever had-- meat always tender, noodles always perfect, broth always exquisite (12 hour broth!); egg rolls, spring rolls, Thai rolls and shrimp rolls very different and equally delicious. We were in the area coming from Virginia and found this place on yelp. The pricing for the menu is pretty high compared to other Vietnamese restaurants but we figured it should be good. The inside looked nice compared to the outside of the building. But Immediately as we walked in the Owner was very rude, she started talking about me to one of her workers without knowing I'm Vietnamese. She said didn't like the way I smelled. So We decided that we should sit down on the other side of the restaurant where there were no customers. Looking around the silverware and all the utensils seem dirty and I kept, which worried me a little. It took her 15 minutes to come get my drink order, mind there being one other table that is just about finished eating. Meanwhile the whole time giving me dirty looks and shaking her head as she walks by. Then when she did come to take my order she stood 4 feet away to take my order. I placed my order in Vietnamese and to her surprise she explained herself. I replied in a very calm, polite manner with a smile and that it was okay. After the order she would continue to angrily place things down, tossed her pen, and started shoving the kitchen door harder. Which I understand how you feel but there is a way to go about it. You could've politely asked us to leave. So we had decided to leave because I'm not sure how my food will be handled. read more

I've been meaning to stop by "Bowl of Pho" for a while now. Instead of going to my "go-to" pho hot spot, I decided to venture off to try something different. I arrived after work around 6:00 p.m. I walked in and was seated immediately. There were only 3 other tables. It was quite a spacious restaurant. I was given a menu and my order was taken 15 minutes later. As an Asian American, I've noticed an issue that most Asian owned restaurant have and "Bowl of Pho" is guilty of it too. I'm pointing it out because I want to help the business. When it comes to customer service, they tend to be more attentive to other races. I practically sat watching the waitresses serve the other customers. The waitress finally came over to take my order. I ordered the special pho and fresh shrimp rolls. 5 minutes later, fried rice was brought over to me, I kindly declined and said that it wasn't my order. Another 5 minutes later, another the same waitress who took my order came back to ask for my order again. I waited another 10 minutes and my Pho came out. Where was my appetizer? I thought they had forgotten about it. Another 5 minutes later, my shrimp rolls came out. The shrimp rolls were dry and small for $4. It came with a peanut sauce the wasn't even enough to dip 2 rolls. The pho was bland and small for a $11-12 bowl of combination pho. There were a lot more broth than noodles and meat. The portion of the meat was small with a few pieces of meatballs, tripe, brisket, and tendon. I was still hungry after I ate it. Everything went wrong during this visit. Somewhere between 3.5/5 and 4/5 for a nearby lunch spot. My friends ordered pho and it came out in under 10 minutes. I ordered the Cambodian fried rice with tofu and it took about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, I noticed after I ordered that there were actually several messages written in chalk on the walls that say: "Fried dishes and sandwiches during peak hours may take longer. Thanks for your understanding." (We went at about 12:10pm.) Oh well. The fried rice was decent and I enjoyed the taste and texture of the tofu. Not as big of a portion as I was expecting for the price, but it was still within the range I would pay for. My friends enjoyed their pho. Service was good. As a Viet-nut, I'll travel far and wide for Vietnamese eats so count me as surprised when I found a SECOND VN restaurant right near my office. Bowl of Pho is just a couple of blocks down from Pho 9n9 but is a totally different experience, here's why. Located in a free-standing building, Bowl of Pho has a slightly more modern, decorated feel to the dining room which is long and narrow. Beer/wine specials on a board (woo-hoo!) and the usual menu of pho, banh mi and apps. I've tried their bun bo hue and pho, it's solid but the broth may not be quite as flavorful as Pho 9n9. Service is super-quick and nice, you can get out in 30 minutes for lunch. So if you're in the hood and want to try something different for Vietnamese, give Bowl of Pho a whirl. It's pretty similar to Pho 9n9 but less popular. You'll find very similar food here and some of the dishes may be better but I'd still have to give Pho 9n9 the edge in flavor and selection. read more

The food here is so flavorful. I got the rice noodle soup with tofu and even though it looked bland, it was actually seasoned so well and was very authentic. Some friends that I was with got the vermicelli bowls and those looked so fire, I'll definitely get that next time I come. The restaurant was very unassuming and low-key.
