My family and I visited this location for the first time on New Year's Day after taking over it's previous iteration, Brunswick Zone, from several years ago. What I hoped to be a happy memory for me ended up being one of frustration. My breakdown of the 2 stars - 1) my kids enjoyed their time here and 2) the customer service during the visit was good. The huge issue behind the low rating was being double charged and what I felt was the lack of urgency in getting it resolved. I ended up having to hound them for information as I was not getting the call backs that I requested. One of the managers that I spoke with did add me to his email to corporate for help in getting this resolved. After 7 days of making first contact, I finally received my refund of the erroneous double charge and wanted to leave my thoughts. When I'm out an extra $100+ that I did not authorize, I am going to hound until I get it back. This is not small change, not to me at least and I'm sure many folks, so the lack of urgency was irritating. I also feel like if I was not on top of this matter and pressuring corporate into acting, it would have taken a lot longer than 7 days for the refund. Please, CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT ASAP after visiting here. If I do return, everything will be paid for in cash since they have broken my trust in processing electronic payments correctly. Here's the deal. I arrived a little later than our party. I had no idea this had just happened. But the fact that it did makes matters worse. My in-laws arrived and tried to bring food into this bowling facility. When I heard about it, I thought, "why would dad try to bring food into a facility that sells food?" I was told to shut it and leave it alone. I was told that dad is upset because they won't let him bring food inside. That's just all the back story. HERE IS THE STORY: I thought, "well, I'm going to go get a drink at least." So, I walked to the bar they have there. When I arrived at the bar, there was a man behind the counter who I guess would have been the bartender. It was hard to tell though because he was just standing there talking to what I think was one of his friends at the bar stool. I waited. My parents taught me to be patient. Plus, if he is in the middle of helping this guy get a drink, that would be just rude of me to interrupt. So now I'm just standing there listening to these two chat up a storm for about a minute. 60 seconds and this guy hasn't noticed me. I didn't want my in-laws, who I thought might be leaving soon, think I had left the building. They had no idea I was at the bar trying to get a drink. So, I was starting to get a little impatient because the bartender is chatting up a storm with his buddy, the other person is also walking around cleaning up (good for them - at least they were working). Then, another employee walks up, I knew it was an employee because they were behind the counter, and that employee began talking to the other two about whatever fun stuff they had to discuss. I can tell you this, they weren't discussing helping anyone get a drink. They didn't even acknowledge me standing there. Still waiting. I didn't know what to do. I was the only person just standing there. Only one other customer at the bar and it looked like he already had a drink. So I did it. I did the thing that I think you all know we have to do nowadays in this s#!t @$$ economy. Businesses don't hire, nor do they ensure good customer service anymore. Not these kind of businesses. They know how to put the red tape up. They know how to tell you what you're not allowed to do. But they absolutely don't know how to look for nonverbals from a customer who clearly is waiting to be helped. I asked the man that walked up last, because i didn't want to interrupt the bartender and his story, "can i get something to drink?" The one I asked looked at the bartender with this look like, "what an idiot!" I waited to see if maybe that look he shot the bartender would get the bartender to jump into action. It didn't. The bartender just gave a look back at the other guy like "I'm not doing it." Remember, I just got here like three minutes ago. There is NO WAY these guys knew I had anything to do with my father-in-law and his little issue about the food. Plus, the bar is way off to the side in its little nook. The bartender couldn't have known. I mean, he was oblivious to me just standing there. How would he have even see the food thing happen way on the other side of the bowling alley. I gave them about 5 to 10 seconds. I waited long enough. I turned and walked away. Now, in a good business, one of them would have comment me down to tell me, 1.) "excuse me, sorry, did you want a drink?" Or 2.) "my apologies, we aren't open for drinks right now" Or 3.) or anything But they didn't. They just continued on like I was an annoyance in their night. I never got that drink I was hoping for. Here's the deal. The reason this place is trash is because their rules say you can't bring food into their facility. Totally get that. But it doesn't make sense in light of their employees will absolutely treat you like you're a second class citizen and refuse to even acknowledge you, let alone THEY WONT SERVE YOU DRINKS AT THE BAR of the place that you can't bring food or drinks into!! Choose one or the other. But don't tell people they can't bring in their sustenance and also not serve them. If I could, I'd get that little sticker you put on your truck back window of the dog peeing on Bolwlero. Btw, I will never bowl here again. I don't know who this place serves but it clearly won't serve me. read more

