Of course the great thing is they cook at your table, which adds to the entertainment drama. I wouldn't have the scallops again, but the scotch fillet steak was awesome and the Chilli chicken was okay. We also got a side sizzling dish of beef in a soy sauce with onion which was nice. You can also Byo here which for a Monday girls night was perfect for a bargain price of $10. I think all up we spent $50 each after an additional glass of wine and there was plenty of tasty food. Until now... Darac has been in my bookmarks now for some time and last night I finally got there for an early dinner. My dining companion and I shared the gyoza and then had a bibimbap each. The worst thing about this place? We waited for what seemed an eternity after ordering and I wanted to lunge myself across the table next to us to eat things from their bubbling cauldron of "stuff". It smelt amazing, btu having waited for 30 minutes for ANY food to arrive on my table meant I was about ready to chew my own arm off. Finally, the bibimbap arrived and shortly thereafter, our Gyoza (which sits under the Japanese banner rather than the Korean, but hey let's not get technical). The filling was fresh, the dough soft and not greasy and the side dish of yuzu dipping sauce was amazing and lifted the seafood filling. The bibimbap? AWESOME. I'm all for participative dining, so anything I need to mix, assemble or play with is good in my book. Bimbimbap fits the brief, needing to be mixed up (with the accompanying mild and sweet sauce or the hot chilli EVIL) being being devoured. I drowned that bad boy in chilli sauce and loved that the hot clay bowl it comes served in continued to keep the whole dish hot throughout my eating frenzy. However, I'm of the opinion that cooking your own meat is half of the fun of it. The staff were pretty insistent that it would only be them flipping and cutting the meat. Gripe over... Nevertheless, this place would go down as my favourite Korean BBQ place in the CBD. I'd say it edges the places near Vic markets and beats Dae Jang Geum Korean BBQ in Chinatown. Of all the ones I've tried, Hallah is definitely my favourite. The staff are so delightfully friendly that I felt like a regular from my first visit. They're attentive without overdoing it, and seem genuinely interested in making sure you pick the right dishes. The food is also really thoughtfully prepared, from the main dishes right down to the kimchi and other accompaniments. Best of all, the entire restaurant is noticeably less smoky than nearby alternatives - that alone is enough to get my vote, because as much as I love BBQ, I don't love smelling like a meat tray for days after. If you're looking for some good Korean BBQ, this is my pick.

Usually with places there's always a few dishes you don't like, but I have loved every dish we've tried. The waitress is fabulous. Excellent service. On busier nights she still manages to keep waters topped up and takes orders and make all the drinks. A definite recommendation.