Bowlero Glendale is by far the newest and nicest bowling alley of the Bowlero/AMF family on the west side. With that, it's usually always busy. We purchased summer passes and have been trying out different locations. Lanes function well, finding a ball can be a challenge if it's very busy because people will leave them in lanes and ball returns but not be using them. We've tried out the food, pretty typical and as expected for a bowling alley. Nothing to knock your socks off and it's pretty slow. Nice selection of draft beer. Of course, it's all priced steeply. The staff in general is friendly and helpful, sometimes frazzled. They have a nice arcade. read more

I had booked a reservation for 2 lanes for a party of 8 paid in full and all. The day of the reservation myself and my child came down with Covid and had to cancel it. They refused to refund me my money when they could easily make back their money from walk ins. . I am upset due to our circumstances they were not able to refund any of our money and now asses out 200+ dollars. read more

I was able to make a reservation more than a week in advance by calling them. I just had to pay everything up front. Note that it is cheaper to rent lanes on a Sunday rather than a Saturday. The whole thing cost $180.75 so about $30 per person which is a 2 hour lane rental plus shoes. What I didn't know is that some of my friends have their own bowling shoes. When our party arrived, I tried to ask for a refund for the 3 bowling shoes (which is a total of $18), but at first, they wouldn't give it to us. They claimed they would only give us $18 of arcade credit or a pizza; both things we didn't want. We asked if we could just have a gift card to spend it on anything on the menu but they wouldn't even let us have that. Later on in the night, one of the managers gave all six of us a free game voucher instead which is worth more than what they were originally offering us. The only drawback is that we can't use all six of them at the same time. It feels like the lanes here are thinner than other places. They do have bumpers if that's your thing. They have a really neat offer of $22 for all you can drink alcohol for one hour. It was supposed to be $16.50 but they lied and charged us $22 per person instead. My friends were able to get 6 drinks of that which is an absolute bargain. It was such a bargain that the employees told them that their time was up even though it wasn't. The arcade is just full of kiddie games for the most part; no fighting games like Street Fighter or Tekken unfortunately. read more

Good ole Bowlero. You can always look forward to the manager Gary acting like a child. We bowl in a league on Sunday where we have a 50% chance of our lanes not working. You can forget trying to call the front desk for assistance from your lane when it's broken. The only result you'll get from trying to call for assistance is Gary literally throwing the phone since he can't multitask. This doesn't even include how we have watched him verbally abuse his employees multiple times or blame things on them that is not their fault at all. They could seriously use some improvement by having a better management group. read more

This place is always in great condition! I am in a league here and I have to say of all the bowling alleys I frequently go to this one is my favorite! EVERY TIME I have bowled here I can see tons of lane conditioner (oil) on the lanes starting a foot from the foul line. Not just in league but every time I visit. I have never asked myself "did they even oil the lanes today? " like I find I do at a few other places. This place is always ready to go. One subtle difference here is the boards themselves. There's a black outline on the edges of every 5th board..what that is for is those are the boards the arrows are actually on! How cool that you can use them to walk up straighter, or aim more consistently. Most places don't have this little tool so look for the black lines next time you go. My highest score wasn't bowled here...yet...but if I'm on my A game then Bowlero Glendale will reward me for my skills for sure! Get the summer pass. Outrageously expensive to bowl. Went at 11am and was crazy expensive! They did not have enough staff to work all positions and it left tons of kids messing around playing on the bowling equipment as their parents were not caring what their children were doing. Recently reserved a lane for Father's Day weekend. We were welcomed by a host and were very accommodating. Take us to our lanes and helped us get set up and made sure he was there for anything we needed. They have a lot of options, bar for the grown ups and an arcade for the kids as well. We tried a few different appetizers and were really good as well. Only issue I had was some of the staff at the food bar. They completely lacked customer service skills and we're so unfriendly. Wow! What a great experience tonight. We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and we are so grateful we did. Our time tonight was absolutely top notch, and it's worth mentioning a few star people. Tyler H. was the spearhead to a great staff of people that we encountered. Special note that I saw was that he walks up and down the lanes to make sure everyone is doing well; going above and beyond in every aspect I saw; courteous, professional, and polite.
